How cold do you have to keep your temperatures in the dark so you will get more purple in your buds ?
Solved

Not quite as simple as that, there are a number of factors that will determine how "purple" a strain will go, if it will even go purple at all. I wouldn't particularly recommend dropping temps until the ripening stage as anything below 67 will start to slow growth and you don't want that until growth has mostly stopped, manganese can no longer uptake via root system below 64 also, this is detrimental during flowering. Once your buds hit the ripening stage, give them 3 days of 0IR (Infra-red), or what I do is 3 days of pure blue. This sends the plant into a terpene overdrive as the plant can sense winter coming and puts all its reserves into making shit smell dank to attract any possible last-ditch pollination, myrcene which is responsible for orange-like smells of cannabis starts to degrade at 67. This is when you wanna slam the colder temps at night. After the 3 days of blue/0IR, you should do the 72 hours of complete darkness keeping temps around 60F, and ALSO rip the humidity down as low as you can 25-30%RH, one last stress, 3 days of darkness signal to the plant confuse it to hell and it will store ALLLLL remaining starches/sugars into the root zone for a hibernating winter. This will help with smoothness greatly. Water fully during this period, greater water content allows for a longer dry, longer=slower=smoother. Personally cure in a refrigerator and find it keeps taste and smells like no other. Good luck brother

you want to lower the temps in the day and dark cycle. 70f day 65f dark. then you want to keep lowering the dark temp lower everyday by 2f. when you get to 55f leave it. you will get the purps and not hinder the flower. 🚀
