So these have been in a new tent that’s been in frankly pitiful conditions.. barely reaching 70 during the day.
This cold weather is tonight without supplemental heat
So I’m trying to work a hands off run with these cuz I’m just testing out the genetics basically. Doing soil for the first time in quite a while.
Using this Detroit nutrient company “water only” soil. Should buy me several weeks as I’m gonna flip these soon
Looking really healthy have you had any root issues using those bags? I'd like to utilize something convenient like that for a SOG. Seems easier to manage shape wise anyway.
@TragicTerps, roots look killer when done, I always look at them and I’ve used these several times thru harvest. I’ve also transplanted from these as well.
This is exactly how they come..
@Ezzjaybruh, awesome info, are you planning on doing a root picture after harvest? I'd be curious to see how they look after.
I like the GE ports at the bottom pretty slick, did you add them?
I know I could just DM you but figure if other people are curious they'll see too.
Good luck on the grow im going definitely follow this one I plan on trying do some cross breeding soon , I’m on the hunt for a good male now. The peanut butter breath make you used, is it from In House Genetics?
✌️🏾
I don’t have social media but I woulda definitely like to run some of your seeds and document it on here. kpiland55@gmail.com is my email
@FEGgrow55, thanks for the follow bro.. I can’t say much about the PBB male except it’s from high quality genetics, a guy that does large scale high quality grows for medical clients. I’ll try to find out breeder info if possible.
Hey friend, Good looking plants and VERY awesome sounding strain! Would it be alright with you if I offered some pointers? Just based off your notation of saying slow start I would advise this, Cannabis plants love heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it, I took a look back through your journal and your temps are definitely on the low side with lights on and lights off. 50% humidity at this stage is okay for sure, But with lights on we should be looking for 79-84 MAX and no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. Roots grow really slowly when the temps are cold in the room and it will stunt the plants. It is most noticeable when the root structures are small to begin with. We want to keep our temp gap between lights on and lights off tight in veg and early flower. No more than 9 degrees less with lights off, If we allow for too much fluctuation in temperature we will cause our plants to stretch a lot.
Once you begin to get into flower temperature plays a big role on how our buds will develop. Too cold and our buds will be extremely dense and caked but we sacrifice a lot of size. If too hot, Our buds will be big and airy and prone to fox tail with minimum cake. The best of both worlds seems to be around 77-80 degrees with lights on. As our plants progress through their life cycle and begin to finish their vertical growth by weeks 4 - 6 of flower we can then begin opening up our temperature gaps between lights on and off to beyond more than 10 degrees less with lights off. This will now cause our plants to put extra energy into the budding process and resin production. It is a good tactic to finish our plants off nicely. Also one last thing, Check out sungrip light pulleys. They are great for getting lights closer to plants.
Check out VPD, Vapor pressure deficit if you have not done so yet it is a good tool for all growers to utilize. Keep up the great work! If you got a minute check out my 200 light 7,000 plant diary I just completed and follow my profile! I am currently producing a youtube tutorial series for all levels of growers to use and learn from, If that interests you check out my youtube channel and sub. It is linked off my growdiaries profile. Happy growing!
@LegacyMarketFarm,
Thanks buddy
I’ll always take advise, especially from ppl who know what they’re talking about.
I am aware of a lot of what you mentioned. My response is two fold-
Firstly,
a lot of my temp numbers on diaries are just manufactured because I don’t often have the numbers by me when I’m writing the week up..
Secondly, a majority of my plants are in my basement in Michigan, and in the winter - it’s a struggle to keep temps up down there as it’s “unfinished”. One tent I did tie in a split from my ducting to warm it up, and that helped.. but I struggle to keep things at low 70s most the time. My last 4 months of grows reflect that. I am privy to VPD and try to do my best with different things but again - resources are limited as this is a personal set up.
This is something I’ve had to deal with and work around, and if nothing changes much - I plan to take off thanksgiving to around now (end of feb) to avoid these issues..
Obviously space heaters are an option which I sometimes utilize when absolutely necessary, but they really increase electric draw..
I certainly appreciate the time invested in your comment. I am currently in a certificate course online thru Utah State University called “The science and technology of medical cannabis cultivation “ taught by none other than Dr Bruce Bugbee.. it’s been extremely informative and helps separate a lot of the myths and “bro science” that is prevalent in this industry , from the science and facts.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ve seen your big diary it’s quite impressive.
Good luck with the grow dude!
I'm really curious about your upgrade from the Maxsisun pb2000 pro to the FC-e4800. I'm tired of growing shorties and just about ready to pull the trigger on that exact light for a 3x4 tent.
Was it a big upgrade? Big difference? Thanks dude! 🙏 👊 😤
Good luck brother, im gonna smoke one and check out your other projects now! I like your detailed explaining of what you did and why you did it.
I would love to see you make a diary for your breeding project😙 Im probably gonna start my next run in 2months. Then i will contact you if you down to share some seeds. This could be very interesting for you aswell i think =)
Thank you again for helping me out in my first days of growing i wont forget that brother.
Keep up the great work i like your flow! 🙌
@Japangarden, thanks man. I’ve been slacking a bit in diaries describing stuff . I have a breeding diary going now hidden for the time being. If it goes well I’ll release it
Looks like some good future smoke. Keep up the amazing progress. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!! If you have a moment please stop by my YOU DECIDE diary and place a vote
