This will be an basic autoflower grow using Dinfem's Dinamed Kush CBD genetics. I will be using previous feeding, watering and lighting schedules as they all work for me and the plants. Nothing's changed in terms of nutrients all U•CANN by Gaia Green. One thing that will set this apart from previous grows is these are my last two seeds of this strain. I love it a lot and will be sad to see it go... however; I plan on trying to breed one of the plants with the other plant as Dinafem is no longer in operations and all the seed banks I know are now sold out. Hopefully I will be able to get 100+ seeds and that will last me for whatever amount of time I need to find a new CBD autoflower. Not sure if this will work or if genetics will be stable. Only time will tell and asking lots of questions. If there are other dairies about breeding autos on this site link them in the comments or DM me. Cheers. m0use

Question: If I use a silver solution on one of the autos from the same strain/breeder, will I run into any issues like wild genetic variance of CBD/THC ratios? Plan: Autoplant1 - silvered to produce pollen, Autoplant2 - receives pollen from autoplant1 = seeds harvested.

Depends what you are crossing it with. If inbreeding then I assume genetics will carry through but genetics do not always behave that way. If crossing with a different strain then you won't really know unless you grow out loads of mother and clones of those mothers to see if the genetic traits have followed down the line.... I hope this helps...good luck

Question: are there any differences in structured silver solutions like SilverSol "SS" vs regular silver like Colloidal Silver "CS" for feminization? Both are interchangeable for most purposes. It seems SS has more active ions, would that be a bonus? They said SS 10ppm = CS 50ppm

Seems basically the same thing...Although, its not... It is an isomer of the same compound...I don't see how it would be different to colloidal silver in the effect it has, try it and record the results...would be good to know

This weeks been ok, was away for most of it and had someone looking after the plants. The one appears to be under stress of over watering but the soil is all dry. So a bit confused with the leafs pointed downward, will see how this progresses in the next few weeks. The one plant that looks stressed is 1cm shorter as well. Added in a big pot of water and ultrasonic diffuser to boost in humidity. Can remove this when the plants get transplanted in their own pots, they will then maintain a solid 65%RH Also no idea the ratio of dry amendments in the mix I used when potting these seeds, guessed from my previous grow from my old notes. Nothing else to note.

This week was all right. Did a topping at the beginning of the week as well as a water based inoculant using miicrobial mass pro and transplanter MS-CS root rescue. added them into the watering reservoir and put in a air stone to keep it oxygenated. I let that run for 24 hrs before watering. The root balls where not as thick or dense as I would have liked, but they will grow into their new container well. Was short a bit on the medium so the root pouch's are a bit low. Not to concerned about amount of substrate but I don't normally transplant auto's will have to see how they fare. I had some left over Myke so I decided to use it on this, put a layer in the hole before transplanting it. I don't water everyday and just guess at the watering measurements I'm using. The bottom leaves where starting to show signs of deficiencies I think, maybe PH. Also added in some Acti-Sol tomato and veg chicken manure fertilizer 4-6-8 into the hole. It should help it out as the rest of the mediums nutrient composition was heavier on growth side of things and wanted to added in some more K and some P. web links to the products I used as they are not in the system here, https://www.rootrescue.com/files/TransplanterMS-CSExampleLabel.pdf https://miimhort.com/ https://www.usemyke.com/en-ca/products/natural-growth-enhancers/myke-flowers/ https://acti-sol.ca/en/engrais/tomatoes-and-vegetables-organic-fertilizer-4-6-8/

They are doing ok, I think they are entering flower a bit early. This might have been because of my transplant. I really should have started them in the larger forever container. This was a dumb mistake on me. I have did not feed them early enough and they started showing sign of issues but its been corrected now, not spreading to the new growth and PH has been locked in a bit more thanks to the the help of air stones. I was noticing adding in the air stone to my watering reservoir for increased oxygenation caused the waters PH to rise. The PH was going up and making it harder to go back down. I did a little test as well and made a chart that I attached to my diary. It seems adding in a air stone will spike the waters PH and keep it up. You will need a substantial amount more phosphoric acid to keep the levels down. I tested this on approx 700ml of water, my smaller reservoir holds 4L and larger one holds 12L. With the 4L reservoir I had to add 3x-4x times more acid to bring it back down towards 6.5 ideal PH. With this done, I am not noticing any new issues on the growth of the plants and they are looking pretty great. I will be using air stones now to help oxygenate the water and will adjust PH respectfully. The plants had some LST performed on them and I cut off some dead leaves from the bottom of Plant A and tucked in some yellow ones on Plant B. They are not fully dead yet so I'll keep them till its time to fully remove them. My plan of using Silver on them has taken a turn. Amazon keeps breaking the bottles in transit and I cant get any 40ppm solution to my house. I will be stuck using only the 10ppm SilverSol by Now Foods. I wanted to have the 40ppm as a control for my experiment. O well, If it all fails I think I saw one other plant that had Dinafems Dinamed CBD Kush for sale. Another interesting thing to note, Plant A when topped only grew out one branch from the node not two like Plant B. As plant A is more stunted I will be converting it to the Male and pollinating Plant B. Will do a U•CANN by Gaia Green nutrient top up in another 2weeks but next watering I will add in some extras. Using very small amounts of Ascorbic Acid to neutralize the chloramine in the city's tap water. Nothing else to really report.

I’ve used both…. And the logic behind air pot is sound you can have more root area in smaller pot, problem with that is you have to water twice as much I hand water so more then once a day(it’s mostly every other day)is way too much…the fabric pots work just as good and are way easier to clean.I go to the laundry mat and wash them all like a load of clothes.not to mention there way cheaper then air pots….

Started to do the silver treatment on the one branch of each plant. The strong silver I ordered off of amazon as a backup kept breaking in transit so I have just go ahead without it. I suspect the concentration of this one will take longer, I still have to order in a concentrated solution, Health Canada seems to not allow a lot of places to sell anything over 10ppm. I created a small wall and hood over the mini stem to prevent it from getting light damage from the spraying. Been spraying about 3 times a day and soaking the entire branch. I have a feeling the 10ppm will not be enough and this will all be for nothing but who knows. I'm tried of ordering it online and getting notified a week later its not coming. If this fails I will just never grow this strain again and move onto hunting for a proper high CBD low/no THC photoperiod. I have continued to LST the new growth and have been keeping it quite flat, Hopefully this will create a smaller dense field of mini colas on this plant. Been tucking some of the leaves under the branches to help light hit the flower sites, they tend to pop back up every day. Over all they have been good. Not needing a lot of water. the transplant has for sure shocked them as the amount of grown in one week has been small. Best Thing I can do is keep at it. Going to avoid the top up next week as the plant has tons of room to expand into the pot still and nutrients to eat up, with autos being less hungry this will suit it. When it does get it. I will be using the bloom nutrients and a bit of the grow to keep it happy. By that time I will hopefully get to see some male parts beginning to form.

This week has been slow, nothing much to report, feed a bit of Abundant Bloom and some pistils are browning up. Still no results from the silver spray I've been using, hopefully by next week I will see something. Been tucking leaves every now and then. Going to leave it all just to grow upwards now. Got in the MIIM ChitoSal sample in the mail yesterday so used it on them. Will see if it makes a difference. Small update, the amazon package of 40ppm silver arrived and it was shattered but had about one ice cube worth of solution frozen. no idea if its equally suspended in it or not. but I have saved the 2oz of liquid and will use it up then continue the 10ppm solution after. May place another order in a week and hope for the best.

This week was ok. Plants are not doing much of anything. Keep spraying silver still no sign of pollen sacks. Had some left over substrate so topped off the pots as they where low before. It was fortified for some transplants so will see how well the autos like it. Getting some nice peppery aroma coming off of them now.

Still nothing on the pollen front, a bit of weird growth on the flower but I think its just a damaged calyx Looks to be the end of this grow and seed from Dinafem. Plant a got some real bad burning, leaf is dying back green with an orange boarder separating the dead green leaf to the fresh living one. I think the EC might be to high in the soil after the top dress from the other transplants and this is the cause. Don't fully know, don't really care at this point. Only wanted them to collect seed from. Starting to think autos are a waist of time and photoperiods are the way to go. cloning and not a lot of other things to deal with. Well at lest for myself and this tent. I'm also discontinuing use of the ChitoSal after one week, saving it for the photoperiod plants in this run. Small update: I think I may have some nanners in development.

So some good news on this grow, both plants have started to make pollen sacks in there calyx ;) It funny to see as I was using 10ppm and only had 40ppm silver solution for a small period of time. maybe a week. Could be that autos don't need as strong as silver solution as photos, they tend not to like as bright of lights or as much feed vs their photoperiod counterparts. Might follow suit. I used a clear litre container on the yogourt lid splash guard I used when spraying silver earlier. It is working as a windbreaker and mini environment to help prevent the pollen from spreading. They also trap all the smells of the buds and when i pop them open they are so kushy and peppery, smells delicious. After I removed the old white plastic hoods it all just snapped into place, it works out really well. Quite excited about the pollination process and how well it will work. Bit nervous about how the plants took a shock a few weeks back to a feed and if there will be enough time left for proper seed formation. Only time will tell, going to try and keep them going and hope for the best!

Good update, got some hand pollination done and hopefully some seeds will pop out of these bitches in a few weeks. The video shows the pollen falling out of the nanners in the calyx I plucked off the plant. Use plant A's pollen to pollinate plant B, and used plant B's pollen to pollinate plant A. This is not 100% as the plants now have both their protective domes off of the one reversed branch. Cant say for cretin its not blowing aorund on its own and back crossing on the same plant. Any who this week was going to be a top up week on nutrients as well for this plant but given its heavy feeding and burning before I skipped out on that and will probably not need to do anything for the rest of its grow. It should be not focused on creating seeds and that should use up whats left in the medium. If its showing any signs I will use a basic liquid feed for house plants just to give it something or make a "tea" out of a scoop of Herb Thrive 5-4-5 and some acid. Other plants got a transplant and top up so that's why the water had all the beneficials this week and last.

Has not changed too much in this week. Been hand pollinating all the remaining pistils with the balls on on the opposite plants. Found a seed shell poking though on one of the plants so that's a big bonus. I know the pollen worked and its making some seeds. Plant a is starting to put on some real nice looking balls on its reversed branch as well. Its like it has taken full effect without the dome on it. I will collect some of that pollen and mix it with corn starch and pop it in the freezer for some auto experimenting in the future if I feel like it. Thinking of moving them into a cardboard box with some basic lighting to to help it finish making the seeds. Give my tent and other plants a good spray with water to neutralize any remaining pollen and flip the g13 twins into flower.

OK so this week has been good. Keep seeing more and more seed development on them, plant a seems to be making big fat meaty seeds and plant b is making smaller seeds. I ran one last pollination dusting on them [plant a to b & plant b to a] then chopped the silvered stems I reversed. Collected all the left over pollen in dehydrated cornstarch and tossed that in my fridge in a airtight tube and in a light tight bag. Will test this out on a plant in the summer to see if it is viable. Did not follow any direction to a key so high chance it will be bunk. but that's ok. I think this will be good. Took off the light wattage as this grow is not for yield but seeds so removing lights wattage will void any g/w ratio on these tiny plants. One thing I did notice between this and others who have reversed females to get pollen is that the sack never fully opened or got big like theirs, they stayed small and dried up quickly. This may have been because of the products/domes I used, or this strain. after removing the domes it got a bit better but not by a lot. O and I gave them a real week feeding just to give them something for seed production. Will be recycling this medium for my next grow.

Not a whole lot of anything happening this week, just waiting for them to finish up maturing the seed they have in development. Plant b seems to be still putting off more pistils but plant a is just focusing on seeds. It seems the seeds plant a are producing have the calyx covering them more so then the ones plant b is making.

Still nothing happening just waiting on them to finish up and watering only when the pot feel like they need it. Taking their sweet time under the 54w now. Gave them some leftover LAB serum from the other plants can't hurt it. Guessing two more weeks till plants die and seeds are ready, some are starting to mature more and get darker :D

Good news this week I think the plants are all done making seed and should be ready for a harvest next week. :D I am still going to keep them going till plants die but my "next weeks" entry will be consolidated into the harvest. So week 15 will be in two maybe three weeks time and contain the final result. With this last week I am going to include all the harvest photos and videos I have of this strain from a previous grow I did. I did not upload a diary for that one so it will get tagged along into this one. You will be able to see what it looks like outside of making seeds. I am quite happy with its results from growing it out as a CBD auto, it was a whole reason to push for this entire breeding project.

This was a fun little project with a few ups and downs. Overall it was a success. I managed to get 86 Seeds off of the two plants, this is a smaller number but given that I started the pollination about 2-3 weeks late I am impressed. Top this all off with the fact I was using 10ppm silver solution for the majority of the reversing process and only had 30ppm for about a single week near the end. Moving forward if I plan on reversing anymore plants I will be investing in some STS vs Silver solution. It's easier to use and has stronger results. I also managed to get 25g of bug from the plants as well that I will infuse into some butter. Not to worry these are not the branches that where sprayed with silver and they have been cut off and disposed of in the composter. When I decide to grow these out I'll try and create a new diary and test if the CBD/THC ratios remain intact, if the plants are viable. I have not tested the germination rate on these seeds and for all I know they are duds or will not resemble their back-crossed parents. This is my first seed making project and so much is new and unknown to me. Have had lots of help along the way from some good GD friends. Tried to post lots of photos and products I used. The photos labelled [PREVIOUS HARVEST] where when I first grew this wonderful strain out. It has the same peppery kush smell and crazy deep purples as it first did. I did shock these plants with a heavy feeding that stunted them greatly, I also transplanted them when I should have started them off in their forever pot. This was all explained in the weekly entries when it happened and why. overall the autos are not heavy yielding but more average for an auto and that's ok with me. Its the smells, taste colours and CBD contest that draw me to it. Somethings to note from the diary, most of the liquid nutrients are diving by how much water I gave them, typically 4L. Solid nutrients are divided per litre of medium in the pots or they are the total amounts I added. Just ask if you have Questions.
