Hey all,
Newbie grower, this is my second time. Tips, advice, etc. are appreciated.
TLDR; Placed two ILGM GDP seeds in room temp water last Friday. Tails were visible Saturday evening, placed them in GH's Rapid Rooters this Sunday morning and have them in their DWC bucket in the tent.

First, I cleaned and sanitized all the gear from the last grow.
Second, I dialed in the environment of the tent.... different season, different environment. At least for my old townhouse.
This can be tricky. Data gathering was key.
For this I use a "Govee Bluetooth Digital Hygrometer Indoor Thermometer." The device communicates via bluetooth to an app on your phone, and retains rH/temperature data for months at a time. Right now they're 12.99 on Amazon.
I use a 4" inline fan that gets rid of hot air through the tent's top exhaust hole and a 6" oscillating fan. I position the oscillating fan so the plants get the air they like and the TS-2000's drivers also get some air flow to disperse the heat.
I put two ILGM Seeds in room temp RO water last Friday and put them in a warm place without light.
I've read it's best to wait until you see the tails come out to plant them in your medium... rockwool, peat, w/e. I've had success just putting them in rockwool as an unsoaked seed... trying a different way this time.
I filled my 3.5 gallons DWC reservoirs up with about two G's of RO water. 1ml/g of GH's Rapid Start, CaliMagic, and Armor Si were added, then the mixture was pH'ed to 6.0, +/- .2. Later on I'll move the plants to 5 gallon res's.
Fill it high, but not too high. The point is to have the bubbles from your air stone splashing at the side of the hydroton to encourage root growth into the res.
Too high and it'll drown the plant, too low and it'll dry out.
To encourage root growth into the res, I'll take a cup of water once or twice a day and pour it over the hydroton. Be mindfull, don't drown the plant.
Don't forget to run your airline through the netpot and attach the stone and get the dust off your hydroton.
To prepare the Rapid Rooters they were soaked for a few minutes then lightly squeezed in the pH'ed DWC water, a chopstick was used to prepare the hole, and a small slice taken off the bottom.
Carefully, a seed was dropped into the Rapid Rooter's hole tail side down, then very gently pushed down with the chopstick about 1/4".
Using the slice taken from earlier, a piece was broken off and gently put inside the Rapid Rooter's seedhole to protect the seed from light.
The plugs were placed in the netpots and hydroton was used to fill in the rest of the net pot.
A cup of water from their DWC res's was poured over the hydroton.
Buckets were placed in the tent and hooked up to the airpump.
I put their jackets on. This is just some insulation I sandwiched together with more insulation via staples. It's held together via velcro command strips.
Clear solo cups were lightly sprayed with water then placed over the plants to help retain humidity. These will be resprayed throughout the day until the seedlings emerge and grow a little.
Mars Hydro TS-2000 light is at 24" away at 25% load. I plan to increase to 50% load once they're comfortable having their solo cups off, it's a little too hot with the cups on at 50%.
Woohoo! And they're off....
They're growin'.
Roots hit the res on lefty. No roots visible yet for righty.
Still on 1:1:1 CalMag, Armor Si and Rapid Growth in RO water.
Took the clear solo cups off the seedlings in order to increase light load to 50%.
I stuck in a humidifier with the humidostat set to 80%, and the lids around the seedlings get sprayed with water every two hours or so.
Plants are steady.
Nice root growth for both into the res.
Light is at 24" with load at 100%
Humidifier is set to reach 80% rh and the net pots lids are sprayed throughought the day to keep humidity up. I keep spare RO water for humidifier fillups in the tent to increase humidity as well.
The baby cotyledon leaves are still there and seem fine. Once they start dying I'll do my first real feed with the GH line and will shoot for about 700 PPM.... I'm thinking Wednesday - Friday?
Will take PPM readings at the beginning and end of the day to hone in on uptake.

for help in dialing in nutes.
Should've bought some different hydroton before getting the plants set in their net pots and getting them growing. This brand was small and compacted together...not a lot of room for roots to wiggle through into their res. There were also tiny broken pieces that despite having the net pots shaken so they'd fall out, still had more pieces that fell into the resevoir later on, which slowly made little mud piles on the bottom of it. I bought some better hydroton and carefully emptied/refilled their net pot with the good stuff. I also cleaned the resevoir and put in a fresh batch of 1:1:1 CalMag, Armor Si, Rapid Start, and 2:1 Hydroguard with RO water.
Thankful. Happy Holidays all.
Plants looked a little yellow last Sunday evening, so I added another ml/g of CalMag and they loved it.
Monday afternoon I put together a full feed of the nutes seen above at 650 ppm.
Received a negligible amount of burn on one of the two plants.
PPM rose slightly through the week until Friday when it started to Fall.
Fresh batch of stronger nutes was made today and switched out.
Topped at the fifth node.
Plants have changed to a higher gear and are growing vigorously.
Did a complete nute change last Friday @ 730 strength ... they've eaten 100 ppm already.
With the next change or topup, I'll likely put them in a five gallon res.
This is my second grow, and first Indica grow ... man are these plants bushy. I've done a little HST to make sure the growing leaves on the main stems get ample light and will switch to a SCROG net when they're tall enough.
Thankful. Have a great week everybody.
Plants are steady and healthy.
Added new nutes at 800ppm this week and put them in their final 5 gallon homes.
Started scrogging a bit.
Will switch to flower this week when they get big enough, but not too big for my tent...
Defoliated sometime this week. Very bushy plants. Will do it again soon in anticipation for flowering...
Did you know pH meters can dry out and become inaccurate/completely broken? Probably, I didn't lol
Thankful, have a great week everybody.
Plants are happy and healthy.
Changed nutes and light cycle to flower last Wednesday.
Man are they bushy. These were trickier then my first grow of Blue Dream to scrog / defoliate, but I'm happy where they're at now.
Plants are happy and healthy.
Nute pH has been a breeze this grow.
Plants are drinking about .25 - .75 of a gallon a day.
I keep a black 5 gallon bucket with a lid in a dark cool place with premixed nutes to topup.
The plants are so short and bushy! I've had to defoliate often and do some LST with bread ties to the scrog net.
I also lollipopped them this week.
Thankful. Have a great week everyone.
Plants are happy and healthy.
Both are females.
On a schedule of complete nute changes once a week, and topping up with RO water.
One drinks significantly more silica then the other, which drops the pH. I top that one up with RO water + Armor Si.
Thankful, have a great week everyone.
Plants are happy and healthy.
Got complacent and the plants grew into a forest under the canopy... did heavy defoliation.
Stretching is hopefully complete as the they're getting pretty close to the light.
EC flux's between 1.0 - 1.5. When it drops below 1.0, I'll change the nutes. Has been about every four or five days lately, these plants are hungry.
If the EC >= 1, I'll topup with RO water. Lately I've been adding 2.5 ML's of ArmorSI silica every second or third day. They eat through it quick and it drops the pH of the solution.
The buds are starting to show and the smell is great. In late veg and a couple weeks into flower it was pure skunk. Starting yesterday it started giving off an amazing scent that smells like lemon to my wife and berries to me.
Hoping I didn't defoliate too much. The plants were so inter grown the buds underneath the canopy would've been a mess and at worse moldy.
Thankful, have a good week everybody.
Plants are healthy and happy.
Same schedule as last week regarding nute top ups.
They're bulking up a little and I see abundant white pistil afros.
Thankful, have a good week everyone.
Steady as she grows.
Same schedule as last week regarding nute top ups.
Little anxious for them to bulk up.
Right plant has more trichomes then the left, and has always ate more silica. We'll see.
Thankful, have a good week everyone.
Steady as she grows.
Buds are starting to swell a bit.
Seems like I have two different phenos. (?)
Lefty has less trichomes, eats/drinks less, but bud mass seems to be more.
The smell is great... berries with some skunk.
About three more weeks left. Starting next Tuesday/Wednesday I'll be adding some Ripen to the mix for the last two weeks of nutes.... last week for flush with GH's FloraKleen.
Thankful. Have a great week everyone.
Steady as she grows.
Introduced some GH Ripen.
Buds are fattening up... they're looking and smelling great.
Dehu. set outside the tent to keep the humidity down.
Thankful. Have a great week.
Peace & prosperity for all.
Final weeks of nutes.
I plan on running the last week with RO water and GH's FloraKleen.
Buds are swelling, they're looking and smelling great.
I definitely need to get better at training and defoliating... especially in such a small tent. I have an oscilating tower fan and the pole mounted fan in the tent, a dehu. outside, and rh/temp monitoring... mold shouldn't be an issue.
Main thing that comes to mind is what is the maximum amount of leaves I can take off while still retaining happy plants.... maybe I should just get a bigger tent, or grow just one next time.
Regardless I'm satisfied with this grow. I'm a noob, and I'm happy with the results.... yield should be nice.
Bushy plants, but what would you expect with an Indica.
Could've also been that I placed my light too close - still new at this.
The smells and colas look great.
Plants are drying in the tent...updating review when I have more to say.
Another grow down. Harvested at 9 1/2 weeks with 90/10 cloudy amber.
As stated in last weeks, I definitely need to get better at defoliation. I also veg'd for too long considering I had two plants in a 3'x3'
See 'lol' picture... lol. Everything about a foot down from the canopy looks like this - larfy....early.
Also with 'lol' - this main branch almost cleanly broke at the node a couple weeks into flower. I velcro'd back to the main stem and.... this is what happened lol
Eager to try what the top of the canopy brought. They look great.
May do this strain again for my next grow and do better... have also been eyeing ILGM's California Dream and Gorilla Glue.
Updating when I get the dry yield, smoke report, etc.
Lovely plants.
I'm a huge fan of GDP and ILGM has a great strain which I'm also growing.
May your ladies grow up and give you big beautiful berry buds😊
Nice harvest, kitty cat looks baked 😂 anyways hope all went well I'm curious how the smoke is, I've got a couple of these in flower running GH as well but they're in some dirt..
