Hello everyone! I have never grown on coconut and hydroponics before, used only substrates with soil, and now I am starting my first grow on coconut with reversible watering. Maybe I will need your advice and recommendations. Please be happy in my first report on the growdiaries. I started by tossing a Painkiller seed into a Root Riots. Then I prepared a starting solution for buffering the substrate, poured it into the WaterFarm system (T.A) and turned it on for several hours. Here and throughout the report I will indicate not milliliters, but ppm solution. Now I will tell you about my setup, what kind of light and hydroponics I use. In the following I will describe the fertilizers used, as well as the rotary variety. 🙌
For the plant, I use a reversible irrigation system Euro WaterFarm V3 GHE 😎

👽Small burst into life and strives only forward. There was hand watering this week. I will start the automation soon.
Fertilizers are indicated in ppm, root booster in milliliters.
This week I turned on automatic watering 2 times a day for 10 minutes. After that, the plant began to overflow, then I realized my mistake and temporarily returned to manual watering. Otherwise, everything went quietly and calmly, since the killer is building up the root system, events and rapid growth have not yet taken place.
Since my plant is sativa dominant, I decided to abandon the use of Hybrids and change the base fertilizer to GHE. I use Root Booster and Diamond Nectar exclusively in the form of a spray on the leaf, so that organic matter does not shorten the life of the solution. Mister small has built up root power and copes with abundant watering more easily. I water it 2 times a day for 10 minutes. After watering the PH solution grows slightly, I let it balance between 5.5 and 6.2.
I also updated the first post in the report. Added information about my system and lighting!👽
👽Salaam to all! Another week has passed. Today I will start with nutritional information this week, I will tell you how I trained my beauty and what basic fertilizers I use.
👋This week I made a new solution, for ~ 9.5 liters of water I used:
Liquid Silicone 3 ml
2 milliliters Calcium Magnesium
7.8 Gro, 5.2 Micro, 2.6 Bloom
And 6.5 ml pH Down
I got 666ppm and 5.5 pH.
I immediately poured 8 liters into the system, and within a week I topped up the leftovers and adjusting the PH from time to time. Additionally, on the sheet, I use stimulants Root Booster, Energy Spell, Fulvic.
💪Now about training:
At the beginning of the week, I did super cropping, a technique that involves breaking the stem of a plant to inflict minor damage and stress on it. And as we know, the natural response to stress in our plant is the production of cannabinoids. Therefore, by properly sprinkling the branches of the plant, we will kill two birds with one stone: we will get an effective bush shape and increase the potential of the cones. I also did this so that the side branches grow back faster and the plant does not receive early stress from the cut off head.
At the end of the week, I did the topping, as the plant continued to grow well and reached the 6 floors I needed. Topping (from the English verb to top - to cut; in Russian it is also used "to stomp") - a cut of the top of the plant between the nodes (internodes / pairs of leaves). Such training is carried out when the plant already has nodes. This breaks the classic herringbone shape of the plant, giving the nodes light and air. And the plant, instead of concentrating all its forces on the central cola, begins to pay attention (read energy and nutrients) to new growth points, which will later become colas.
🙌And finally, I'll tell you about fertilizers:
We need to start with this: GHE Flora Series (now called Terra Aquatica in my country), consisting of three components and developed in California in the mid 70s of the last century. Since then, its formula has been improved many times. This drug is able to give a plant everything that it needs at all stages of its growth by varying the proportions of its components and their concentration. It contains all the necessary useful elements and trace elements.
FloraGro. This component provides the plant with vigorous growth during the growing season.
FloraBloom. During the growth period, this component allows the formation of the roots of the plant culture. In addition, it has a positive effect on his general condition. This component acts most effectively during the flowering and fruiting period, when its capabilities are realized one hundred percent.
FloraMicro. This component is considered basic. Its main task is to feed the plants with all the required elements in the form of chelates. They include sub-trace elements, which are secondary substances. FloraMicro contains buffering particles to help stabilize the acidity (pH) of the solution.
🙏Thanks to everyone who reads my report and gives feedback. This is very important and makes me happy. Feel free to ask questions or make recommendations. Next week I will talk about the supplements and stimulants I use, as well as show the effects of my workouts. See you soon. Peace for everyone! ✊
😎Shalom brothers! Another week has passed and I am glad to share the results with you again. This week I continued to do all sorts of experiments testing my girl for strength. We survived lst, defoliation and cloning. And I also added 30 watts of red light with a wavelength of 630nm, using Samsung 351LH diodes. This spectrum enhances flowering, and helps the plant to form internodes with shorter distances, which will give more growth points for future buds.
👌Let's start with nutrition. I changed the frequency of watering, now my plant is watered 6 times for 20 minutes during daylight hours, every 3 hours.
This week I made a nutrient solution with the following recipe:
Water 183 ppm, 8l
Silicon 4ml
Сalmag 1.5ml
GHE Flora: Gro 7.5 Micro 5 Bloom 2.5
pH down 5.5 ml
Total 669 ppm, 5.6 pH
💪About training. Let's start with LST:
Low stress training, abbreviated as LST (LowStressTrainig), is similar to the art of bonsai except for cannabis plants. This is a special technique of bending and tying plants to give them the desired shape.
LST will also help you get a lot of massive buds by leveling the crown of your plant so that the lighting is more effective on it. Using LST will help you increase your yield and is surprisingly fun.
😈The following I did defoliation:
Pruning leaves or defoliation is an old Japanese technique that has been kept secret for a long time. The main goal is the intensive development of the tree, that is, in one year the tree goes through a two-year growth cycle.
This method consists in partial removal of leaves. Classically, only deciduous trees are subjected to such an operation. But, it is quite possible to do this with some tropical plants and not only, in order to bring them out of a prolonged period of dormancy.
Defoliation leads to a decrease in the size of leaves and an increase in their number. As a side or positive effect, the rejuvenation of the crown can be considered, that is, new and fresh foliage appears, which will be better preserved and will have a more attractive appearance and bright color.
👊And as promised, I'll tell you about stimulants:
GHE Root Booster - a natural supplement for the growth of the root system; promotes the growth and development of a rich, healthy root system. The preparation contains vitamins, enzymes, organic and humic acids that stimulate root growth without synthetic additives.
GHE Fulvic - Soluble humates (humic and fulvic acids) contain a huge amount of natural components that stimulate plant growth, as well as enhance nutritional ingredients. Fulvic acid is the substance that does all the hard work: converting nutrients into a form readily available to plants, which increases the efficiency of the nutrients.
RasTea Bio-Energy SPELL is a universal 100% organic stimulant for improving metabolism based on highly concentrated and highly purified humic and fulvic acids in combination with vitamins, amino acids, polysaccharides, extracts and extracts from plants, ensures better absorption of nutrients by plants. The unique formula activates the natural potential of plants, which has a beneficial effect on all stages of development, increasing stress resistance, growth intensity and yield.
I give all three stimulants one sheet at a time, and since they are somewhat similar, I give them in turn.
👽Well, see you next week. This will be the last week of the growing season, we will go through another workout, take a break from stress and go to the bloom.
🙌Another week passed and we met again, friends! This time I did two defoliations, and at the end of the week I brought the plant to flowering. During the work with changing the solution, I did not notice how I pulled the branch and it broke. I had to save her using available methods, fortunately she was saved and after the stress she continued to grow. I changed the watering regime, now during daylight hours the plant is watered for 10 minutes every hour.
👉Solution:
Water 190 ppm, 8l
Silicon 4ml
Сalmag 2ml
Gro 7.5 Micro 5 Bloom 2.5
pH down 5.5 ml
Total 729 ppm, 5.6 ph
The plant feels good, and eats steadily, after a hard workout, I diluted the solution with water with CalMag to 660 ppm, since under stress the needs decrease and you need to be careful to avoid overdose.
😉I forgot to tell you about one important supplement that I use. This is silicon from Growth Technology company. Potassium silicate 6%. Elemental Silicon is a highly beneficial plant nutrient. It has a proven role in cell wall formation, offering mechanical strength to the cells and therefore to the entire plant. Additions of Liquid Silicon to the nutrient tank will deliver bushier plants with darker foliage.
👽Well, we expect rapid growth, ahead of the pre-flowering stage!
😴This week has not been full of events. After severe defoliation and transfer to flowering, the plant gradually came to its senses, overgrown with foliage and grew by 3 floors. It still eats well, there are no visible problems.
👉Solution:
Water 170ppm, 8l
Silicon 4 ml
CalMag 2 ml
Micro 7, Gro 7, Bloom 5.25
pH Down 5.5 ml
Total 753, 5.6
🙌The plant quickly absorbs nutrients at the time of pre-flowering, so the amount of substances in the solution quickly dropped from 730 to 600 ppm, I added back to 750, next time to 800, and finally reached 900 ppm in the week. I really like the intensity of the absorption of substances, it promotes active growth and mass gain, which is what I need!
👌16 days have passed since the lighting mode changed to 12/12. The plant grows vigorously, even if I do not let it stretch out with a highly intensified light flux. I like undersized and fat plants. The baby also absorbs nutrients well and does not show any problems with her appearance. I associate the absence of the first signs of inflorescences with a low temperature; now, due to the cold, the temperature of the solution is 16-18 degrees.
👉Solution:
Water 190ppm, 8L
Silicon 4
Calmag 2
9 Micro, 9 Gro, 6.75 Bloom
pH down 3 ml
Total 990, 6.3
👺The volumes of liquid drunk increased markedly, if earlier I just changed the solution once a week and the killer drank about 1-2 liters, now I add 3-4 times a liter and add nutrients, since about 100 ppm is eaten per day and the pH falls about by 0.5.
🙌I think that flowers will start to form next week. Looking forward to.
👋This could be another usual week of waiting for my killer to bloom. However, I decided on tough measures. I raised the nutrition to 1200 ppm (which the baby coped with) defoliation in two approaches with a difference of 24 hours. At the end of the week, I replaced the solution with a flowering composition.
👉Solution:
Water 190, 8 liters
Silicon 4
CalMag 2.5
Gro 5.3, Micro 10.6, Bloom 15.9 (1-2-3)
2 pH down

😨The plant ate it before 790, the next day I added more
Silicon 0.5
СalMag 0.5
Gro 1.6, Micro 3.2, Bloom 4.8
Total in the tank - 1130 6.1
😻And today, December 31, exactly on the New Year's Eve, I finally received a package with additional lighting. Now in my box there are additional strips with ultraviolet light with a power of 30 watts, and the number of red booster has increased to 60.
👽This will be SUPERMEGABLOOM. We are waiting for the development of events.
💪Hooray, we are finally switching to color. Mustaches and even the first "dandelions" appeared. At the end of the week, I forgot to turn on the watering timer, climbed into the tent at night, and found that the LED on the fan power supply was on, which I forgot to cover, perhaps it helped to delay flowering. I brought the food up to 1200ppm, which the baby was coping with, and then did another tough defolition, cutting off the hopeless small branches and spreading the colas more evenly. Afterwards, I lowered my nutrient load.
👉Solution:
Water ~190ppm, ~8l
Silicon 4
СalMag 2
Gro 5.5, Micro 11, Bloom 16.5
0.2 pH down
960 ppm, 6.7 pH
🙌 And I'm here again. Luckily this week my Asian pH meter was submerged in a solution. This time I did not stint and took the device from Milwuakee, model PH600, which is the original device from which my Chinese was licked. And since I decided to buy, at the same time I took a thermometer, and a measuring tape.
The plant this time did without training. However, I found another way to harm him. When measuring, I lift the upper part of the tank, in which the plant is located, put it on the corner of the tank itself, take measurements and put it back.... And every time I did this, I did not notice that one of the stakes rested against the lamp, for which, of course , followed by burns on the sheets, a neat round shape.
👉 Solution:
Water 190, ~8l
Silicon 4
Kalmag 2
Gro 6.5, Micro 13, Bloom 19.5
0.7 pH down
Total 1060ppm, 6.5 pH
💪 Plus, I started using the stimulant for the flowering phase - Flower Fuel from Element Nutrients. This is a dry mix containing more than 40 different components. Among them: vitamins, hormones, amino acids, essential organic components, as well as all the micro- and microelements necessary to obtain the best yields. The directions say to use 1/4 teaspoon per 1 gallon (3.87L) of water. I made a concentrate, in distilled water, to use 2 ml per 1 liter when mixing in a tank. However, I use it as a foliar top dressing, at a concentration of 1 ml per 1 liter.
🙏And now the third week of color has passed, and the sixth from the transfer to 12/12. The resulting buds have already developed sugar and the plant has gone through another mild defoliation. One day, the temperature of the solution reached 14 degrees, and so that the plant would not fall into a coma from this situation, I placed a polyethylene foam gasket under the system, which subsequently helped the temperature not fall below 15 °

👌After the haircut, I diluted the compote with water to 800ppm, and kept the food like that for 2 days, until the killer began to actively absorb the solution again.
👽The rye is earing, the sugar is sugaring, the cone is budding. Slowly but surely we move forward through the flowering stage, arranging for ourselves obstacles and entertainments of various perverted kinds. This time, the idea came to my mind that for a plant of this size, in the flowering stage, 3 liters of coco substrate in which it is contained may not be enough. The root system filled the entire space as much as possible and turned into a dense briquette (photo under the spoiler) and there are no opportunities for its further development, since I remove the roots hanging down to the bottom of the tank in a timely manner. Therefore, I dismantled my bush from the system and poured a new layer of coconut fiber on the bottom in a volume of about 2-3 liters, and installed the curly one in place. Madame painkiller coped with such a test as always perfectly well, judging by the rate of absorption of fluid and nutrients. But then there was one small embarrassment, in the form of a longitudinal crack on the trunk between the two upper stakes, due to inaccurate stretching due to sprinkled coconut, the height of the bush changed, respectively, and the tension became higher, followed by a break. But here, too, an indispensable friend of any grower came to the rescue, a tomato garter from a garden store! We shamanized the trunk a little and we go further.

Painkiller again lost several fan sheets that were lost among the stakes, and also slightly dressed up from the side bordering the neighboring Cheese. Nutrition after was reduced and maintained further at the level of 850-900 ppm. On the tops of the cones, in some stakes, individual cups are actively extended, resembling a fox's tail, but not in such numbers, I assume that this is a genetic feature. The rest of the plant is doing well, the buds look bulky and still light.

😷The 7th week of flowering has passed, as I managed to notice the plant stopped growing in height and began to gain mass more actively. Painkiller was destined to live up to its name this week. At some point, I managed to catch COVID and went on sick leave. Then, in search of alleviation of my lot, my gaze fell on the lower, less promising branches, on which, however, good inflorescences had already formed. A couple of movements with a knife and scissors, the branches are separated from the trunk, excess foliage is removed, and some of the inflorescences dry in a closet, and some fall into a water bath. I can definitely say that the variety justified its name. The main symptoms - headaches, discomfort from temperature, aches, muscle pain and poor sleep were partially stopped.
🙌I also finally put together a second box, which will greatly help me expand my growing options. An awning with dimensions of 40x40x160 was purchased, and it was horizontally divided into 2 compartments in dimensions of 40x40x80, and a 65w NoName lamp from Aliexpress was installed in each compartment, ventilation for both compartments is common, BlaubergDucto 100. At the time of testing, they show themselves well. I put clones of the above-mentioned Cheese and Painkiller into the box to preserve genetics.

🕶️Painkiller continues the path, which is already close to the semantic denouement. The inflorescences are getting bigger and denser every hour, and the aroma has already filled the whole city (no). Gradually, the mass is gaining, to the touch the cones are already becoming dense, some tension from the weight can be seen along the branches if you move the plant. The bush exudes a pleasant smell of a subtle smell of lemon and ginger. The sepals on the stakes that are closer to the main light source continue to diverge in different directions. There were no special manipulations on the plant during this week.

👽The plants are increasingly sprinkled with trichomes and reveal their terpene profile. In the killer, in addition to lemon and ginger, diesel notes began to be felt. Considering that the ninth week has gone, out of the eight declared by the bank, I transferred the bush to the food for the final stage of maturation, namely Ripen from GHE (now T.A.). The problem of fox tails has not gone away, and I decided to look at Painkiller's parents, and they are Respect 13 x Juanita la Lagrimosa, and everything fell into place, and both strains have similar inflorescence structures, with sepals protruding to the sides, which allowed me to show my form to the fullest and even excessively, in the conditions I created.
😈FinalPart®️ is a complete flowering stimulator that does not require any additives. It stimulates flowering and enhances the production of active plant components, as well as eliminates excess nutrients. It is also claimed to be a "forcing solution" that can be used in any circumstance where you need to speed up and improve flowering, and at the end of each annual flowering/fruiting cycle to enhance flavor and increase yield.

😰Now it's time for a series of long-awaited final posts. And for a tragic reason, it comes sooner than it should. Painkiller, according to early tests, is ready to eliminate both pain and stress on its way, but, alas, it was unable to cope with the mold on the cones. At the moment of taking a photo, my eyes caught on a light fluff sticking out behind the trichomes, which seemed extremely strange to me. Approaching, and after a careful examination, I found pockets of mold infection on several stakes and the bush was immediately put under the knife.
✊The Killer spent the last 10 days on ripen, which was planned for another 4 days, and then FlashKleen from T.A. As a result, the wedge did not take place, however, during the ripening, the cones still gained density and were abundantly covered with sugar. Most of the trichomes are cloudy, some remain transparent and some amber, I think the ratio is about 60 / 20 / 10.

💀HARVEST. The cycle took: 130 days, 5 germination, 34 vegas, 22 days preflower, 69 days flowering.
👽 Overall impression
A sample of Painkiller XL genetics that came across to me during the cultivation process turned out to be extremely malleable to training. The first couple of weeks, due to my lack of experience with reverse watering, the plant fell into overflow several times. Topping, frequent defoliation, stretch marks, broken branches, excess lighting, this fighter experienced all kinds of stress, and with the help of nutritional correction he quickly returned to active growth. The temperature of the solution, most often was in the region of 14-18 degrees, since my house is quite cool and in the winter months the air temperature at home is kept in the region of 19-20 degrees. I think this may have also affected the growth rate and the extended pre-flowering stage. The only problem the plant has not dealt with is rot caused, it seems to me, by a combination of external conditions - low night temperature of 17-19 degrees + humidity at 55-65% and my inaccurate appeal to cleanliness - the lack of gloves when examining buds.
🍀Phenotype
Judging by the long narrow fingers of the leaves, and the rate of growth, the Sativa genes predominate in the plant. There has been a major growth spurt since the transition on 12/12, from ~25 to ~65 cm in height, i.e. almost 2.6 times, so when growing, I recommend how to properly calculate the place for placement. The branches are powerful, thick, with a sufficient level of illumination, they allow the formation of cola with short distances between the nodes. After the pre-flowering, it is abundantly covered with trichomes, the buds come out very sticky and snowy, they look light, but if you push the top bud, then when the cola shakes, their density and heaviness are especially noticeable. The upper inflorescences were in conditions of high intensity of the light flux, which allowed the mutation to appear, like a "fox tail". Cups, instead of layering on top of each other and forming a dense bump, stick out thin branches in different directions.
🍋Fragrance
After 4-5 weeks, the Killer began to exude odors. Almost throughout the entire flowering, the smell was noticeable only in the box, a pleasant and light, but persistent, fresh aroma with hints of lemon and pine, diesel appeared several times. When rubbing a branch, the smell was firmly fixed on the hands and was hardly washed off.
🔪Harvest.
The harvest was removed in two stages, I cut off a couple of stakes when transferring to Ripen, at that moment there were about 60-70% cloudy trichomes, the rest were transparent and drops of amber. I had to cut off the main part when mold was found, the day before the planned transfer to FloraKleen. Cola, in which foci of rot were found, in the amount of 4 pieces were disposed of. The rest of the cones were sheared, carefully examined for new lesions, divided into separate parts and sent to dry. Dry for 4 days in a well-ventilated box, an additional fan for air circulation in the tent, directed to the corner. I do a daily inspection. After drying, repeated dry trimming was carried out. staff is weighed and sent to glass jars for curing. At the moment, it continues to lie in banks, without deplorable changes. I think I'll make an alcohol tincture out of it.
