I'm back with a 20L DWC type grow with the famous Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse Seeds Co. No need to tell much about this strain as it comes out great at all times. I'm after a great yield from a big plant and with the help of hydroponics, I'm expecting to get there fast. We are in week one of veg. and I haven't included the germination week. Planted directly into a rock wool cube and started from seed. Let's see how fast and great things will go.
Happy growing 💪
Well no problems here and I'm still waiting for some more roots to show up. After getting a fine root system this plant will start growing like a rocket. I'll add some Trikologic S for protection on the following weeks. I got some H2O2 ready in case of root slime. I'm pumping a fairly good amount of oxygen into the DWC tank.
Cheers and happy growing 💪
Hi guys,
My plant is doing great and I'm still waiting for some more roots to shoot. This plant will blast in a couple of weeks but I'll be training her into a massive sized bush. No problems so far but I'll add General Hydroponics Trikologic S for root rot protection. Water temperature is great and I don't see any chance of getting root rot. Fingers crossed.
Check back for more weeks and see how I prefer training my plants. This guy is a tough one that rejects vertical growth and she keeps stacking nodes. We don't need this for now but we'll be needing that special power in early bloom. I might treat this lady with a special light to promote vertical growth. I just want to get the huge bush faster.
Btw. I'm using RO water on this grow. I forgot to mention that but it is important. My EC is full of nutrients, not with tap water minerals. That makes things way more efficient.
Happy growing 💪
Greetings to you dear fellow growers 😇
I've been away for a very long time but I kept track of my grow for you. This plant is a real stubborn one. She can't grow vertically and even after 7 weeks of vegetation in DWC, she was very short and small. The positive side is the root system developed in a very robust and healthy way.
Normally most people abandon such plants and I understand the reason behind this. Short plants yield weak and nobody wants that. I was very happy with the sidebranching and the root system but I had to use my secret weapon to get this plant taller in a very short time.
As some of you guys know, I'm a test grower for the LED grow light company LEDWisdom and they are generous enough to listen every growers need and offer an existing solution from their product line. When I told them about this situation they immediately sent me a special LED nursery grow light to solve the vertical growth problem on my Super Lemon Haze.
The grow light has two different spectrums on board. They told me if I use one of the light bands, my plant will grow like crazy. I wasn't sure at first but after two days, I saw the effect. Plant gained height in no time and now she looks like she is on steroids.
They will start advertising on growdiaries soon and make sure to follow my diaries to get the most recent updates about LEDWisdom grow lights.
Check out the photos for a 5 week vegetation period. There was no vertical growth and I didn't bother myself taking any pictures for at least 4 weeks. These photos are from 8th, 9th and 10th weeks of the vegetation period of the Super Silver Haze. This is such a comeback and this light is a true game changer in vegetation and nursery lighting.
Happy to share these with you folks. Wish you the best of luck in your garden. Stay green 💪
Hi fellow growers,
This plant is now in her flowering period but the diary is moving forward slow :) I'll keep posting weeks to stay up to date.
I installed the trellis net and bent these branches a little more to spread the plant and widen the canopy.
Still using around 10L of water. I don't like to fill the DWC bucket all the way and this is important for roots to breathe. Air compressor is pumping enough air into the water and added GHE Trikologic S. This contains beneficial microbes and bacteria that feed on dead or rotting roots. No root rot guaranteed 😎
Another thing to mention about DWC grows is that it is better to keep the water temperature below 20 degrees Celsius. Otherwise you invite problems to the root zone. You can place the air compressor or pump outside of the tent to pump cooler air into the bucket. Inside of grow tents always get hotter compared to the room it is in. Small but easy improvement here.
Plant picked up after special LED's and I'm happy with the growth. Flowering will be joyful so keep tuned folks.
Stay green 💪
Hi fellow growers, I'm back with the first week of 12/12 photoperiod.
Plant is in great shape since we recovered her with some special nursery LED lighting from LEDWisdom. This plant wasn't growing properly but these lights gave her a treat that I've never seen before and she became a pretty promising plant now. These lights can be used on stubborn plants that doesn't grow fast in the veg. period or even out the canopy for several different strains without any hassle. Pure magic here.
Some defoliation has been done as you guys can see. I'll keep cutting some fan leaves and weak lower parts(they sometimes keep popping even though they're plucked) as the bloom period goes on.
I'm feeding with veg. nutrients to promote more growth for this week. Until pistils start to show, I keep feeding my plants with veg. nutrients because if plant wants to grow more in the bloom period then you should keep feeding veg. nutrients to make my feeding program correlate with the plant's current biological activity. When she starts showing pistils, it is time to swap to the bloom nutrients.
Stay tuned for an amazing bloom period.
Good luck to all fellow growers out there 💪
Greetings fellow growers,
Transition week went great and plant has grow more before showing pistils.
On the 6th day of the transition week, plants started showing pistils and I swapped to the bloom nutrients. I added second light(LEDWisdom WB340-R) and I'll add Advanced Nutrients Big Bud for next week's feeding program. For now, everything looks super cool as you guys can see from the pictures. Plant now have an amazing and healthy root system. This will help her produce big colas and give us some eye candy.
Next week, I'll also start CO2 treatment and prepare a yeast bucket. I'll keep boosting CO2 until the end of the grow because it is getting hot already. I'll provide her with more than 900PPM of CO2 inside the tent.
This plant will blast in two weeks. Stay subbed to the thread to see how a Super Lemon Haze plant performs in a well set DWC style grow.
Keep it green 💪
Plant now has a very thick main stem. Flowers are bulking up very fast as we expect from a plant like this one. I'm pretty happy with the flowering pace and expectations are now high from this plant.
I added Big Bud coco version this week as the main bloom booster. I'll keep adding silica with the Regulator. PPM is increased since plant is drinking huge amounts of water. I'll reduce PPM levels back in a few weeks.
Root system is speaking for itself. Not much to say here. I'm pretty happy with the Terra Aquatica Trikologic S since there is no root rot at all. I hope we can keep the roots as healthy as this till the end of this grow.
Cheers 💪
Hi folks!!!!!
This week is a killer one. Plant is drinking water like crazy and ppm levels keep dropping. It is very hard to manage the pH with such consumption. I wish I had some automated pumps installed before starting this dwc...
Reservoir change is now three times a week. Fresh nutrients packs an amazing punch for the bud bulking process. These buds will explode next week. Write that down 😂
Stay green 💪
Hi fellow growers,
This week has been crazy. Plant is now bulking up the buds in a fast pace. This plant was looking hopeless in the early veg. but these lights changed the game. Now I have a monster and the upcoming weeks feel more promising.
Colas are pretty big and the density is amazing. Most of the growers would accept that this is already a good yield but we have three more weeks to get even better results. I can't imagine using this special veg. light with a fast growing strain. It is possible to shorten the veg. time for several weeks this way and get even bigger plants ready for flowering.
Stay tuned for next week's posts. I'm expecting more thricomes to burst and the colas to get even fatter. I don't think they can go denser 😅
Stay green 💪
Killer week folks.
Buds are now packed with a lot of trichomes and weight. I think these will turn out the heaviest buds possible from such grow space. Smell is amazing and potency is here for me. I wasn't happy with the trichome amounts in the past weeks but this will definitely be a top shelf smoke.
Expectation on the harvest is 400 grams dried and fine trimmed. I'm using 600W of top shelf LED grow lights from LEDWisdom. These fixtures have over 2.8 umols/J efficacy and have been performing amazing in the flowering.
I added Advanced Nutrients Nirvana to the feeding program this week and pretty happy with the results.
This was a garbage plant but like I explained in the earlier weeks I treated this light with a LEDWisdom prototype and such bushy plant turned into this beast. If I had access to this special grow light earlier I believe this plant would have easily covered the whole area with these huge colas.
Stay tuned for more. I'll chop down this plant in 7-10 days. I'll watch trichomes but the harvest is close.
Stay green 💪
Hi folks. This is the last week before harvest and the grow room smells like hell.
I think the plant speaks for herself. Buds are real thick and real dense. I'll post harvest data next week but if it wasn't for the sake of a neat diary, I wouldn't bother myself weighting those. I'm aiming for 400 grams dried and fine trimmed but we'll see.
Feeding is simple. Only using ripen for 10 days and flushing with the Florakleen, in our case changing the reservoir with Ripen and filling it with the Florakleen solution for the last two days of the plants life cycle.
Any questions are welcomed. Stay green 💪
@BigboyKolo,
Hi Bigboy,
These colas have the girth for real :) I appreciate your sight. Nice detection from poor photos from my crappy phone cam :)
Cheers
@FreeRangePessimist,
Hi fellow growers thank you for stopping by,
I'll definitely post an accurate dried weight data. Stay updated and follow the journal if you don't want to miss.
Cheers 😎
@SensimillaP,
Hi there Sensimilla thanks for chiming in.
This plant is literally a project. Make sure you stay till the harvest time mate. A very special grow here.
Peace 💪
