Good tent, has lasted me a few grows, I like that you install your own ports where you want.

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. I enjoyed this plant a lot, its grew well and loved how it was shorter and fatter. I wonder if it was at the dame distance from the plant if It could have done even more. Had some issues with the yellowing that was happening on the other plant in this tent. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and it may have hurt the yields a bit. The top best looking buds looked and smelled amazing even the lower buds where doing well not so larfy like the other plant. There was crazy strong smells with this plant, sour berries and hints of lemon, it was a best smelling plant I have grown to date. This would be a great plant to grow for beginners, cant take a lot of stress and still produces quite well and even on lower wattage leds it was good. It was not the most crystally looking plant, not like the maltezerz but still had some finger hash buildup but a small amount. I feel this plant would be a winner for a rosin press. I don't plan on growing this strain out again despite me liking a lot of qualities about it. I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. Only some of the lower growth is larfy, will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. That's about all I can think of if you have any questions just ask. m0use Disclaimers: 1. I have divided the total watts of light in half, 300w(150w) for this diary. It will accurately reflect the g/w ratio as the two plants growing in this tent are listed in two separate diaries. 2. I include any shake/trim in my gross totals as I use them to make edibles. 3. I did not follow any proper ways of listing my nutrients. Some are ml/l of total solution watered, others ml/l of total medium and some are just the total amounts I added, not as a ratio. If you have any questions let me know! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cost + Time Analysis Of Growing Cannabis. m0use’s Breakdown +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Light Schedule === Veg [Dec 18th 2021 - Mar 11th 2022] 18h on 6h off - 6am-12pm Flower [Mar 12th 2022 - May 10th 2022] 12h on 12h off - 9am-9pm This is extra tricky this harvest as I went through 2 different hydro rates in three different periods, plus a veg and bloom switch between them. I converted the cents into dollar amounts beforehand to avoid dividing by 100. 8.2c/h = 0.082$/h 438h * 0.17c/kwh = $74.46kw * 0.15kw = $11.17 on peak 522h * 0.113c/kwh = $58.99kw *0.15kw = $8.85 mid peak 1,272h * 0.082c/kwh = $104.30kw *0.15kw = $15.65 off peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of $ dollars per peak period, add all the peak periods up and you get your total cost of running the lights in dollars. $11.17 + $8.85 + $15.65 = $35.67 for the grow light only. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 4.57oz or 129.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷ 129.6g = 2.60 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 129.6g = 0.28c/g It cost 28c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day. Neat! legend, kwh = kilowatt per hour kw = kilowatt w = watt h = hour c = cents $ = dollars d = day LED= Light Emitting Diode

When you are using SCROG, do you like to have the majority or all the spaces filled before you flip to flower? I plan on using some of the stretch growth to fill the rest of the canopy space. not a lot maybe 30% Ideas, thoughts?

Hello. Just want to say thanks on your effort on the questions page and congrats on your win. I thought most of your answers were good and I liked that you did some research before you answered some of the questions. It's tough when you try to help only to have some growers jump on you or try to trip you up . I think you did well. Chuck. Cannabis is a great hobby. I'm still learning. Give it a try and tell us how it went in your diary.

Thinking of planting this outside after harvest... 1) chop just the cola branches, leave all lower nodes/branches 2) reveg the plant to regrow leaves/branches from lower nodes 2.5) transplant outside once ready 3) harvest the plant a 2nd time. Any insight/advice?

Your plan on paper looks to be correct. Good luck, I'd like to see the progress on this. Just be sure to leave enough nodes so the plant doesn't think it's going to die or near death, and you should be good, imo.

Just a heads up, hope all the questions your answering is not same advice as your using. You will have a mob coming for you for messing up tons of plants. Came to you page thinking you knew what you were doing. Your plants are small, hurting, and I feel sorry for all the people you gave advice to. Pump the brakes, and get your own grows in order before helping others. I would be pretty pissed with following your advice, and killing my plants or getting small yields.

How often are you feeding/watering? You might want to lower the ph to 5,2-5,8 since they are in coco. It shouldn’t be needed when growing organically, but still.
Green_Dream
Green_Dreamcommented3 years ago
@m0use, Oh, ok, I was not aware there’s soil in the mix, since you only have coco, perlite and vermiculite in your table, and they’re not soil. With only those 3 you would have a hydroponic medium.
m0use
m0usecommented3 years ago
@Green_Dream, its not pure coco and not in a hydro setup. That low of PH would disrupt the setup. its more like a soil coco hybrid.

Your temps by thermometer are too low, I veg in 26-28 cel and they love it ! Cold - purple, but slows down uptake of calcium too, and all shit starts, they love hot summers while vegging !

@m0use, oh, you was measuring soil temp, ok, my bad ;))) soil is around 20-24, at least area around. Never measure soil, I had blue lab triple unite, but it broke after two days of playing, refunded, never bought other ;)))

Nicely detailed, but shouldn’t it be $1.67 per day (not $0.67) for 144 days is $240 ? So, about $50/month in electricity? Dimensional analysis (I.e. unit cancellation) got me through undergrad. The amazing related thing is the CO2 footprint for indoor weed. Summers, et al. (The GHG emissions of indoor cannabis production in the US) presents these values: Indoor: 2,283-5,184 kg CO2 per kg of dried flower (fucking hell that’s three orders of magnitude) Greenhouse: 326.6 kg CO2 per kg of dried flower Outdoor: 22.7 kg CO2 per kg of dried flower As another researcher puts it, growing indoor weed is totally indefensible from an environmental standpoint. It should all be grown outside. Of course, then the starlings might eat the seedlings. Cheers.

m0usecommented3 years ago
@Northern_Ent, Thanks for eagle eye! I'll have to correct it, I was so tired when I typed it all out and thought I ironed out all the details. Can you DM me how you got that number I'm not getting it and just got off work cant think right now. seems GD does not like money talk in comment and it changed some of them on your reply. hopefully dm's are different. its shows some numbers in the notification but nothing about "s_orgional" I don't want to think of the c02 impact. Granted I don't like to grow indoors in the summer months, rather do it all outside. calculating the total co2 impact on all materials used, tracking how long it travelled and its process, fertilizer, hydro, mediums. it would be nuts I'm sure. I have a feeling my math is way off on this. I really need a 2nd set of eyes on my calculations and to make a spread sheet that will do it all for me.

Hi @m0use happy to read your diary🤜🤛 I like a lot this technic, i want to try it a day🔥 As I understand it, you have to defoliate a lot and a lot of times remove all the leaves before the mailing hooks and the plant will be directed to push towards the top, where you need it Defoliation is essential in this technique. Happy growth bro!🍀
m0use
m0usecommented3 years ago
@AwfulBuddy, I have not defoliated this grow. I stripped some lower growth branches and remove side shoots. but let as many leaves as possible. Its a half assed version on mainlining to me. Normally mainlining has just 2 starting branches or one node. Mine have 4 or two nodes worth.

m0usecommented3 years ago
@Medical_Cannabis_Australia, The yellowing was mostly under control. What would your advice be to solve this? I ended up flushing the plants and it slowed it down a lot but not 100%. I use an ad blocker and the DNS servers I use block out some of the garbage as well with my anti-virus/internet security suite. Add blocking is 100% needed on the internet, it's a dirty whore of a place. Now its time for chop so they are drying and I'm just waiting to make the harvest entry. Thanks for the love.
