Grape Ape

TamedFire Nothing to report this week. Business as usual.

TamedFire Transplanted to her permanent 3 gallon home. Very short and squat growth. Demonstrating heavy indica traits with her structure.

TamedFire Another week down. Another weeks growth to report on. Same as last week really.

TamedFire I'm thinking about another week and then she will be topped. Her branching is looking thick and nice. No nutrients are needed during veg unless I notice any deficiencies. One of the perks of using a quality amended soil.

TamedFire Topped this week and she is looking great. Very dense foliage.

TamedFire Performed some minor defoliation in preparation for starting flower next week.

TamedFire Nice indica structure on her. Really enjoying the low maintenance of this plant. I didn't even need to do the LST that I did do. Just top her and let her go.

TamedFire Not too bad of a stretch. Stacking really well. I read somewhere that she is difficult to grow for beginners and I totally understand what they meant by that with the amount of defoliation I've had to do. I've had to do more defoliation on this plant than any of the previous grows.

TamedFire Good ol' week 3 of flower. When the frost starts coming in and the smells should start hinting to what terps the plant will express. With a name like Grape Ape one would hope that she is going to smell like some grapes.

TamedFire Looking pretty frosty so far. She has more of a sweet gassy smell than a fruity smell. A friend on facebook recommended this cultivar to me in the One Love Genetics fan page. Our friendship depends on this plant turning out good.

TamedFire People said she's a heavy yielder and seems it's turning out to be true. She is an early finisher at 7-8 weeks so I have started Overdrive earlier than on average.

TamedFire Has an interesting sweet gas smell to her. Not very pungent and not fruity like I was expecting her to smell. As I've learned from experience with growing you can't judge the plant until the smoke report. That's where the magic happens.

TamedFire Last week of feeding as this is a strain that ripens early. She's very indica shaped. Not any color change either. I have four more seeds to play with so it will be interesting to see what other flavors and morphology is expressed.

TamedFire I would consider this strain to be more of an intermediate cultivar with the amount of defoliation I had to perform. Solid yielder. Stacks well and continues same structure into clones.
