My grow started off as a shit show, the plants were growing fine but i didn't have a very good light, no airflow in or out, and no experience or knowledge to grow cannabis, that doesn't start coming til about week 4!
So this is the week i really started to find myself having problems. i wasnt monitoring ph levels, tracking how long plants were in pots for, or even know what strain genetic information was, this is when i started hitting the books.
At this point in the game i'd started learning how to properly grow cannabis, but i was far from done! i had initially thought the discoloring of my leaves was from the plants outgrowing their pots, on week 5 here i transplant the plants, and hit them with nutes and calmag, having no idea the plants were actually suffering from a ph lockout. as i said, my first grows turning out to be a shitshow, but i myself as a grower have come a long way.
Here in week 6 we have quite a few upgrades! I ordered a 4 inch inline fan & filter kit from amazon, added C02 in the room, added more fans for more airflow. i also bought a ph & ppm tester! Finally able to monitor ph levels i started watering with a ph of 6.2, it was until then that the lockout started serolving. i also started LST and defoliation or "lollipopping".
More big upgrades this week! Purchased a new tent, it was a cheaper knockoff tent 6x6, added a net, also flipped to flower! More defoliation and i bent the mains stocks of the two tallest plants over because i didn't like how tall they were.
In this week we didnt have much for upgrades, i added a full sized oscillating fan, i removed the elastic net because i wanted to change it to a nylon style net, and i also wanted to transplant before i set them into netting. Started observing many pistols forming at bud sites.
Alright this week we started doing great! transplanted to 7 gallon fabric pots, added nylon netting. started to get gnats so i bought yellow sticky traps. plants were stretching as they should be. all in all a good week!
Everything seemed to run smoothly in this week, i did more selection defoliation, upped the nutes, and continued to observe the growth of flowers. We started to get heavy trichome productions around bud sites, and the smell started to become, quite dank.
This has surely been a great week! the plant switched the focusing of energy from stretching to the light, to the bud production, and i couldnt be happier!
Bud are really fluffing up, noticing more and more white hairs fading to red, some purpling of the edges of leaves. 11/09/2021 i found ONE amber trichome!!!!! Shes starting to ripen up.
@CannaGrowNetwork, 😅😁💪 yeahh go for it 💪💪💪 we should always do the best we can until we know better, and them do better 💚💚💚 baby steeps with love, always believing and learning, we never know it all and there’s always space for better and thats part of the fun 😁💚💚💚 growers love and keep it up 💚💚💚
@DogDoctorOfficial, Haha, i'd have to do another round with the strain before i'd be able to say if its a keeper or not, now that i actually know what i'm doing!😅😆
You should add flora micro. Tbh, it's a must when using grow and bloom, you are missing out. Well everything I've ever read about any bloom, grow is that you need a micro enzyme. Just a thought.
But, good luck, with contest. You have really great harvest and look quality, which is most important!!! Well done. Hope to join yous soon..
@gottagrowsometime, I will look into it! i asked the guy at the hydro store for an easy to use nutrient and he didnt bring up the micro, just showed me the grow and bloom! I'll deff check that out though thank you.
