Mega Worm - PLAGRON.
Mega Worm 20 mll
Today, on day 14, I gave her some of this fancy Mega Worm amendment: sprinkled about 200 ml of it onto the soil and mixed it into the top layer with my hands. Already quite impressed with how quickly she grows, given my lights are rather weak!

Grow Questions

What kinda training would you recommend for this strain? RQS say it tends to 'grow one big main bud with just a few small branches,' so would it still make sense to do LST here?

hi there Bigfloppa, it's always a good idea to do LST. Why? because LST promotes "lateral growth" . Nothing increases yield more than more lateral growth, so especially if there is a strong "apex dominance", then more lateral growth means more yield. Start LST early and follow it through until flower for the best results. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Root Complex - Hesi
Root Complex 5 mll
RQS say this strain tends to grow one big main bud, so I started LST nice and early on day 16 as I've been advised to do by some fellow growers here last week. Let's see if we can break its apical dominance :) -- Got a sample of Hesi root complex, so gave her some of that (5 ml in 1 l water). Update: the root complex be bussin!! I'm propagating a bunch of houseplants rn and they're rooting much faster with the complex than they'd normally do, so I'm sure the cannabis plant is very happy as well. -- Day 21 update: LST has been going fine: I got some proper gardening wire, I readjust it daily, and I'm very pleased with the first results. There is bad news tho: I finally tested the pH of my tap water and it measured a whopping 8.5, so my lady has been missing out on things like P, Fe, Cu, and Zn, and not getting all the nitrogen she could've 😞 Better late than never, so from now on I'm gonna be keeping it at 6.0-6.5. Also, my local store ran out of pH down and I couldn't bother ordering it, so I experiment with vinegar instead. 1 ml of 6% vinegar per 1 l water brings it down from 8.5 to 6.5; 1.5 ml -- to 6.0; 2.0 ml -- 5.0.

Very thick and bushy after just one week of LST! I started giving her Bio-Grow for the nutrients and also plan to add some bat guano to the pot at the end of this week as we're soon entering the flowering stage. -- Day 28: removed a couple of leaves at the very bottom of the plant and added 50g of 1:10:1 bat guano + 200 ml worm castings to the soil; worked into the top layer with my hands.

Upgrade: the main cola is getting pretty dense, so I got a clip-on fan to control humidity! Another upgrade: grow tent!

She getting really sticky and frosty now! I'm doing lots of defoliation this week and giving her about 50 more grams of the 1:10:1 bat guano.

I left the plant alone for two weeks, and it's withered a bit even tho I watered her lots before leaving and she's only been getting a few hours of daylight from the window. The stalks and fan leaves are ok but the buds now smell like dried plant matter, so I'm gonna give her a few days to see if she recovers and then harvest early if she doesn't.

Ended up harvesting after 10 full weeks instead of the recommended 12 as the buds didn't recover from the dehydration damage. Total 4g dried trimmed buds + 1.5g very frosty trim. Quite alright for a first grow with almost zero equipment :)
