DAY 8 Satisfied with my results so far. The BluMat system isn’t being utilized yet but the soil moisture meters are. Hand irritating every 3 days and bottom feeding once a week to keep the medium between 50-150Mbar. Utilizing the Apogee MQ 500 for PAR readings and currently keeping the ladies around 250 PAR for the 20/4. SF4000 is dimmed to about 70%. Two other Auto Jack Herer are finishing up in the same tent. DAY 14 Girls really looking healthy and growth is picking up. (B) & (D) have side branches coming out while (A) & (C) are a little behind. (A) Has some tip burn or possibly getting too much light in the corner.

These are by far the strongest and healthiest autos I’ve ever grown by day 21. Running the drivers ~40% & PAR is ~330-390 across the tops. Started using the BluMat system for daily watering needs. Hand watering inoculates , Cal/Mag, beneficial bacteria, & molasses once a week. Foliar feeding FOOP Mist every three days once the light goes off. Thought about bending but instead just started some leaf tucking. (A), (B), & (D) are growing fast and also the first to show preflowers. All four loving the environment and living soil so far.

01/27 - Day 24 Looking good coming into week 4! Only (C) is a little behind but definitely healthy. First time using this ChitoSal & Drops of Balance, hopefully I see good results in flower. 01/29 - Day 26 Noticed some beneficial mycelium coming out to the party (pic #10 & #11). 01/30 Day 27 Great growth finishing up week 4. (A), (B), & (D) have added between 8-11” of height along with filling out. The runt (C) even added 4” and is trying to push her side branches out.

02/02 - Day 30 Like clock work, wk 5 is here and flowers are growing everywhere. Growth is still going strong with (A) leading the pack along with (B) & (D) not far behind. Noticed a little tip burn but doesn’t seem to be spreading. 02/05 - Day 33 The girls are still showing explosive growth and putting out more pistils. A little concerned about (B) bright green leaves and (D) having some spots on an upper leaf. Maybe some light stress? Raised the light as high as possible, definitely going to LST for an even canopy next time.

02/08 - Day 36 Girls are definitely pushing out budding sites all around. (A) & (D) are still stretching a great deal while (B) & (C) have seemed to slow down. Still feeding microbes and started using the Girl Flower Power as a tea. 02/11 - Day 39 Not too much to say. More and more pistils are pushing out and I have my light as high as it can go. Moved the two taller girls to the sides. 02/14 - Day 42 Went on vacation for the weekend and thankfully the stretch has stop because I’m out of head room! All the ladies seem to be doing well, although I'm not sure if my older bigger fan leaves should already be yellowing. Hopefully it’s just the progression of the strain and just cannibalizing the older leaves.

02/17 - Day 45 Started losing some of the older big fan leaves on (D), started about a week ago with the yellowing. I thought it was N def but random bronze spots started appearing on the leaves along with red/purple stems, and the affected leaves started curling over on themselves (pics 11 & 12). The other ladies are showing some of the same symptoms but not as severe so I’m guessing it’s a Cal/Mag def. As of 02/15 I started using the Cal/Mag in the reservoir for the drip system and I did a root drench of Cal/Mag on 02/15 & today. I know it won’t reverse the damage but hopefully I won’t see anymore leaves dying. Flower development still looks strong for early flowering, hope production doesn’t slow down too much. I’m guessing I depleted all of my Cal or Mag during the mad stretch, along with growing in coco. 02/20 - Day 48 Looks like the extra Cal/Mag and Epsom Salt has slowed down the Mag def, still losing some of the leaves that were already affected. Bud formation looks strong with pistils white and tall.

02/23 - Day 51 Seems like the extra teas of Cal/Mag, Girl Flower Power, and Epsom Salt has stopped the curling and dying of leaves. Just trying to hold on to the ones I have left! Buds seem to be progressing well, (D) seems to be behind but she lost a lot of leaves. (B) (C) are getting some dense little buds. All of the girls are starting to show some purple hues on the leaves. 02/26 - Day 54 Things are progressing and I’m happy with the results so far. Really seeing the buds get tighter and starting to look like little clumps of pebbles. (B) & (C) have some sweet/citrus aromas coming out. Pistils are starting to change colors.

03/01 - Day 57 All the girls have their pistils changing colors, buds growing by the day, (B) has has very sweet aromas coming out, & (C) is more earthy and peppery. Still losing some fan leaves here and there on (A) & (D) from the Cal/Mag & Phosphorus defiance but nothing like 2 weeks ago. 03/05 - Day 61 Enjoying the process and maintaining the environment. Buds on (B), (C), & (D) are starting to get heavy. Maybe some foxtails starting on (C)??

03/12 - Day 68 Girls are putting out some really nice aromas! I’m assuming this is the last push for this strain, buds are really tight and super hard when squeezed on (B) & (C) All around the trichomes are still pretty clear and no amber yet.

03/16 -Day 72 Not seeing much change in size but I do see more cloudy trichomes, a few Amber here and there. Not looking for the couch lock effect. Guessing another week??? 03/19 - Day 75 Definitely learned a LOT with this living soil trial run and really enjoyed this cultivar. Majority of the trichomes are cloudy/milky, that I can see, and the only new growth are foxtails on the top colas. Slow drying with tent temperatures between 60-65F & humidity 55-62%

Looking for some guidance on when to chop the girls. Not into the couch lock and wanting more of a head/cerebral high. Should I push another week or chop now while they are mostly cloudy.

looks like she's popped new pistils lately. You are going to have to make a judgement call as far as waiting for new growth to ripen and the ripeness of old growth already nearly done. i don't see many if any clear trichomes.. they are all cloudy. which is cool. Usually there's a spectrum. 1) trichomes 2) pistils 3) density of nugs i bet if you took a sample and pried it apart, the trichomes buried underneath are amber. so, while it's probably the most scientific indicator, it's not always the absolute best indicator because we are only looking at the surface. cloudy is the beginnign of degradation.. amber is well into it. some strains don't turn amber during normal harvest window. So, take stock of your entire plant... there's new growth, it may be worth waiting longer. You can always do a staggered harvest if needed too. some stress can cause growth of new pistils. this will increase yield as they ripen. if only happening on top colas, safe to assume it is either light or heat stress. no proble if no serious damage and can be beneficial if it beefs up the colas. though... if it were the trichomes at top would show some amber probably. it's all a balancing act. .. and we are working with incoplete info... you have the plant in the room with you, so you have a bit more, yet still incomplete. don't fret too much... remember a few days more out of 90-100+ is small potatoes. so, i definitely recommend patience... remember what you did this time, try soemthign different next time and figure out what you like better... it's the only way.

Overall I enjoyed this grow and learned a lot about living soil. Going for a slow dry, trim, then at least a one month cure. Hopefully another six days and I’ll update with a dry yield. My next batch is already cooking but with 5 gallon pots. 03/25 - Day 7 Drying B & C are done drying and have been in jars for a day now with RH ~60%. Total 3oz from B & C. Total 1.5oz from A & D
