Hello.
Sweet Seeds sent a privet message a few months ago and said if you want seeds to email and they sent seeds😃. The strains I got were Gorilla Girl 19 to 25% THC - Black Jack 16 to 21% THC and a Cup Winner and Sweet Zenzation. They sent 4 seeds of each. I think that's because we can legally grow 4 plants pre household in Canada.
Sweet Zenzation
Grape Ape x Zkittlez
Indica Dom
Height- Med
Yield- High
9-10 Weeks
THC - 16 to 23%
CBD - .2
Effect - Narcotic, relaxing, Stimulating, Talkative
Flavor - Candy, Fruity, Sweet
It's both relaxing and stress reliving. Yet it also stimulates the imagination and conversation
The flowers have a high terpene content. Exquisite aroma and sweet taste.
Hints of fruit flavored candies, with hardwood undertones,
Hints of lemons, cypress, aromatic peppers
I've got new lights that I'm not used to. I hit my head 3 times on the sides of the lights. Man they leave a sore spot. These aren't lite lights. The grow tents are made from cheap material but will do the job.
I hope to get a keeper.
Chuck.

Hello. Still in veg this week.
I'll grow them in these cups for another week and then into bigger pots and I'll do some better training then.
When I do the "rub the stock and smell you finger test" and they already have a fruity smell and I can feel a little stickiness on the fingers. So good so far.
I think I'll put some other plants in here to make 6. I think they will be Plants #5, #6 from the Whitey diary.
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week2 of veg and the beginning of week 3.
I was a garbage man once upon a time with 2 greenhouses so I collected small and large plant pots at work and brought them home. Saved a ton of money because they are not cheap to buy. I'm the cheap one😁 I went out to the plant pot pile and selected 6 good pots and trays.
I have not wanted to hurt--- well --- anything (except pests), So I would not do the real heavy plant training I see in some of these diaries. With HID lights and a light mover all I really needed to do was keep the plants out of the lights and the path of the light mover. So I found it hard to do the heavy training you see in the pictures. But with new LED lights I thought I would give it a try again. I need to widen the plants rather than let them grow and only topping them to slow them down. I ordered some 1ft. x 4ft. trays for hydroponics from Amazon but with this fucked up world I won't get them till February. So I chose soil for this grow. I mixed in about 2/3 of a cup of diatomaceous earth in each pot as a special treat for the fungus gnats.
I think another week or 2 before turning over to flowering.
See ya. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 of veg and the beginning of week 4 of veg.
I plan to veg for another week or 2. I like to take clones before going into flowering. So I need some small branches that have a few sets of leaves on them. And I need a few clippings from each plant so I can see we might be in veg for 2 more weeks before I can take clones. And the other clones The White need some more time to make cloneable clippings.
I finished the harvest of the main grow room and have everything in paper bags curing at this time. That took up most of last week.
It will take about a week to get the grow room up and running again before I can shift my attention back to the ventilation in this room.
The dehumidifier is keeping the room around 60 rh.
Till then. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 of veg and the beginning of week 5 of veg.
Wow the plant are sure growing well now. I'll try to take clones this week so I can go to flower next week. I got rid of one of The White when I saw I wouldn't have enough room with the dehumidifier in there now. The dehumidifier also adds some heat on these cold days and blows its hot air around the tent.
The cold front hit a few days ago. I only have heat in the small greenhouse. In the big greenhouse our apples froze. The potting soil froze. The pots I put out in the greenhouse a few days before the freeze to get the fungus gnats out of the house with the moist clay pellets in it. froze, and I need those to get the main grow room up and running. Oh well take life as it comes.😀
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 of veg and the beginning of week 6 of veg.
I'll be taking clones tomorrow. I'm taking 3 cuttings from each plant and keeping 1 clone from each plant alive until the end of the grow. Then I'll decide which to keep.
I'll also be doing some defoliating and LST as well. I'll wait a few days for the plants to heal and then I'll be switching over to flowering. The seed description said 9 - 10 weeks of flowering.
So far the 50 pint dehumidifier is about 1/2 full when I empty it each day.
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the first week of flowering. I turned the lights to 12:30/11:30 hours - 2 days ago. I like to give that extra 1/2 hour of light to wake up and warm up the plants and room before getting watered/feed.
This tent is ON through the night and closed for dark period at 8 a.m. I hope to get my main grow room up and running today after, pre Christmas harvest. I run that room through the day.
Everything is doing fine. I've increased the Cal-Mag a few ml per gallon and everything is looking green and healthy. Except for The White clone has some variegating in its leaves. The plant looks healthy but has some lighter green patches on the leaves.
Harvest in 10 weeks
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 of flowering and the start of week 2.
The plant are doing good and the stretching has started. I can see the bud sites starting to form and some white stigmas in sight. I'm sticking my finger in the soil to see when they need watering/feeding. I'm watering twice and feeding once then watering twice, you get the idea.
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering.
Everything is going good. These plant have gone into flowering rather fast. They seem to be a week ahead at this point. I usually see this amount of bud development at the end of week 3 not the beginning of week 3. I think that would be considered a good trait.
I like to give the plants a final trimming and sucker branch removal around week 3 of flowering and then leave them alone till harvest
So that's what I have planed for this week
Thanks for stopping in. Chuck.

Hello. this is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of flowering. If your interested, I wrote the strain description, from the breeder, in week 1.
I did my final trimming/pruning and I will leave the plants unmolested till harvest. I don't mind taking off a couple of fan leaves if they are blocking light from getting to the lower buds. I try not to take too many leaves, but as you can see, I can see through the plant to the planter now. The plant has recovered and it will be kicking in with the resin production.
The plants smell has kicked in, it smells like sour cat pee with some cedar undertones.
The center plant #3 looked a bit yellow so I dialed back the light to 60% for a couple of days and I might put a different plant in the middle to give it a break from the intense light.
Have been working in the yard this week. Cleaning up after the winter storms and getting ready for the gardening season.
Thanks for checking in. Chuck.

Hello. this is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering.
The resin production has started to kick in and the smell is getting stronger. Sort of a sour candy, funky cat pee with some cedar undertones thrown in. Should make for a interesting taste experience.
Everything is going good. The plants are eating well and growing great. The middle plant #3 is looking a little yellow and I'm trying to learn my new lights so I don't want to move it but I want to see how it will make out. If it gets a bit burnt then I'll shuffle the plants around more in the next grow. I do little things like this to see how things work, and learn from my mistakes.
I saw a article in the paper about stoned driving in Canada. Zoom in to read.
Being a garbage man earlier in my life I found some good things. This joke form is hanging in the downstairs bedroom and it's from WW2. The army/navy guys sure wanted to meet the right girl. And what better way than a form.
Good Luck. And have fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering.
Everything is going good this week. I can see that some of the buds are beginning to bob a bit in the fan wind. So I think I need to pull the plants out of the tent this week and see if I can tie up the buds so they don't fall over and just have a good look over.
The smell from this tent has changed a bit. It's added a electric/ozone quality to it but still smells like funky sweet cat pee with cedar undertones.
The resin production is really kicking in now. and we still have 4 weeks to go.
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of flowering.
I pulled all the plants out and tried to tie them up but I will need to do a better job in a week or so. I need to stick a stick in the soil or tomato cages. I have a week to think about it.
The plants sure were sticky when I tied them up. my fingers, hands and arms were sticky for a couple of hours after.
The smell is not quite as strong as it was last week. A nice sweet, candied, fruity, cat pee with cedar undertones.
I'm look forward to tasting this one.
Put up a fun game for you to play. Print it off and play. You can use buds, joints. bits of hash, or coins as playing pieces. Winner keeps all.
Thanks for looking in on me. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering.
This strain look great. The stems are strong and holding up the bud so far with still 3 weeks to go. This is the last week of food and I'll be flushing for the last 2 weeks.
I looked in when I was opening the tent earlier this week to see The White leaning against the side of the tent. I had to get in there and put a stick in and tie her up.
I see that middle plant is looking a bit yellow. I'll have to change the position of the plant again and put that one on the edge, and I think it's plant #2 turn in the middle
I found an old tea making page out of Gardens West gardening magazine about making your own teas. I had forgotten about chamomile to prevent damping off of seedlings. Just take boil 2 teabags in a pot of water, cool and use.
Have fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering.
Flushing started last night. Nothing but water till harvest.
Rumor has it, if we drink alkaline water we can help avoid a lot of major diseases of mankind. I saw on the internet- YouTube - how to make DIY alkaline, ionized water. I saw this machine that alkalizes water and thought I would try and make it. WOW!! every time I go by it now, I stop and am mesmerized at how much crap it takes out of clear water. I grab a flashlight and look into the tank and just go WOW. I read a little about it and its just electrolysis, passing DC electricity through water but it pulls all the atoms that have a negative charge to the negative poll and tank. And it pulls all the atoms that have a positive charge to the + side. One side is acidic and one side is alkaline. Add some salt so the water can conduct electricity better. I'm just amazed and the water tastes great.
Please download-print and play the game I included.
In our local underground paper these adds and articles were printed. I thought you might like them.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10. I was able to flush 2ice last week and I hope to flush 2ice this last week.
I noticed the pictures aren't quite as clear/light as last weeks. I turned down the lights to 70% last week and 60% this week. The buds are as big as I want them and the leaves were going yellow so I turned down the lights to relive some light and heat stress on the plants. With 1 week to go I think everything will be fine.
The plant are doing great. Nice big buds, stock strong enough to hold them up. There is some color change on some leaves on plant #2 to purple and the buds have a purplish tinge to all the plants.
The smell has calmed down some. Not quite the strong acidic fruity smell there was. Just a candy fruity smell now.
So good to go for harvest in about 8 days.
Good to go? Chuck.
Hello. This is the last pictures of the growing Sweet Zenzation. I'll be cutting them down after a couple of days of dark.
I'm pleased with the way this plant grew. Big dense buds and the stock was strong enough to hold up the big buds. The buds have a darker color sort of purplish to them.
The smell is pleasant, sweet and candyish. I wonder which fruit'z these Zkittlez tastes like?? : )
I'll cut some taster buds and let them dry while the buds are curing and be ready to make a smoke report when I come back with the harvest report.
See ya in a couple of weeks. Chuck.
Hello.
This is the harvest of Sweet Zenzation.
A very stable strain. All the plants grew and look very similar. The buds shapes were very similar and the THC strength was from about 17% up to 22%
Plant #1 had a full wet plant weight of 1048 g
Dry weight was 200 g
THC- best guess 17 to 18 %
Plant #2 had a full plant wet weight of 977 g
Dry weight was 186.5 g
THC - Best Guess 20 to 21%
Plant #3 Had a full plant wet weight of 649 g.
I somehow I didn't give enough water before the dark period. The fan leaves were all hanging down.
Dry weight was 197.5 g So it didn't mater when it came to the dry weight.
Best guess THC 21 to 22% - The strongest and I will regrow this one in the main grow room.
Plant #4 Had a full wet plant weight of 1030 g
Dry weight was 187.5 g
Best guess THC 18 to19%
The White - because I showed pictures of it- The finished dried weight was 169 g.
Overall I'm very impressed with this strain. It produced a lot of big heavy tasty buds and was very stable.
And I liked my new Spider Farmer Lights too.
Thank you Sweet Seeds.
Chuck.
