My first Mephisto run, got a new tent, light, and humidifier from me for Xmas. I started 2 seeds in paper towel in a cd case wrapped in a tshirt in the basement. 1 popped 2 days later, the other split still hasn’t really popped so I stuck it in a plug in a solo cup. I got pissed one night after it didn’t pop when I was drinking, so I started the single Dutch Passion®️Banana Blaze seed I had, it popped and went into a rapid rooter in the new tent 1/5/22.
Mephisto Genetics®️Double grape 🍇 (which I’m calling Henrietta) went to her forever 3 gallon fabric pot with the bottom 1/3 FFOF, and the top 2/3 FFHF with a 2 liter greenhouse dome on 1/06/22. Welcome to this world lil lady!
Turns out I started her off in the infected soil, I didn’t see any of those little bastards, but I covered the soil with DE, barley watered, then watered her good with BTI infused water and put a fresh layer of sterilized FFOF on top. Hoping this works, cause man I’d be pissed 😡 if they fuck her up.
Well everything was going great until 1/18/22 when I was watering and saw fucking fungus gnats hoping around. She’s been looking a little funky but now she looks all deformed and shit. We’ll see if she can pull through, otherwise I’ll just start 3 plants next monthI carefully dug out all the infected FFHF soil, replaced it with fresh, bug free Biobizz®️ light-mix, and topped the soil with pumice stones and a little DE. Die u bastards!
The struggle continues, the og home of the gnat infestation was the FFHF soil she was potted in. So I took her out to the garage and dug her out of that shit box and ultimately transferred her to a 2 liter bottle to see if she can be saved. And trimmed her dying lil first leaves.
I’m trying to save this lil ugly duckling, mover her out of her 2 liter home into a new 3 gallon fabric square pot by AC Infinity®️and topped the soil with some perlite to keep fucking fungus gnats away. Only seen 2 little bastards the last week, but I want this shit done!
The ugly duckling looks like she’s about to glow up! She got put into some proper digs since the gnat bullshit. Hit her with recharge, then plain water, light veg feeding, then plain water. She’s way behind the banana 🍌 blaze, but might give me a lil bag out of the deal. Looking healthy now!
I can’t believe I almost trashed this lil lady! She has really came into her own the last week. I take a bunch of pics from the cam in the tent throughout the day, girl grow like 2 inches today, stretching like crazy. Been cutting undergrowth every couple days, and those 2 top colas start praying 30 minutes later. Same schedule for watering except I skipped an extra day this week, she’ll get a recharge next, then plain water, 75% Veg/25% Flower nutes, then plain again. The Dr. Earth flowering fertilizer smells like straight fish shit!
Again just the star of the tent, getting so frosty. So easy, any nutrients she just rolls with it, recharge once a week, water every 3 days, orange pistils, and slight sugar leaf colors starting to come in.
She has been an absolute pleasure to grow, and photograph! So easy, so beautiful, even the usual larfy lower nugs look amazing. I have certainly learned a lesson in genetics with this lady. I will be running Mephisto or Night Owl seeds from this moment on…

Just the easiest plant I ever grew, water, nutes, water, recharge, repeat. My first all organic grow, no PH’ing, no water till run off, no flushing. So much better, never going back!
She went into the dark today 3/16 Day 75 from sprout, stunted, mutated, transplanted 4 times, worst fungus gnat infestation I ever saw, and here she is, an inspiration to all you stunted mutants out there 😝
