I held this one back as I couldnt be assed to make a diary basically! haha I have caught up to speed now and decided to make one for it after all. I am growing this plant expressly to press to rosin. I mentioned to fastbuds that I had a new rosin machine and he suggested growing this as I love indicas and the flavour profile sounds lovely. I need to top dress these as well as the afghans with some bone meal to stock up on nutrients and have time to break it down. Been very busy all day today and didnt manage it. It was a res change, tidy up the bottoms of the plants, unload the afghans and the smoothies, tidy them up. then return everything to normal. I must say im surprised at the quality of them considering I havnt actuyally fed them any thing other than dry ammendments so far. Im pretty impressed with how they are doing. Oh also I got my zamnesia seeds so will be going for some photos next time to do a comparison. I havnt grown photos in aaaaages so I thought it would be fun to try grow some monstors

OK, so with regards to the listed nutes - the fish blood/bone and bone meal was mixed intop the coco/soil before planting in order to get them through veg. It worked well actually. I also mixed in some ecothrive charge. I was actually looking at another product of theirs which I can mix with the soil and should last longer than what im using currently as dry ammendments but it can also be used as a top dress. The idea is to basically mix all the nutrition into the soil before planting and then just do weekly top dresses if it starts running low (which it most likely will because the autopot, pots are so small. I was thinking about making my own material pots so I can make them really tall but still fit in my autopot system....I dunno. It would be hard to get a pot in the shape I want (really tall but pretty narrowe) so they will actually fit into the autopot trays in order to soak up the water. The smoothie is coming along nicely. I didnt anticipate a big plant as I potted it up in a smaller one for some reason. No idea why to be honest. I think it freaked me out a little bit doing as many plants as I am so my floored logic said plant it in the first thing you can grab...I did...it was the wrong thing to put it in! especially as I have a shit load of bigger pots in my cupboard! Doh! Oh well, its all good - I have more smoothie seeds so if I like the rosin it produces I will be happy, even if it isn't loads, its all useful and the pucks get used for oil anyway so it would be ingested in some form or fashion! pretty psych'd I got my CBG seeds to grow in the Mars Hydro test setup.

Although iv not really been updating this diary the plant is doing great. I thought i had a few photos of it but it seems not. I’ll have to take a couple and upload them later. Starting to go nice and hairy now. Can definitely start to see the buds forming. Looking good

Ok so I know, I have slacked huuugely with this diary. It’s amazing how when I had three plants I was like ‘this hardly takes any time to look after, I could easily do double this’. So I double it and Jesus, it’s SOOO much more work! I mean it’s all gone good, it hasn’t been neglected or anything but the diary for the plant has! Clearly…. Oh well! Not the biggest harvest ever, in fact quite a small harvest, however, considering it was grown in a super small container it’s not bad. Also it has finished so quickly! I planted it at the same time as the Afghan kush plants and they are still a couple of weeks away yet! All three of these were a tiny bit less looked after than the OG Kush and the Blueberry. For quite a while I had them on a dripper system but when I came back to look at them they were really dry so I don’t think it was working properly, probably had a clogged tube or something. I have been hand watering/feeding for a week or so now and they generally look much better. There were a lot of leaves that were obviously being used as a nutrient store as they were frequently going yellow and falling off (and not from them being at the end of their lives) so I was obviously under watering and feeding quite a bit. Anyway I guess all that can go into the Afghan diary. I think iv said before but I grew this plant specifically to make rosin from. I told the guy at FastBuds I had just bought a rosin press and he sent me some smoothie seeds because he knows I like indica’s and thought it would be a good presser! On that note, Iv been pressing quite a bit of the blueberry flower into rosin. I was having issues with the rosin coming out too runny - like sap! Doesn’t matter in terms of taste but it’s stupidly hard to handle and pick up to put in my smoking device. I was looking at videos on YouTube of people making rosin and I saw that they were ‘curing’ their rosin after having pressed it. I was amazed to see that simply manipulating the heat it is stored at after pressing you can manipulate the consistency. I was a bit hesitant to press my last harvest into rosin due to this. It was just so annoying wasting loads of it because it was too runny to pick up. Iv worked out that if I stuff fresh pressed rosin into a silicone tub and either stick it in the oven for a couple of hours at 100F or put it between my rosin press plates to 100F. I did this last night and it worked SO WELL. I am so too and because the runny consistency was really putting me off making it because it was so hard to get off the parchment. Pressing rosin DEFINITELY is an art. It obviously has some science to it but there is an art form in there somewhere for sure. I’m really happy I have discovered this because I spent all this money on a rosin press and barely used it for months because I didn’t have lots of buds and obviously needed daily medicine out of It so it left me very little to play about with. I really feel like I am getting the hang of it now so it’s really amped me up. I’ll be so happy when I have pressed all this smoothie flower into rosin! Should last me at least a….day? Lol

Week 8. Harvest

This was just a SUPER EASY harvest to get along side the plants I was doing anyway! It’s a small harvest from a small plant! I don’t think I weighed it wet - I’ll check but I don’t remember doing so. She smells really great. Really musty and the occasional hint of coffee but I havnt vaped any of it yet. I grew this plant because santi from fast buds reccomended it coz I got a rosin press. So I squeezed in one in a small 2-3gal pot and just let her go. She was probably about half the size of the other plants but smells a mix of wonderful and acrid. I wrote that she was very disease resistant because I had lots of bugs in my soil for this grow. I think they were either root aphids or fungus gnats. Honestly, I’m too lazy to take a macro shot of them because I’m not even bothering to try and rid them from the media. I’m simply finishing the plants that are in there, whilst trying to quarantine the space. Or start at leat. I’m not putting anything in there until I can rip everything out and bleach everything. Obviously first things first, I will get rid of the media that’s got bugs (I stupidly supplemented the coco I had with some garden centre soil that had either pests or eggs of pests. Needless to say they ravished the soil but honestly I got my best harvest yet so it either didn’t effect the plants OR had I not had them I would have had an even more insane harvest lol. Either way it would def have been easier for the plants if the bugs weren’t there! So anyway, I do plant to turn this whole plant into rosin over the next few days. Hopefully it will just squirt out a good texture but if not I will do a warm cure on it with my heat mat. I’m lazy so I dunno how long it’ll take me to press it all. I find the worst thing is ridding myself of all the stems that are going to tear into my 90ug bag. I end up with loads of resin on my fingers and it feels like it defeats the purpose. It’s all good tho. Looking forward to trying this strains flavour profile EDIT: that’s so weird. I just weighed the harvest and I guessed absolutely bang on! An ounce and a half to the gram lol. Not a big harvest but some more top quality flower which will just turn into rosin when my bags come later. Oh thinking about it it would have been closer to an ounce and three quarters. Maybe just over because I pressed my last rosin bag which holds about 7g. Iv added a couple more photos of the small amount of rosin I pressed from it. I must admit I’m going a bit mad for rosin atm. It’s just such an easy way to get extracts lol

So over all this plant was good. I like the smell, it is a bit unusual. Honestly I’m not sure why they called it smoothie but again iv not smoked or vaped it yet. Maybe it’s a smooth smoke? I dunno I don’t smoke I vape but yeh. I can assure you I will like the rosin. I’ll post a pic when iv extracted and cured it all
