Soaked seeds for 8 hours in 82°f distilled water with a drop of GH Rapid Start and a very tiny pinch of gibberellic acid. After the 8 hour soak I put the seeds in a folded up paper towel and soaked the paper towel with the water that was in the cup I soaked the seeds in originally. 6 hours later the seeds were popped and you could see the tip of the tiny tap root sticking out. I immediately transferred them to the Root Riot plugs and put them in a domed propagator so they could root. I poured some distilled water in an empty water bottle, added some GH Rapid Start, drop of GH CaliMagic, a drop of GH Micro, a drop of GH Bloom, and some Great White mycorrhizae. Then I PH'd the water to 5.8 and shook it up really well. Then I poured it into the bottom of the propagator tray and filled it up until the water touched the bottom of the Root Riot plugs. Then I put the dome on and left the plugs to root.
I got a new propagation light and they ended up burning the plants a little. Stupid mistake. I hung the light at the same height as my old one but the output is a lot more intense. Lesson learned. They're under a 80 watt full spectrum LED at 24" hanging height now at 300 PPFD and bouncing back well. I'm using GH Rapid Start and Remo VeloKelp as my starter nutes. The VeloKelp was from a free sample kit I got from Remo. It's working very well for propagation/seedling stage.
Plants recovered well from getting burned by my new propagation lights. Should be smooth sailing from here. Trying some new nutrients. The Remo VeloKelp is amazing for propagation. The seedlings love it. Transplanting to the 5 gallon pots went smoothly. I used Plagron coco this time. I didn't disturb the roots at all and used plenty of mycorrhizae inoculant when I transplanted. I watered them well with plenty of VeloKelp and Zeus Juice for the auxins and cytokinins to help reduce shock and stimulate root growth. I placed them in my 4x4 tent under my720w 8 bar LED. Plants are receiving about 550 PPFD currently.
They're shaping up nicely. Shouldn't be too much longer before I flip to 12/12. I'm having to defoliate almost every other day. Flattening the canopy out like I did made so many branches and bud sites. I had to remove some of the smaller and weaker branches due to the overcrowding.
Both plants absolutely took off once I started foliar feeding regularly. I did some major defoliation and some pruning underneath the canopy. There were a bunch of small branches not getting any light so I removed them all to get more airflow under the canopy. I'll let the plants recover and then I'll flip them to 12/12.
Just flipped to 12/12. Started the Bloom Foliar treatment. I add 2ml of Photosynthesis Plus, 5ml of Europonics Nitrozime, 5ml of Europonics Fossil Fuel, and 1 gram of the Bloom Foliar. I pH it to 6.2 and spray the plants down right when the lights turn off every other day. I only add the Bloom Foliar every other time I spray the plants. They absolutely love it. I did a light defoliation as well. I plan to do another one around week 3 or 4. Things are looking great so far
Week went smoothly. Plants are still stretching, they look the same as last week so no picture updates. The Colin OG is starting to turn dark purple. I'm pretty sure the amino treatment is helping with that. The lower nighttime temps definitely help too. The two Hang 10 plants are looking like they might be very different phenos, we'll see.
The buds are continuing to swell. The scents are getting a lot stronger now. The Hang 10 plants look like two very different phenos, one is very sativa dominant and the other looks more indica dominant. Both have a very fruity smell to them. The Colin OG is starting to smell like blueberry candy with a light fuel scent. The POTG has a strong hashy scent with hints of berry.
The buds are filling in faster than I've ever seen before. The root development on these plants has been phenomenal. The $0.50 fabric Walmart shopping bags work great for pots. They breathe really well. I'll definitely be using them again in the future.
Packing on more weight. Terpene production has shot through the roof since I started adding the amino supplement from Kalix. Colors got more vibrant also.
Everything is going smoothly. The scents are changing and getting stronger. The Hang 10 plants are still packing on a lot of weight. The POTG started its fade early but it's looking really good. Colin OG is the star of this show though. The most purple plant I've ever seen. The buds are so sticky and resinous. It's going to be a good harvest.
This strain is phenomenal. Truly one of the best strains out today. These plants grow into bushes chalk full of bud sites. Yield dilution is low and quality is through the roof. Excellent returns when making extracts also. 10 out of 10
A great all around smoke. A little on the heavy side but still leaves you able to function. STRONG blueberry scent and taste. The buds are super sticky. Some of the most resinous buds I've grown. The plant really responded to the amino acids. I highly recommend this strain
Colin OG was super hardy and basically grew itself. It responded really well to the amino acids and terpene boosters. I'll definitely be growing this strain again.
Looking awesome man! Planet of the grapes is one of my all time favorite growers and smokers. I’ve got a few diaries of it if you wanna check em out. One from seed one from clone basically. Good luck in flower
