This is a living soil project. This is a one plant grow (hobby) + vegetables. Tent is 120*120cm (4*4ft) and the earth box is 100*100cm (3*3ft). The goal is to have very good weed quality, but if quantity is also there, the better. The process will be to top dress with home made compost and very few additional organic materials. (bokashi fermented kitchen waste -> worm bin -> miracle compost). We'll reassess along the way. I bought a pack of seeds during black Friday sales :) Sensi Seeds usually has a pretty good germination rate. Let's see how it goes.

As you can see on the pictures, all seems to be ok except that the potting soil is maybe a bit too charged with nutrients: radish leaves are big and thin, the small NL plant is also a bit disturbed by this. This should get better with time. Tomorrow (Jan 08) I'll water the area around the NL5 with corn seed sprout tea. Goal being that with these growth hormones (SST) it'll be able to cope better with the super charged soil. The next step will be deciding which training technique to journey with: hst-mainlining (reg or quad) vs a more popular lst... @sensiseeds let me know if either is totally proscribed from your knowledge on how your genetics behave 😜. Patience wise, I can handle a slow growth, I want this to be fun and exciting. FYI, lights still at ~20% and 60 cm (2ft) from plant

Nematodes inoculated. Topped, I'll probably start quad-lining it soon. Clone started in soil (mulched with its own chopped leaves). The cover crops are invading this little garden. It doesn't show but it has already been trimmed last week. Radishes will be harvested in about 10 days, it'll make some more room for basil that I'm propagating for this tent. [Done] I'll be applying a seeds sprouts tea this week end or early next week (I haven't soaked the seeds yet 😅). [Done] Place training frame for LST on the quadline Side note: this young plant is slowly starting to smell like potential goodeness 😉

The plant has been topped and now has 8 mains "tips". The goal is to go for 16 and let some side branches grow or 32 with no side branches. We'll see. The little clone experiment has failed (see previous week) because a dumb human (me) pulled it out of the ground when trying to get rid of some clover... 😅 Experiment 2 started: try to clone tiny cuttings (3-7 cm / 1-3 in) from today's lollipopping session. 🙌 By the end of the week I'll be applying some sprouted seeds tea with BioEnhancer (by GreenHouse Feending).

Okay, yesterday I found my fan lying on a cola "to be"... worried AF but the plant now seems to have recovered. Fungus gnats are developing even though I applied nematodes not too long ago. That said, the nematodes came by mail and had been sitting in their envelope for almost 2 weeks before I opened the package and read that they had to be stored in a refrigerator... my bad for sure. I ordered a new pack of nematodes and applied them yesterday. Hopefully that will be enough to contain the gnats issue within a week or two. I also applied a sprouted seeds tea yesterday and saw how well the plant responded to it again. Definitely going to adopt this method. My "micro cuttings" cloning experiment is on its way, we'll see how many clones will make it. Maybe it'll end up being a quadline + SOG hybrid grow 😜

During a topping session, I accidently snapped a branch and so I can't properly mainline it. From now on it'll be a main-lining inspired freestyle training 😅😋 Next week, I'll feed it with SST, apply some EM and chop'n'drop some companion crops.

Some clones look ready enough (pics) and I don't want the big plant to stay in veg too long. So I've decided to plant the clones and see if they grow well. Anyway, I'll switch to 12-12 in 3 or 4 weeks. Applied some biobizz alg-a-mic and acti-vera (very light foliar spray). Applied nematodes again: other vendor, the previous applications didn't seem to be very efficient. PS: lights still roughly at same height and intensity (45%)

Nothing special this week, just vegging and waiting for the clones to catch up. No sst this week. Fungus gnats population seems to increase despite the nematodes...

The clones are lagging and this plant seems to be dying to be flipped to flowering. I'll edge it another week and flip it 😁😅 As you can see I installed a sticky paper as a complement to the nematodes. No sst this week either. I'll do one with mung beans during the first week of flowering.

Nothing fancy this week, just letting the plant veg for a last week before flipping to flowering. Fungus gnats are becoming annoying, I'll probably add yellow stickers next week.

I started sprouting mung beans to make a feeding solution but forgot about them. They grew too big so.... they were happily incorporated in a family diner (with carrots, tofu and chili) 😋 More seriously, I'll sprout some more this week end. The plant seems ok so far, no pest in sight expect for the gnats. I've added more yellow sticky papers and the population seems to have dropped significantly (double action: nematodes + stickers)

Fed the plant with Mung Beans SST and a little Bio Enhancer (Greenhouse Feeding). The ligh intensity is set to just below 70%. I noticed that one of the clones is still alive and will let it produce what it can (probably nothing incredible). I though I would have seen some preflowers by now.... still waiting for them.

I had a big LMAO moment earlier this week when I noticed that my light timer wasn't correctly set, it was giving 14/10 instead of 12/12. 😱😋 Two days after fixing this I was seeing a lot of pre flowers and also the stretch seems to be starting. The plant seems to be hungry. The soil mix was supposed to last 3 months and must be depleted. I've fed the plant with BioBizz products dosing to about an eyeballed third of what's recommended on their schedule. Mixed in 10 liters of water. I want to see how the plant reacts before giving her more. Lights still at 70% intensity. I'll lower it to 60% as what I diagnosed a nitrogen deficiency could really be the start of light burn. The lower part of the plant has dark green leaves but the ones on the top, closest to the light have these typical yellowing tips... Trial and error baby, trial and error.....

The plant seems to be doing better since I decreased the light intensity (60%), increased the plant-to-light distance and started giving it some more nutrients. I also took the time to lollipop it, not too harshly though. I'll probably defoliate it a bit more to expose a few extra bud sites, after the strech to prevent stunting it. Enjoy gardening!

Flowering is going good! Gave it 10l (2.5gal) of plain water on Tuesday and 10l of nutritive solution on Saturday (see "nutrients" section). Lights still at 60%. I need to measure its distance from the plant and update the journal with this info. My place is starting to smell weed more and more. I need to install my carbon filter really soon. I hope next week will be as easy as this one. Enjoy gardening! 😀👍

The plant is doing fine and is slowly but surely getting nice and frosty. I watered it twice with water only, 10 liters each time (2.5 Gals). Increased the lamp to plant distance to 52 cm (roughly 21 inches). Increased the lamp intensity back to 70%. Enjoy gardening ! 😊👍

This girl is just fattening up 😀 It still only received plain water this week (twice 10l / 2.5 gals). It looks like it has fully recovered from what I had identified as a possible nutrient toxicity or light burn. I've increased the light intensity to 75%. Carbon filter is now placed, it was about time..... 😇 Next week, I'll feed her with something organic (Bio Enhancer? Bio Bizz?) to be sure not to miss its potential (while keeping in mind that less is more). Enjoy gardening! 😉👍

The plant was thirsty way earlier than previously. Fed it with some Bio Bizz (same as 2 or 3 weeks ago) and a little BioEnhancer (2 scoops mixed in 10l of water). So 10l of nutrient solution plus an extra 5l of plain water. The plant looks nice but the leaves are showing signs of senescence so I've taken some close-up pictures of the trichomes. To my big surprise there are a lot of milky and amber trichomes. 😵 I wanted to let it go another 3-4 weeks but I might need to harvest sooner. I'll be asking the experienced people in the community about when they would chop it down. Enjoy gardening! 😃👍

Growing this cultivar in this setup was a joyful experience that I really look forward to trying it again. 😎😇 Growiaries was fun to use as a grow journal too. 👍 It has already been drying for 10 days but it's not ready yet. See you in about a for a week or two for a smoke report! 😉 (wet weight is fictive, I didn't weigh it back then.....)
