11/18/2021 - Day 13 - Alright, well I told myself I wasn't going to bother with a diary for this one, but I've been inspired by growth so here's the rundown:
A buddy of mine recently informed me that he has unlimited access to horse manure, and that he's been cooking his own soil for a few years with it. I decided to try a grow using purely the soil he cooked as well as some perlite for drainage. These are the results. Maybe it's because it's my first photo strain, maybe I finally learned about and paid attention fo VPD, or maybe its just the soil, but one thing is for sure; these girls are the biggest plants I've grown for the age they are.
My prior grows were frumpy little shits compared to what these are doing. It's not even 2 weeks and they're reaching over the sides of the pots!
I have them going in my veg tent for now, and will continue to veg them out until the flower tent is empty. I'm starting to feel like I'm not going to have enough room in the veg tent by then! These are really taking off!
The goal of this grow is to fill this 5x5 with these 3 girls to the best extent this light can handle. I know I should ideal have almost double the juice in a 5z5 but i still want room to move around in it so it should be okay. Then, come outdoor season, I'll take some clones for outside before flipping these to flower!

11/20/2021 - Day 15 - these things are BLOWING up. Seems like 2 have a slight Mg deficiency. Gave some molasses and calmag to hopefully give her some juice.
2/3 of these girls are turning yellow between the veins. I’ve been doing a 1tbsp/gal Epsom sly foliage spray & added same to 1 gal when feeding today. Grown in compost/perlite with some soil mixed in. The Durban looks good but the Ghost and the GSC both seem Mg def right?
11/27/2021 - Day 23 - made room and cleaned out the 5x5 where these girls will live out their lives. Started LST and plan on vegging for another month or so before getting a Scrog going.
My buddy gave me a Blue Dream from ILGM he was using as a mother. She was pretty jacked up with spider mites but after 4 weeks in isolation with diatomaceous earth/neem spray/ISO water mix spray she’s finally healthy enough to put the babies with.
VERY excited for this project.
From here, veg the 3 babies to the size of the dream, SCROG up and fill this tent up!
12/7/2021 - Day 34 - everything’s chugging along. Been working some light neem sprays into the regiment for prevention. I fear I’ll have spider mites forever now despite cleaning the tent. But it all seems okay. I’ll start DE soon also for prevention.
The Durban poison is the smallest of them all. But I’m happy with the progress on all of them. Probably another 3-4 weeks of veg size providing.

12/2/2021 - Day 29 - still see slight spider mites evidence on the blue dream.... at least I can treat properly since not in flower, though made need defoliation only.
All the other girls are chugging along. LST daily to help bush her out quickly. Trying not to defoliate unless it’s absolutely needed but they all seem fairly happy.
There are some black little flies that I see that I presume are chewing the leaves though

12/13/2021 - Day 40 - trellis applied waiting for the babies to catch up. Split the main stalk of the blue dream but she’ll live. It’ll slow her down while the others get big lol
12/10/2021 - Day 37 - finally getting the hang of this dry/water cycle. I’m starting to wait until I see them droop to water, and it’s really showing. Pots were bone dry last night and watered with 6 hours of sub left. Woke up and these babies were happy as can be!
Side note - got tickets to see John Mulaney in a few months, so let’s hope theyre done and ready for that! Gotta be ripping GSC dabs in the parking lot! Tick tock!
12/17/2021 - Day 44 - trellis coming along nice. Everything’s adjusting upward. Gonna try and get them spread out a bit more before moving to flower. Figure a week or so.
12/21/2021 - Day 47 - almost time to flower. Trying not to make them get too big but trying to get the canopy a little more even first.
12/27/2021 - Day 53 - more defoliation, stretch is starting. still blasting the blue dream with 50/50 iso/water mixture during the day and all of them with neem/oil mixture at night to try and kill anything that may be living on them before buds start forming. See a few pistils here and there.
12/24/2021 - Day 50 - haven’t defoliation done. Did as much as she needed. Day 2 flower. Still hitting heavy with the organic pest stuff until I see hairs start forming. Really wanna make sure everything’s dead before we get to the fun part!
Really excited for the stretch on these. Very curious to see how they all fill out!
1/5/2022 - Day 62 - lowered the light and put it to 100%, so just waiting for them to explode now.
Got something that looks like burn coming in on the leaves. I think it might be P or K deficiency. Gonna throw up a question for help from my growmies. Trying new feeding methods so expected to hit some bumps near flower.
All these girls in manure compost/perlite mix. Healthy through veg with minor Magnesium deficiency in the beginning. Been feeding 3ml/gal calmag occasionally, and 1/2 cup banana tea I made 1-2x a week. Waterings have been at 6.5, just lowered to 6.2. About 1/4 gal/plant 1-2 days.
Looks like nute burn to me. If they aren't getting enough water, then they cant absorb the nutes and get nute burn (even if you are feeding low on the nutes). They don't look thirsty, but that could be the timing of your photos. 1/4 gal (~1L) a day for a pot of that size doesn't seem like much water to me. I was watering my plants in 20L pots 5L of water every 2-3 days. Why don't you try watering them up until you see run off for the next few waterings. Lift the pot up and take a mental note of how heavy the weight feels. Give it a couple of days and then lift the pot again and see how much lighter it feels. If it feels lighter, repeat the process. Watering to run off allows you to confirm that the plant has enough water and unless you water again too soon, it won't overwater the plants. I was underwatering mine dramatically with my first grow and I really paid the price.

Your plants probably match the potassium deficiency the best as the burn is on the side of the leaves and not always at the ends. Check your NPK breakdown and up the potassium if you think its a little low. I would suggest you try the watering idea either way. Good luck!
1/10/2022 - Day 67 - upped banana tea to 1.5. They’re def hungry. They gotta be. They seemed to like it. The spider mites still show up on a leaf or two of the blue Dream. I’m still hitting it with ISO water mixture spray until I see serious buds come in which is any day now. Gonna be the hard road lol
1/6/2022 - Day 64 - somethings going on with the leaves. Either PK def or nute burn. No idea the strength of the banana tea, so I laid off it and just did ph 6.5 and going to see how they look over the next day or so. If no change then I’ll give MORE tea.
1/18/2022 - Day 75 - okay so these girls were looking hungry and since the 5 gals were folded I figured they probably wanted more room to grow. So I carefully flipped and pulled them and added more soil. Seemed to be pretty low stress. Also went to the Advanced Hydroponics series as I wanted to resort to a tried and true method to finish out flower. They’re slowly turning yellow which I’m hope this all helps.
1/15/2022 - Day 72 - frost coming in.
1/23/2022 - Day 80 - ph was definitely way too low. Runoff was 5.7. Upped ph and nutes to 6.8. Also think I was way under watering. I’m now giving a gallon every time, which is like every other day. They are for sure thirsty. Defoliate all the heavy yellows on the PGC and GSC. It’s seemed to have stopped on the ghost Candy but the GSC is still slowly turning yellow I think. But it’s definitely slowed. May just need to balance the ph more but the buds are picking up on both of them. I’ll definitely feel it though.
1/29/2022 - Day 86 - The smell on each of these is so unique.
The Blue Dream from ILGM obviously has a very hazy berry/floral smell. Very pungent. Stings the nostrils. I’ve already smoked clones of this direct plant from a friend that tested at about 26% THC on the tCheck 2 home test kit. Seems about right comparatively. Can’t wait to see how my grow does.
The Purple Ghost Candy from Seedsman straight up smells like grape. Brushed my hand against a cola on accident and almost wanted to lick the resin off. Smells super duper sweet.
The Durban Poison from Nirvana smells like sweet sweet Off! Bug spray. Which I generally don’t like but in this context it’s an approximation of the smell and is sweet. It’s no slouch on scent, but the other 3 of these strains are much more aromatic.
The GSC is the best of them. Just smells florally and fragrant. It is a very comforting aroma. My wife’s sense of smell since COVID has really ruined her affinity for the smell of cannabis, but she actually very much enjoys the smell of this.
I’ve made a vow to push all of these to full maturity. I’ve gotten antsy and jumped the gun on previous grows, all with decent smoke regardless. But I want to make sure I let all of these swell the fuck up good before chopping!
I’m anticipating about another 3-4 weeks. Had a minor power outage today from 6p-630p. Wasn’t so bad but the humidity was definitely up there for 30 minutes. Should be fine.
2/3/2022 - Day 91 - 2 days into week 7 of flower and things have finally balanced out. They’ve all stopped yellowing, but I think the fade is now starting. They’re all stacking day by day. The blue dreams on it’s last legs but it’s so terpy that I’m just gonna keep it around for rosin pressing.
Everything else, some more than others (I’m looking at you GSC) is looking fantastic. The Ghost Candy is a bit of a late bloomer and is surely showing its sativa genetics.
I’ve vowed to let these girls go as long as possible. I want them to be DRIPPING when I chop. No more jumping the gun as on previous harvests. Top shelf or bust.
2/10/2022 - Day 98 - tick, tock, tick, tock, almost time to start checking trichs!
The smell coming out of the tent is incredible, and all nutrient issues are under control. Just watering every other day, still feeding every other watering, and they are swelling by the day.
I'm super excited for the outcome. Going to try and do a 16 day cure, 60F @ 60%rh for a nice even dry.

Day time stuff. Harvested super early because she had spider mites and I didn’t want to risk the other 3 getting them. Heady stuff, keeps me going all day so that’s great. This was a clone of a buddies plant that came out to about 25% THC so I’m excited to give this a test despite not being at full maturity. Glad to see it go. The mites were a ducking headache for sure, and now I have some decent smoke to hold me over. Pressed really nicely, too.
2/16/2022 - Day 93 - the swelling has slowed and it’s just a matter of time now. Aiming to chop in a week. Never flushed before as I read that it’s bro-science more than it’s not, but I figured I’d give it a go this run, especially since I wanna give it another week anyway.
2/20/2022 - Day 97 - man.
So, I noticed some thin, tiny leaves coming in which looked like re-veg. I checked my tents smart logs and discovered my light timer has been turning off late for about 12-14 days. So my options were to try and revert back to bloom or just chop. I talked myself out of chopping yesterday but now that I see this, it is done. Very excited for the dry/cure on these, and ultimately the smoke. Will update more on the yield and smoke report once done!
Hey I tried to reply to your question, but you already accepted someone else's answer. I think it's PK deficiency, not nute burn. Nute burn happens at the tips, not along the sides, and PK def will usually be seen at the start-ish of flower. Consider increasing your feed. I can't see your nutrients/ppm but I'll bet on it. Unless your ph is way off and your plant can't absorb properly.
