Unfortunately, first germination using peat pellet was unsuccessful, I made probably something wrong, seed has opened but hasn't grown and doesn't came over ground. So I made a second try with another seed with 18H watering in glass, then 48H on paper towel and it works!

Grow Questions

Does anybody know if those small white spots are ok? I have water 7 pH and I add some citric acid to lower it to 6 pH, when I sprinkle the soil I lightly sprinkle the leaves as well and I'm not sure if it's the effect of dry citric acid or something else. Thanks.

Correct, roots need complete darkness to grow, clear plastic is an absolute no-no! Plus, the shape of the bottle is going to be a nightmare when it comes time to transplanting, the hour glass shape will effectively prevent the soil plug with the roots from sliding out and I suggest that when you come to transplanting time, to carefully cut the bottle off and pray that the soil doesn't crumble into a million pieces. The "white spots" are nothing, just fairly typical patternation of cannabis leaves and are of no concern. At this stage I would be giving just plain tap water without any additions or attempts to change pH, young seedlings are very fragile and I personally believe that the less you mess with them at this early age, the better. Since you are using soil, a pH range of anywhere between6.2 and 7.2 will be absolutely fine, cannabis is not some sort of delicate fern that needs everything exact, it is a tough, hardy and adaptable plant that will cope with a lot of adversity and still be able to thrive. However, you should be trying to keep the leaves dry when watering, cannabis is not a rain forest plant and does not need artificially high humidity to survive. Also, any water droplets can/may act like magnifying glasses and cause burnt patches on the leaves, especially under intense artificial lights. Black plastic pots about 4 inches across and 5 inches deep are ideal for growing seedlings and provide enough room for about 3 weeks of growth and if you are using good soil, enough nutrition that they will not need any extra feeding for those 3 weeks. And the best thing about decent black plastic pots, is that with washing between grows and a bit of care, they will last many years, reducing waste to garbage dumps and when they do finally give up, are totally recyclable, making them a good choice for environmental reasons too! Hope this helps, Organoman.

Looks like stems becoming a little bit red.. I've checked other diaries with this strain and didn't found anything like that. Before transplantation I have completely flushed my soil about 2 times because I found a lot of springtails in. Hope I didn't got rid of all nutrients..

If your using BioBizz nutrients I would suggest referencing the feeding schedule. its located below: https://www.biobizz.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Nutrient-Schedule-EN-2020.pdf growing in soil and perlite is a good option, its hard to say what nutrients that soil has in it already without a brand name attached to it. It would be a safe bet to give it a bit of feed. please remember that autos do not feed as heavy as photoperiod plants and this will need to be adjusted a bit. a weblink to a good reference will be posted below to find the optimal EC/PPM for feeding autos and their life stages. Here's a snip-it for your stage. clones / seeds - week 1 - 140ppm / 0.2 ec week 2 - 210ppm / 0.3 ec With that said. Its best to grow autos in their forever pot and avoid transplanting them at all cost, they can be tricky and get a little weird about it. Sometimes entering flower early or being very stunted in growth. As long as your super careful and don't hurt the root ball you should be fine. Just avoid it in the future. I have grown Fast Eddy by RQS before. It was my first ever outdoor grow and before I knew of Growdiaries. They are a good plant and can take some abuse I found. they also have a very fragrant skunk smell when they really get into there flowing period. Your initial instinct of giving them some feed is correct. If you do not have a PPM/EC pen, use 1/4 the strength recommended by BioBizz and try and pick one up on your day to day in the next week or two.
