Forgot to take pictures of the germination process. The one shown is of my first grow of White Rhino. I let her do her thing and grow as natural as possible. She yeild over 20g. Not quite an OZ. This time I'm running 3 and will LST them and see how much of a difference it will make in yeild. Based on my first grow and how she grew tall strong and sturdy, I'm expecting it to be perfect for LST.
Started with #2 being that I just harvested my first grow of WR. I haven't tested her yet, she is still curing. I've decided to make another run. Due to the sturdy and strong structure of the first one, I am curious to see how it will take to LST. #4 did not pop up like the other 2, I went in today to explore and turns out a heavy piece of mulch was over top of it. I removed it and could see the head of the sprout. She is about 2-1/2 days behind because of it.
White Rhino #2 has something going on with it, I'm not sure what. It is a lighter green color and isn't growing like #3. One of #2's cotelydons has a big chunk missing from it (it grew that way) I wonder if that has anything to do with it. White Rhino #4 is way behind the other two, it had a large piece of mulch preventing it from sprouting up. Once I removed the mulch and it sprouted and shed the shell, I noticed that like #2 one of its cotelydons is nearly completely missing as if something bit a large piece of it off. As a result it is growing slower as well.
Week progressed without any issues. WR#3 is obviously the strongest and healthiest of these three. WR#2 appears to be getting better but the leaves continue to grow a lighter green color compared to the other 2. WR#4 is the smallest, it took an extra 2 to 3 days to sprout due to large mulch on top of it once it did sprout it had a helmet head which further stunted it's growth, once the shell came off one of the cotyledons had a chunk missing. The 4th one is Mrs Jane Doe, a bag seed a friend was growing and decided to get rid of because her dog pulled it up from the garden along with Mr John Doe, who is in another tent. Not sure what type of dank it will be and hopefully it's not a male.
There is definitely something wrong with WR#2 the poor lady is not growing at the same rate as the others and is still light green, almost yellow, anyone know what may be the cause?
The other 2 plants are doing well, even little miss helmut head (WR#4) who I thought wasn't even going to make it.
I am continuing the same feeding schedule which is about every 3 to 4 days, plain/nutes/plain/nutes schedule. I plan on performing LST on WR#3 and #4 tomorrow. Hopefully it all goes well.
Week 5 went smoothly, they continue to veg and new bud sites sprout up everyday. This is my second attempt at LST and I think I am doing it correctly. WR#2 continues to lag behind. I didn't water it for almost a week and a half, I was going to give up on her couldn't figure out what was wrong. I decided to water her and give her 2 more weeks. I'm glad I did because while she is way underdeveloped compared to the other two, she is starting to get her green color back. Jane doe is doing amazing!! I wish I had pictures from when I first got her. She was wilted and on the brink of death. My sister started her in her outside garden and her dog uprooted it, they found it days later on the side of the house. She repotted it. I would see it when I visited and after 2 weeks of seeing her suffering and not getting better I decided to bring her to my inside tent. Against everyone's advice (don't bring outside plant in with indoor plants) I brought Jane Doe and another dying plant John Doe, and they both are flourishing now, and luckily didn't bring any pest into my tents.
I am switching them from 18/6 to 12/12 tomorrow. I can't wait to see how bushy White Rhino becomes as it starts to stretch.
The week progressed well, I WR takes very well to LST and is flourishing currently with minimal up keeping. In the pictures you can see where some of the bud sites will develop however they have not started flowering just yet, this will be week 2 since their transition from 18/6 to 12/12.
White Rhino #2 decided to kick into gear. I had all but given up on her because she wasn't growing and was discolored. I'd admit after week 3 I started treating her like a step child, black sheep of the family, lol. However she decided to pick up the pace, changed color back to normal and seems to be doing ok.
If you check my other diary on White Widow, or check out the question I ask If 2 plants were worth saving, you'll see the history of my John and Jane Doe plants. They both were dying pretty much on their last leg, against a few people's advice( they said they were a lost cause) as well risking brining pest into my tent by bringing outside plants inside, I adopted these 2 bag seed plants and now they are thriving. Im glad I decided to go against the advice given and show them love. So I I've included bonus pictures of them in this diary.
Well I'll be, today Marks the 3rd week since transitioning them. Both WR#2 and WR#4 turned out to be male. I have no use for males at the moment so they will get yanked. Sucks. Good news is more space in the tent for the other ones. WR#3 is all woman! Thank goodness. She gets all the attention!
Now that I look at them they could be hermies?? I don't know this is my 3rd run and I've only encountered 1 other male out of all of the plants I've grown and no hermies. I do see white hairs along with the sacks.
If I had to guess it is due to my grow room completely flooding. Actually my whole apartment flooded from a toilet leak while I was at work. No damage done to the equipment, but it did throw the humidity levels through the roof (it reached 80+ at night) the other plants I have in my tent (WW#1-4, John and Jane Doe)were able to withstand it, thank goodness🙌
I'm still a little bummed about WR#2 and #4 but it is what it is. WR#3 is healthy and doing well.
Jane Doe is amazing me more and more by the day. She was the runt of the family and now keeps stretching. I measured her on Tuesday 1/11/22 and she was 29" measured again today Friday 1/14/22 and she is 35". Hard to believe she was nearly dead 2 months ago.
Other than a little nute burn everything is going well. I notice that this plant requires more water than other strains. Every 2 days it appears. Jane doe continues to stretch and her buds are getting fatter.
This week progressed well. They continue to grow and flourish. I have feed them both plain tap water ph'd to 6.3 to 6.6. This is the last 3 weeks before harvest. I plan on watering them with nutes 2 times this week before flushing them next Saturday to prepare them for the final 2 weeks of flowering.
No issues what so ever with these 2 plants as the continue to grow and progress. I am flushing them out tomorrow in preparation of the harvest in 2 weeks. Jane Doe has exceeded my expectations as far as height is concerned. I look forward to seeing what they yield.
This is a very easy strain to grow. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 out of this last grow turned out to be males. The one female plant decided it wanted to produce a few seeds (hermie) but literally only one branch site was impacted and it just so happened to be the branch/bud that was closest to the fan. I'm not sure if maybe the constant whipping of the air may caused stress??? The seeds were underdeveloped and I only spotted them when I grounded up a bud to smoke.
I forgot to take pictures, sorry guys. I do have just a little over 14 g's left in a Mason jar I will take a photo of.
@MSNL_Seeds, thanks for the response! Thanks for the info on the Afghan,
Check out my new grow its called "Delicious Caramelicious" I'm currently growing 4 of your Caramelicious Feminized beans in 10 gallon pots. This by far is my most favorite strain right now, it grows very bushy and smell and tastes delicious!
@MrGrowthSpurt, Really sorry to hear about your germ issue we are more than happy to ship some more beans as replacement. If you message us privately on here, social media or email on support@marijuana-seeds.nl we'll resolve this for you.
Without seeing images of the Afghan it sounds like powdery mildew which is a type of parasitic fungus, that is a result of environment. It often appears in over-watered and overcrowded plants and high humidity environments - which is why it's important to keep clean air circulating. This is not a genetic feature i.e. related to the qaulity of the seeds although there are some strains that have better natural resistance. We have some really in depth guides on our website which are a useful for resource

@MSNL_Seeds, thanks Check out my other grow. I harvested 2 strains I purchased from you guys back in July #500588667. White Rhino, Afghan, Master Kush and Caramelicious Femenized (came as bonus 2 free). I let them grow naturally. I should mention that while the White Rhino and the Caramelicious were easy to grow and displayed strong genetics the batch of Afghan, I'm not sure if its my fault or what but I only have 3 seeds left of the 10 that I purchased all 7 of them developed some sort of white powdery substance on their leaves from an early on and all eventually toppled over as if they stalk couldn't handle the weight of the growing fan leaves. Are there special needs this strain requires? I'm new so I don't have enough experience to say they were bad seeds probably something I'm doing/not doing correctly. The Master Kush, Is a different story, not 1 of the 10 seeds I got germinated! My first diary was supposed to be Master Kush, Afghan, White Rhino and Carmaelicious, however the Afghan wilted and the Master Kush never came out of the starting blocks. After 3 separate unsuccessful attempts of germinating the MK seed, I said "truck it" and placed all 7 in a cup of water for 24 hours, then did the paper napkin method and still nothing, all 7! I have to say I was disappointed. I'm not writing this to "bitch" just thought you all should know my experience.
I'm doing a second run with the Caramelicious Feminized, due to the success of my first run and observing that she grew low and bushy with a sturdy stalk, I tried my hand at LST and boy does she look like a completely different plant! Unfortunately I didn't create a diary for her. I planted her Aug 25th and she is flowering and very bushy. I will add a bonus picture of it in the new diary I am doing with 3 White Rhino seeds. During my first run with white rhino I noticed how it sprung up fast and developed a lot quicker than the others during the vegetation stage. When it came harvest time this strain had the biggest and thickest stalk (not sure if that has any significant meaning) and yielded the fatter more denser buds. I just planted those about a week ago and I'm interested in seeing how well they take to LST.
Just so you know you guys were my first! lol. Shout out to Chris aka Mr. Growit he put me on to you guys in one of his Youtube videos. I look forward to growing more of your strains!
