Soaked for 24 hours then planted directly into FFOF. She's taking off like a champ so far! I'm really liking skipping the paper towel method. Not having to worry about hurting the delicate taproots is nice.
She's loving life! So far this plant is having no real issues from the looks of it. There are some slight waves in the first set of leaves. I added a fan because I thought it might be due to stagnant air, and now the plant seems to be doing even better!
I think I was overwatering her. She still seems to be growing well, but just has some really droopy leaves going on. The side shoots started branching out more this week.
I'm planning to start feeding some light nutes this coming week.
A lot of progress on the lower growth. I'm flipping to flower tonight! I defoliated some of the bigger, branchier fan leaves, but kept it light overall.
Removed some of the larger fan leaves this week to get some more light down to the lower shoots. The lower growth is really taking off and filling out like a beautiful bush. Not a lot of stretch here at all in the first week of flower. Also still no signs of pre-flower.
Did a decent amount of defoliation on this girl. I also ended up removed a couple of lower stalks that were just getting completely dominated by other branches.
She's been a very droopy plant overall. Maybe it's just my inexperience with a 5 gallon pot, but I'm not sure. Also, she's showing signs of flowering, but not actual pistils like you would typically. Definitely no nanners, but just nothing. It's odd.
This plant is a bit finicky. She seems to be drooping a lot and is super branchy and hard to deal with. Really wish I would have just stuck with a 3 gallon pot because I'm seeing no benefit to the 5 as of yet.
This plant is also a bit of a mutant with the way she's sexing. Definitely a girl, but not showing pistils in the traditional areas. Overall she's doing well, but a pain to keep up with.
Did a bit more defoliation this week, but I think that'll be the last of it for while.
I'm really impressed with the trichome development I'm seeing on this plant! My smell is still a bit fucked from covid so I'm not picking up a lot of scent yet, but I imagine it must be there a bit.
Overall, she seems to be out of stretch mode and now focusing on flowers.
This plant is thriving in flower. It's got such an even canopy apart from the top. The trichomes are really developing a lot and the buds are starting to fatten up a bit. They seem nice and dense so far!
She's absolutely loving life! I'm figuring out a good watering pattern for her and it's been totally smooth sailing for the last couple of weeks. Trichomes are still just developing like crazy and there are a few more orange hairs showing as well. I'm pretty positive this is a minty pheno and I'm pumped!
Not a whole lot to report with this one as usual. She seems to be loving the flowering life and just keeps getting frostier by the day! I guess next week will be my last week of nutrients and then i just might be able to start flushing. I guess only time will tell!
Still progressing nicely without much to update on. I'm going to start flushing this week, as I started to see some amber trichomes pop up. Definitely planning to go 10, but might go 11 weeks with this one to match up with my Laughing Buddha.
Started flushing this week! The mint aroma is definitely still there. More like a spearmint smell in my opinion. I'm hoping it REALLY comes out in harvest. Either way, this gal is frosty AF and probably coming down at then end of next week!
This girl was really fun and easy to trim. The calyx to leaf ratio was great! She wreaked of mint during drying and the same is happening during curing. I'm so glad I got this pheno!
