Second GDP grow, this time with Quantum Boards and 25L textile pot with coco and clay pebbles. I'm hoping to get at least the same yield but faster. With the Meizhi LED I got 0.94g/watt in DWC but it took 18 weeks. I'm hoping this time it will be done in 14-16 weeks.
I have my QB at 50% and at 90cm distance, If you have any advice about the best QB distance for seedlings, fire away.
Day 9 - is it just me or does she look a little bit different than the first GDP I grew? To me it looks a bit different, might be different feno. Also, she's a bit bigger than the first one was at the same age, might be because of the Quantum Boards.
Started some LST. I think I overwatered, the upper leaves are curly. I read somewhere that you can't overwater coco so I was watering 2 times a day. You can definitely overwater coco.
Started feeding full strength nutrients and did some LST and a bit of defoliation. Something is definitely not right, the previous GDP I grew in DWC was way bigger at this age and way bushier. I think the culprit might be the shitty brick coco coir. I feed the plant with 5.8 PH water and the runoff is always at 8.5-9.0 PH. Something is definitely not right.
She's starting to stretch and is now drinking 6l of nute water a day. Got to 32C in the grow room but she didn't seem to mind, looks great.
Also, one of the nug pics from my previous GDP grow was published on MSNL's Instagram, so I've got that going for me, which is nice :)
Day 64 - I think the stretch is done, she's starting to get frosty and starting to smell of flowers and grapes. I might have to harvest her in steps because some of the tops look 1-2 weeks behind.
Finally harvested. I won't post wet weight, maybe will post dry weight without trimming. I only trimmed the fan leaves as I will be making RSO with this harvest, so no trimming this time.
LE: 16.10.2018 - so I left it to dry for a week near the room heater and now it's dry as fuck (under 30% humidity), then I grinded the shit out of it and on Saturday I'll be making RSO and will update with the result in ml.
For now I weighd the grinded weed (without fan leafs but with shitty trim) and I got 751g.
LE: 23.10.2018 - got 108g of RSO which means 14.4%. I'm quite happy with the results. I'll try and vape the RSO and update with the taste.
LE: 28.10.2018 - vaped the RSO, it has almost no taste, gets me high, works great. So if you don't like the taste of weed, vaping RSO is the way to go.

Nothing beats the sun, and it's free. I can only dream one day I'll be able to grow outside, I'll fill my yard with weed so the whole street will smell dank.
@grower_not_shower, I have been curious to see what the QBs could do. I’ve thought about them for my future indoor grows. Right now though I am doing my first outdoor and hot damn my colas are fat a juicy. Gotta love that sun.

Yep. They could have been even fatter but I don't have enough lights for the grow area. Even so, I can see a huge difference compared to my first grow, with blurple LEDs. This time, with the QBs, the buds are way bigger and more dense. With the blurples most of the buds were airy.
LoL!! yeah i noticed how you exposed her undercarriage so beautifully. I have also seen alot of posts regarding topping autos. Generally you cant top them cause they flower earlier... but if they big enough early on , before flowering , its do able.
Search for Tonks´ grow of auto GDP from MSNL. She topped hers and it came out great. Just got to keep a close eye on the lady and time it right i sppose...?

I think topping would work very well for this particular strain, it takes forever to flower (18 weeks from seed to harvest) but to be honest I'm too lazy to top it and I think you can reach the same results with just some LST and defoliation. I will post today an update for week 6 and you'll see the plant got huge and covers almost the whole growspace without any topping or scrogging, just a shitload of LST.

Yeah, I followed Tonks diary. I've also seen other diaries where people top autos and get great results. To be honest, I think you can get the same results with some good LST. If you look at my previous grow, my main cola wasn't even the biggest on the plant. Because it was tied down, the secondary colas grew much bigger. Who knows, I might try some topping on my next grow.
@@Lucimago, Thanks. I don't really like the taste of the RSO but it works great for me. I hate smoking and can barely tolerate vaping so for me it's mostly edibles. After eating a shitload of calories from cannabuter, RSO is way easier to eat, acts faster and is way stronger.

Thanks. Holy shit dude, the buds are 10 times better this grow with the QBs compared to my previous grow with the blurple LEDs. Most of the buds are dense, rock hard and way frostier.

Yep, I'm getting worried I might run out of space when she starts the flowering stretch. She's already almost as wide as the growing space, she's gonna be huge.
