Started seed in a glass of water for 18 hours. Next to a paper towel for around 36 hours and had a heck of a tap root going. Moved to a folded fabric pot down to roughly 1/4 of a gallon with fox farm happy frog soil. Water only a few days and at day 7 received 1ml in a gallon of GH rapid start. I'm nearly done with the first week of vegetation so the diary will be updated again soon. This has gone well so far no issues just a couple funny leaves at first which means nothing to me as iv had this before and ended up having very successful grows so the first week doesn't concern me as long as it continues to grow. Lighting must be correct she stopped at the proper height and there is some airflow. The first week had 60+% humidity but I'm unable to continue running this tent at that level so it's down to around 40% now as another strain is in flower. I'm also harvesting now and will be rotating things around. Very excited as grease monkey is a fabulous strain I hope I get the pheno I want. *I have since started another seed since a kush mints fast I had turned auto flower I will have space to run another. The plan was 1 plant per tent to see what can happen but I have a slightly larger than 2x2 that I may put the two into together. Stay tuned

Great week healthy plant. Trying to fill in the root zone really good before transplanting to a 5 gallon. *Fed this for the first time a few days ago with a light mix of general hydroponics nutrients. This has grown properly and at a good pace. Looking to keep it un trained until I cut the top half off and create a wide bouquet of flowers. That is the plan at least. Continuing to learn new techniques and what works best for me and my time/space. Seedling number 2 is now up and running will update it next week. Stay tuned

Transplanted into a 5 gallon fabric pot on 1/18/22 it went fair. Iv done better but the roots were attached to the fabric pot I used to start them in so much that I had to rip them off. However, less than 1 day later and the plant appears un harmed. I watered a ring around the root ball as to give the roots a place to go but only left the soil at the "out of bag state" as far as moisture. So, hopefully this goes as well as the last plant i did like this. It seems to not only help the roots immediately take to there new home it allows the plant to continue absorbing energy from the light and growing. I feel as if it takes away from the settling that it needs for others after a transplant. Either way this has gone well and hoping to go a bit longer before topping to a manifold style grow. These will get fed in the next week. Stay tuned

Well, I finally had it in me to try something that has made me very curious. As of 1/25 (1hr B4 lights out) I cut several nodes of grown topping this down to the 3rd node and removing all beneath. Officially mainlined for the first time ever. I think it went very well and im looking forward to how it recovers. I plant to top each side 3x total making a total of 7 toppings including this one last night. I want 8 colas! ** Took my first clone cuttings ever. 2 are smaller than they need to be and 1 is the main top and is a very good candidate. Hoping it makes it to rooting. The two smaller I just threw in for the heck of it. Added my blurple to the center of the tent for up to one week maybe. I have a Mars Hydro 600 to use in place of the blurple once I feel it's safe to change to a stronger amount of direct white light. No idea if that's a good call or not but this is what iv decided to try first. I woke up this a.m. to a standing/praying clone !?! Hoping that's a good sign. I used clones rooting gel and installed this into a DIY aeroponic cloner 3.5 gal bucket. So far this is a fairly nice setup. ***Plans to root this clone and stick it straight into a Dwc bucket to grow! I have a seedling I could put in my Dwc but I'd rather have a clone. Although I have no idea what the plant will grow like yet. It is purely a learning experience. Haven't been feeding nutes since it's been transplanted but I will be this weekend begin to light Feed. Very excited for this grow. Stay tuned!

This week was impressive since the cut. The plant responded immediately to the training. No down time. This thing loved ! Solid mainline underway and if I am reading this plant correctly, I'll have 12 main colas in the future. 3 pairs on each branch. So 6 colas per side! I finally fed this was some nutrients the other day. Will remain feeding only once per week with water in between. **Clone update, today 2/2/22 we got roots on both of the small branches cut. The larger main top that is technically youngest looks like it's beginning to kick out roots so hoping I'll have a confirmation in 1-2 days that all 3 have rooted. Super happy. I'm taking 1 clone and putting it in a Dwc hydro pot in the future. The rest I'm not sure yet. They may need given away. I did also learn that my water was getting warm from the pump. I got a continuous timer and am doing a cycle of 1 min on and 2 mins off with the water pump in the clone bucket. This is keeping temps well within reason. The water had a slimy feel to it so I made this change and replaced the reservoir with fresh water and nutrients. GH rapid start only at 6 ml mixed to 3 gallons. I used approximately 2 gallons in the clone bucket. Rough guess so far. I'll confirm next refill. Very very happy with this so far absolutely happy plant and happy clones! Stay tuned

What an amazing week. This plant is absolutely doing amazing and the conditions couldn't be more favorable at this stage. Mid 70s steady in the day at 67-72% humidity all from the plant and pot! No humidifier and the room around the tent is 38-42% humidity! I leave the fan/filter off as long as possible in veg to help make the tent muggy but I'm always moving air with fans. 2-8-22 LST & Defoliation done. This is really shaping out nicely. I will be very detailed with this plant as I learn this new process of mainlining. I'll stretch some if the branches further to fit my new 90 degree lst clips. Once those are set probably by this weekend, I will analyze growth rate, current height and make the call on when to flip the light schedule. Absolutely thrilled. *Clones- what can I say. Wow the one clone hit the hydro pot recently and the other iv already have the roots a hair cut and once my kush mints tent is cut off and hung I'll probably put the other clone in soil. I have more hydro equipment but it's really hard to aerate this much water and have in standby. Really excited and glad I cloned this because the plant is very healthy, happy grower I just hope the final product of this is a premium pheno!!! 🙏 Stay tuned

*mother plant- This plant is un believable! Absolutely amazing health and growth. It's forming exactly as I had planned. I'm very close to the shape I want. Maybe another week maximum before flip. I'm considering this Sunday flipping but we will c where this is. Conditions are insane, 70-73 % humidity, rises to 80 for a bit at night and temps steady 70s and at night mid 60s. The plant is responding to everything I am doing so well. I appreciate this grow more than any other right now as I have really did alot to this plant and she respected every decision I made and worked with me. Mainlining is Bad ASS! Just takes some extra veg time... **Dwc clones- wow this is going so fast. It was topped and it never slowed down. It's doing so well since transplant. So happy. ***Soil clones- this clone is now starting to take to the soil. The condition of the leaves may tell you otherwise but the leaves feel nice again, they have consumed moisture and this has become sturdy in the dirt so it's going to start growing here anytime now. It's unfortunate I had to cut the humidity off to this tent it's in but high temps where making the Dwc pots around it get to warm so I needed to turn on the inline fan which eliminates any humidifier I use. It's a 6 inch system in a 4x2 so good luck holding any humidity with the fan on. (Room around the tent is very low humidity 38-43 on average this winter) I had a humidifier 59% average with no inline on but again the heat was 81 under the lights which made Dwc pots alil to warm. *Stay tuned!

Wow, this is the best plant I have ever grown or I should say this is the most fun I have had growing a plant. This mother plant is insane! I love the mainline process! Very exciting to watch un fold. *Light schedule flipped on mother plant to 12/12 on 2/20/22 Let the pre flower stretch begin! There are bud sites everywhere!!!! I have a worm casting tea brewing right now to hit this with. I may also add some GH organic grow to the brew. Hopefully she responds very well. I have never tried the tea but I can't find a reason why it would appreciate it to kick her into gear for the stretch. Lots of LST and Defoliation has occurred and will continue to happen over time. I'll give her several days before I clip again. **Clone in Dwc is flying like a rocket and it's doing so amazing. Been topped a few times and is really growing fast. I will be flipping lights soon. **Clone in soil is really coming around I hope to see some really nice progress soon. It will soon get a new home for a while. ***New grease monkey seed. Hoping to make this a new mother. It struggled early but I can't believe it came back around and looks very nice. It's been topped once now. I will transplant in about a week hopefully. Then it will get its own tent to grow in. Stay tuned!

This past week has been fantastic. This mother is the best plant I have ever grown in soil. It's fully into the flowering stage and stretching nicely at the moment. Hard to say but I could call day 1 of flower on 2/28? Ill confirm what I wrote down. *I fed this recently with worm casting tea and 7.5ml of bio grow. It seemed to appreciate this. *Next feed will be a mixture of Grow/Bloom nutrients. Probably closer to 50/50. Run off ppm is still above 7 for some reason. Wondering if the pile of hydroton rocks at the bottom has some effect on that still. But the plant is very healthy so keeping positive. I water at 6.4-6.6 average. Some defoliation has already occurred and more to come before I strip her on week 3. **Clones, Dwc clone is insane! 4 weeks from transplant and I had to flip it the other day on 3/2 I think. Wow it's impressive. *Soil clone is finally coming around I need updated photos. *New grease monkey seed soon to be transplanted. Doing very well. Will be the new mother plant/pheno to try. Stay tuned!

Absolutely incredible week again... ***Mother plant is superb and is really stretching her legs. I will be switching to full bloom this week but will keep 1/4 strength grow in the mix for one more feed. I have a red g8 flower booster to try out starting this week but I'm trying to figure out how to use it in my 2x2 along side my current led. Space issue but I'll figure it out. ***Dwc clones- this thing is kicking major ass. I found out I just recently flipped the lights to 12/12 because the switch was not on timer mode when I had originally thought I flipped the light cycle. Now it is developing flowers so day 1 we will say is 3/13/22 day 1 flower for the clone. Fed a 50/50 mix of grow and bloom with additional bloom supplement started earlier than I normally would by 1 week. Per the bottles and feed schedule I should be using them at first signs of flower. So, I am doing that this time. ***Clone in soil- this thing finally kicked into gear. it's going very well. I had it in its own tent for a few days and that really helped it. ***Grease monkey new from seed- Transplanted recently and took right away! Very happy with that. It's got its own 2x2 tent and will be getting spread out for the next few weeks before I possibly take clones and flip this. I'll decide later. First time using a mix of happy frog and ocean forest with hydroton rocks filling the bottom plus added a cup of worm castings. Finals notes for the week. Stay the course as these are all extremely happy right now. Really really great growing plant folks! Stay tuned

I really am totally satisfied with this week for ALL of the grease monkeys! ***Mother plant- nutrients now a high ratio of bloom to small veg plus all the supplements. She is doing wonderful. ***Dwc clones- introduced FAR-RED light and we will see how it goes. For a week I ran 12/12 ass a supplement but last night I changed it to 15 mins on before light on and then 15 more while lights come on, then off all day until the last 30 mins of light the FAR-RED comes back on. G8 LED UFO...plant is doing absolutely incredible. Just over a week into flower now. *** Soil clone is now doing great and is off the the races. Just spread it out last night finally. I hope to take some clips from this in the future. ***New from seed pheno #2 grease mom#2 just got spread out and is doing great now. Very pleased, she is on her way to a nice spread! May top it a few more times or steal clones and flip it early and turn a clone into the mom. Who knows !?! Really excited for these. Stay tuned

What a great week. *Mom#1- over 30 days into flower these are putting on mass now. Looking and starting to smell absolutely amazing. *Dwc clones- this girl had some more stretching that mom. She is doing so wonderful. This pheno is amazing and I wish I had space to keep it going for a while. Kicking serious but those a few weeks in now. The far red light I still cannot determine if it is doing anything for this just yet. *Soil clone- very happy this girl came around she moved alil slower than the hydro clone but she got herself looking healthy and happy. She has been flipped less than a week ago. *Mom#2- this is a really happy spread out girl now. I'm going to keep her as long as I can and hopefully pull clones once I have space. She is just going to just hang in there for a while 👍stay tuned!

Great week. Mom#1 is doing well but I do have some burnt tips on the leaves below the top node. May have been from over watering. She is really moving forward. UV reptisun 10.0 bulb installed right now on 5 hours a day until next week I'll run it 12.5 hours with the light schedule. She smells so dank!

This week went very well. Mom#1- so so frosty and so so dank like skunk! Under two weeks to go if the trichomes are approved by then. This thing is finishing up really nice. Got some good color and I expect the buds to fill well in the final stages as she is still consuming more water than I expected by now. No more nutrients from here. I'm allowing the pot to dry down pretty good right now before I try to for flush some excess salt buildup that could be there. The UV light IMO is doing what I expected. The trichomes are covering these buds and small leaves. However, I have never grown this B4 to be able to judge. I do have clones to compare. Maybe I'll keep one receiving the UV. We will see. ++Dwc clone - wow hydro plants for the win on growth/health/fullness. Just overall the leader of all. This clone is BIGGER than momma with several weeks less of growth time in veg. Very dramatic difference. Overall bud structure is considerably larger. I also have put this plant under far red timers. I run 15 mins in the a.m. and 30 mins at the last 20ish mins if light so that 10 mins or so if the final light is far red only. I'm not sure if this is helping. Again, I have nothing to compare in identical conditions. But it's working and I can't change now. It's so healthy overall that I can't touch a thing. ++Clone in soil- it's doing very well. Much much smaller than the clone in dwc and momma. She took longer to adjust to the transplant from aeroponic cloner to soil vs her clone sister who stayed in a hydroponic setting and literally grew within 1 day if transplant. But this girl is doing just fine she is just smaller and further from light for now. I will be raising this. Ppfd is still at or above 700 at the canopy. ++Mom#2 doing good she could look a touch better. But she is fairly happy and drinking water like crazy right now in early stretch. She isnt going to stretch much like her seed sister and clones it doesn't appear but we will see things change quickly sometimes. She is a very full plant that filled the 2x2 so I am very happy with that. She is ready to rock into her flower stage. Not sure when to call day 1. Could be today 4/15? I'll come back to that! Stay tuned

This has been a week or good and bad for grease monkey. Unfortunately, 1 day before my recent trip of 3+ days I noticed some issues with my Dwc pots. It appears as if I'm beginning to has some root rot/fungus issues in the pot. Not in my grease monkey specifically but I even found mini larvae on an ugly spot of roots that's typically above the water level. See below Dwc clone info. Mom#1 absolutely incredible, mouth watering plant. It has so many gigantic trichomes I can't even begin to imagine the quantity of terpenes and THC. This pheno is obviously a decent one. Very rich in smell and coverage. Just oozing with goodness. Allowing less than 1 week to finish or as little as 3- 4 days before 48 hours of darkness. She is sending up nice right now. *Dwc clones- came home to what looks like an almost dead plant. All the fan leaves have fallen over. All are still soft to touch but look dry. My roots don't look terrible but they are slightly darker and recent rise in temps had the pots likely above 75 or at 75 degrees. I removed the fluids, added 2.5ml of 3% pharmacy grade hydrogen peroxide to plain water. After 24 hours I believe I have less damage or no new damage but no recovery to existing fan leaves which I expected no return. This is far enough along that the fan leaves for the most part are less needed for proper maturity but there is no question I will suffer a loss in every field. Hope for a bounce back soon. *Clone in soil- some nutrients deficiencies do you soil that is just running off every watering excessively. Iv hit it with the same nutrients but without skipping a feeding for water only and this seemed to stop the issues arising so that is great news. Looking good here. *Mom#2 doing very very well. No issues. Full tent. Very happy Stay tuned

This week is full of ups and down. *DWC Clone is officially a goner. She didn't make it and isn't exactly finished enough. Maybe for some heady hash but other than that. Sad day but I learned something. Root rot/Bacteria won this time but I'll be ready. I fought this with two other strains at the same exact time and was able to save them from much damage at all fortunately. **Mom #1- what can I say. She is well done! Wow look at her finish. I'm past the 56-63 day mark and getting closer to 70 days now so I'm pulling the plug in her tonight. 5/4/22 she is ripe and ready. The UV light really did the job. The only thing I missed was eliminating the light schedule/intensity more towards the end but I really wanted high ppfd though her finish so I left her go and continued to lower the light. PPFD rose up just over 1100 at the center and 8-900 at the edges with UV in play for 3 full weeks at least. first week was to introduce the 2nd two weeks I left the UV light on the entire light cycle with no additional timer. It ran 12.5 hours most of the time. I cannot believe the size of the trichomes and the quantity. The buds actually look extremely done and good. She is mainly milky. Lots of continued new clear trichomes but plenty of Amber to say my ratio is probably around 20% right now. Can't see any reason to continue. Humidity will be higher ahead so it will be good timing for dry. *Soil Clone is doing really well the buds got fatter than I expected. She has some health issues that seem to have slowed or nearly stopped. PH of run off has been very good so this was likely a deficiency as ppm did get really low on my run off at one point recently. Barely have current photos. I may add some this evening to catch it up. I need the info. **Mom#2 well she is doing absolutely amazing. This plant has been so happy and healthy lately and I am very thankful. Iv allowed her to let me know when it's time for a drink. I need to clean her up when I get a chance. Stay tuned

Well, this week was great! Mom#1 chopped 5/6/22 and hanging in fairly good conditions. This a.m. 5/11 was 58 degrees at 59% humidity. This plant is so DANK it's amazing. It looks exotic as it probably can be per the strain. I am very very happy with this finish and it looks like a nice yeild! *Mom#2 doing wonderful! She is more gethy than I could expect any girl at this stage. I really think I got a nice mix of soil on this one. Healthy nutrients and very good dry down before re watering. This has kept her very happy. *Soil Clone from mom#1 doing good. Somehow still really fattening these buds up and laying on the resin. Even considering the issues that I haven't fully understood but mostly think its from canopy heat, low airflow above that plant and low humidity for a period of time VPD issues. That seem to have slowed some. Iv been able to raise the humidity some but this week is very dry so it's been hard in this tent. Stay tuned !

Grease Monkey is in the jars. No weight yet but soon. Nice large sized buds from the top. They stank up the place. Fairly frosty but not out of the world. Trichome heads are very large though. Mom#2 absolutely amazing girl. She is doing just fine. Packing it on more than mom #1 def a different pheno in store. Clone in soil- less than 3 weeks to go. She is a spitting image of mom. Should be, it's a clone! A touch less healthy from VPD issue but she hasn't been harmed otherwise because the buds are really fattening up more than I expected for her smaller size. But she is doing Great! Stay tuned

Great week except some heat/light stress to the soil clone that's just about done. It fox tailed some but I backed the light off immediately for now. Had a couple 85-90 degree days that were tough to keep temps down. Looking like a great finish though. Stay tuned

Soil Clone is hung and drying TONS of Amber trichomes ! Mom#2 She is heading in the right direction. Awesome pine tree shaped buds. Nice color and smell is amazing. I hope this pheno is even better of the grease monkey! Looks like a nice yeild. Even lower buds are looking better daily with just under 2 weeks to go most likely. We will see how she does. It's really turning more now that iv put it under the UV light bar. In another tent to finish now. She is very very happy Stay tuned

mom #2Great week however almost every brach has fallen into the tent walls. It's so heavy! It put on more weight than I ever expected. Smells so strong and looks amazing. Xmas tree shaped buds. Nice color. A few more days for her. She is about at 10 weeks in flower. Soil Clone*- very good yeild for a short life wow. The mom only had 2 ounces useable and this clone already has over 1 and I'm not done so I'm happy with that! Stay tuned!

Skunky, creamy and very earthly. Gets you NAILED in the couch if you smoke to much at night. Very decent smoke just not amazing. The taste can always be better. Stinks up an entire room just opening the jar though!

@dirtythen22,same here I have only ever smoked it before and very few times. I agree too she made me very relaxed, good to use in the evening! Very excited for this . She is mature now and should really fly through the next few weeks of veg before flip!

@dirtythen22,in 2020 I was introduced to grease monkey. I can't recall having it prior to that time but it immediately became one of my favorites. Appreciate it. I just made a big move last night that I haven't tried before. Stay tuned for the update. 😀👍

@XII_XII_EarlyRaver,thanks brother. These grease monkey girls have all been great even the clones and early neglect of a few. Very easy growing. Doesn't mind lower temps. iv had some swings and everyone of them had cared less. Appreciate it 👍👍

@exclusiveX420, ok that makes sense to me , I was wondering would be he best time to judge the first week for the seedlings , I been having good luck with the seeds poping up really earlie so I’ve started them at day 4 /week uno a coulple times . I’ll judge mine your way now ! Best plants plants I’ve seen so far in earlie stages !! I will definitely be able to learn from you- thanks fellow grower💎

@CroNiCGman,not sure which week u ate replying on but the germination week is from birth up till day 7 above ground. I call it day 1 once it's about an inch tall and shell has fallen off. Week 1 of veg is week 2 of it's life so that's day 7-14( my week 1 post has 2 photos from day 16, was 2 days late posting but still the photos were current.

Haha I just noticed the gnome is flipping the bird, I wonder how many clone you will make out of her

exclusiveX420commented3 years ago
@CroNiCGman,😅 I made 3 clones from this a month ago. Kept 2. One is pictured in the Dwc pot. Dwc clone caught right up nearly. Another clone I put in soil a week later is finally growing some now it took a while. I'm not sure the best way to transplant a clone into soil from an aeroponics cloner. ps I can't wait to find more cool gnomes but the price on them went crazy high
