I ordered some seeds from Mephisto and was happy to see I got a bunus of 5 seeds x 2 for a couple of new cross strains they are working on. So I decided to put one into the lineup and see what its like. It's a cross between Double Grape, Creme de la Chem, and Mango Smile so I'm calling it "Grape Creme Smile"

12/23-Added 1/2 gallon water. 6.2 ph/1370 ppm. Plant is starting to take off. Lots of bud sites showing from early topping. Planted this one for a laugh and it looks like a champ! 12/25-Added 1/2 gallon plus.

12/28-Watered half gallon with nutes (1,400 ppm and 6.2 Ph). Did some light defoliation. GCS continues to grow like clockwork. Because the plant is smaller than the other ones in the tent its getting a bit less light at 900 PPFD. Each day it gets a little taller so that should move up. Buds are really starting to develop. Because the plant handled the early topping so well its got a nice even canopy so far although I did some additional LST to pull some branches down to get light into the middle. 12/31-Watered with PH balanced water 6.2 Ph and 8 ml of Rhino Skin. Runoff was 1070 ppm and 6.0 Ph.

1/3/2022- Added 1 gallon of water but cut back on the nute mix from previous week. 6.3/1,000 ppm 1/6-Added 1 gallon plus of 6.2 Ph water with just Big Bud (4ml) and Bud Candy (4ml). Flushed it a bit to keep ppm around 1,000 mark. 1/7-Did some defoliating and LST to spread the branches out a bit. RECAP: Things are looking good. Plant is starting to stretch a bit and is starting to get very frosty. Still on the short side but looks to be cranking out alot of bud sites.

1/9-Watered to runoff with a reduced solution (Ph 6.3/824 ppm) in effort to keep runoff ppm within more conservative range. Had to push a couple of gallons of water through to bring it down under 1,000. Once I had it there I added the water with nutes and the final runoff was 6.2 and 872 ppm. I think that's right on the money now. GENERAL OBSERVATIONS- The plant has been very cooperative since the get go. Sprouted quickly. Handled topping at 14 days without a hitch. Developed very even canopy. Responds well to LST. Started preflower the earliest of all the plants (Gorila Glue and SD) that she's been growing along side. But she's definitely on the small size height wise. I compared her progress at Day 58 with the other plants and other than size she seems to be performing as well as the Sour D's andbetter than the Gorilla Glue. Small but mighty! 1/11-Watered to runoff with nutes at 6.5 Ph/820ppm. Runoff was 6.3 Ph/850 ppm. Getting frostier every day.

1/14-Watered to runoff with nute mix 6.2 Ph/950 ppm. Runoff was 6.1 Ph/980 ppm. The plant is getting super frosty and the buds are getting denser every day. This plant has the sweetest smell. It seems to have alot of the Mango Smile look and feel based on what I've seen on the Mephisto Genetics website. I can't wait to smoke this one. It's still very small in terms of height but it is definitely looking like a winner. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this little plant yields in the end. This is the first time I've used a 3 gallon pot and I'll always wonder what it would have looked like in a 5 gal pot like the SD's I'm growing. 1/17-Watered to runoff with just water 6.3Ph. Runoff was 6.2 Ph and 1,000 ppm. Plant is looking good and smelling amazing. 1/20-Watered with reduced nute mix of 6.3 Ph and 765 ppm to runoff. Runoff was 6.3/1,000. I can see some early traces of amber trichomes. The leaves are also starting to turn yellow and a couple of leaves have got some brown spotting going on. Not sure what that is or if I should be worried. I think that if the leaves keep turning and the amber trichomes get more prevalent I'll likely start flushing after the weekend. WEEKLY RECAP-Still small but mighty. Buds are fattening and stinking up the whole house. There are still alot of smallish buds that are very frosty but not quite as dense as I'd like to see so I'm going to try and stretch the grow for another week.

I'm at day 69 of my grow. The plant has been getting frostier and frostier, the leaves are starting to yellow, and I'm seeing the first signs of amber trichromes. Today I noticed the leaves are starting to get some brown spots. Should I be concerned so close to final flush?

If you going to be flushing in the next few days or 1 week no need to. Keep up your regular schedule of things your doing. To me it looks like blushing that happens end of harvest or when its exposed to lower temps. Nothing to fear. I would not worry. Happy Growing!

1/23-Watered to runoff with nute mix of 6.30 Ph and 830 ppm. Runoff at 6.25 Ph and 1,200 ppm. Buds are all fattening up. Going to see if I can get another week of budding before I start flushing. 1/25-Watered to runoff with 6. 3Ph water. Runoff 6.3 and 1200 ppm. Definitely heading into the homestretch with this plant. Slightly more amber trichomes appearing. I'd like to get to 77 days before I start the official flush. 1/28-She's still not showing a whole lot of amber trichomes but it's been 11 full weeks now so I decided to start a slow flush with the Flawless Finish while I'm waiting for more amber. Runoff was 6.3/1,000 ppm. Other than the small amount of amber trichs the buds are definitely getting more dense.

This plant was kind of an afterthought to my original grow with ILGM Sour D and Gorilla Glue. The plant was a cross between 3 Mephisto Genetics seeds. So I decided to experiment a bit. I put it in a 3 gallon bag. I topped it. It was healthy from early on but it never grew beyond 12 inches tall. So in the end I'll wonder how much bigger it might have gotten in a 5 gallon bag. I'm hoping that once it dries I'll get a couple of oz out of it. But I can't wait to smoke it.
