Grow# 32- Purple Punch Auto

Welcome back everybody! As we start the new year I decided that I would focus more on perfecting specific strains this year to get the best quality and yield that I can before moving on to any new strains. At the end of last year I got the chance to run some of the new FastBuds Premium strains which were very impressive, so impressive that I decided to give several of them another go, but this time they'll be in bigger pots and with less plants in the grow space, I'll also be testing out a new light this grow, the VIPARSPECTRA P1000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light. For Grow # 31 I decided to go for the knockout with Purple Punch. I grew this strain at the end of last year and it did not disappoint, I just wish I had got a bigger yield which is why she's getting another go. This is a giant autoflower that reaches 150cm and produces massive yields of up to 600gr/m2, a modern Cali strain that offers what a top-quality Indica-dominant hybrid should; nugs capped in resin with the density you would expect from Indica-dominant strains and that bag appeal that will surprise even the most experienced growers. Expect beautiful purple and magenta hues that come along with a sweet almost pastry-like taste and, thanks to the 24% THC, a very pleasant and potent effect that surprisingly starts as a motivating high and in no time relaxes you completely, taking a bit of the energetic edge off. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 This evening made 18 hours that the seed had been soaking, and after a slight tap with a spoon it sunk to the bottom of the glass. I'll come back tomorrow to see if it cracked open or if it's showing a tap root. ‎Thursday, ‎December ‎30, ‎2021 Its been over 24 hours of soaking for the seed so I went and checked on them this morning and the Purple Punch Auto looks like it wants to crack open so we'll see what happens overnight, I also need to raise the temp just a tad bit in the area where it's being stored to germinate. ‎Saturday, ‎January ‎1, ‎2022 Early this morning I went ahead and put the seed into a paper towel and container since it had been 48 hours. The seed has cracked open and is showing a tap root also. ‎Sunday, ‎January ‎2, ‎2022 Seed was placed in soil today, the tap root was 1/2 inch . ‎Monday, ‎January ‎3, ‎2022 This afternoon while misting the ladies (ph was 6.26) I noticed that the Purple Punch Auto is peeking through and could be completely above the soil either later today or tomorrow. ‎Tuesday, ‎January ‎4, ‎2022 Purple Punch Auto has break through the soil, it does still have some of the shell attached. ‎Wednesday, ‎January ‎5, ‎2022 (Day 1) I've been misting the top soil making sure it stays moist. Today was also Day 1 for the Purple Punch Auto ‎Friday, ‎January ‎7, ‎2022 (Day 3) For the Purple Punch Auto , we are on Day 3 and so far so good. ‎Saturday, ‎January ‎8, ‎2022 (Day 4) Everything is still going well for Purple Punch Auto which is now on Day 4, normally on by this time I'd water the seedling but I'm trying something new which just requires me to mist the top soil keeping it moist for the first 10 days. ‎Monday, ‎January ‎10, ‎2022 (Day 6) The Purple Punch Auto is still doing well along the environment staying very stable. ‎Tuesday, ‎January ‎11, ‎2022 (Day 7) The Purple Punch Auto is doing great as it reaches the end of it's first week. I gave it a nice mist with water that had a ph of 6.32.

‎Friday, ‎January ‎14, ‎2022 (Day 10) Hasn't been much to report over the last few days, just been misting about twice a day or whenever the topsoil is dry. ‎Sunday, ‎January ‎16, ‎2022 (Day 12) Today the plant was given it's first watering. I gave 250 ml of water that had ph of 6.32. The plant is also working on new nodes. ‎Tuesday, ‎January ‎18, ‎2022 (Day 14) Been very busy over the last few days so I haven't been very attentive as I would like, but from the looks of everything the plant is doing great though. I did notice a little yellowing on the top so I backed the lights off to about 36" inches. Also I went ahead and gave her a nice misting too which should hold her over until tomorrow, when I'll have time to water her. I also decided to clean the tent to keep everything nice and clean. This week I decided to go ahead and give this lady a feeding, at first it seemed as if she was fine but after a few days she did start showing signs that it may have been just a liitle to early probaly should waited another week, but nothing to worry about I'll just give her straight water for the next few waterings. Other than that everything seems to be right on schedule.

Not only is she flowering, but she's now 28" inches tall now and seems to be a heavy feeder, I'm definitely going to have to up the amount of nutrients she gets next week. This week has been a rough one, I've been trying to get the plant back to health after being so inattentive a few weeks ago, but the fan leaves are not getting better at all, she is however still growing normal and has some crazy trichome product already. Hopefully, I can figure it out before it gets worse. I am however loving the beautiful purple color she's giving off, I missed out on this last time I grew this strain. Welcome Back fellow growers for another update on my FastBuds Purple Punch Auto. Over the course of this week, things have taken a turn, and a not-so-good one at that. I've been noticing some issues on the leaves over the last few weeks and have been trying to address them but I really haven't had the time, until now. I got in the garden and did some serious investigating from checking light distance, old diaries, ph run-off and all, and what I found out is that due to me not being so attentive the plant was too close to lights, along with my ph pen being out of calibration, thank god for my GHE PH drops otherwise I wouldn't have known it was off, I also found out it has been way too cold for them at night, which is causing some issues too. Even though all this is going on the plants is still growing quite well, the leaves just look like crap. The gorgeous purple hue and trichomes are stacking up to make you look past it though. So far the buds are still pretty airy hopefully she finishes up they become denser. She's also giving off a wonderful smell that I remember oh so well, as a grower you've just got to love the smell of pure DANK! Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Welcome Back fellow growers for another update on my FastBuds Purple Punch Auto. This plant is basically fading away but in a good way. I was able to check the trichomes this week and she's practically done, all the trichomes are milky and she's starting to get a few amber ones also. Welcome Back fellow growers for another update on my FastBuds Purple Punch Auto. This lady is basically done. I wish I could get her buds to thicken up more but at this point, she's super fading along with her having cloudy and amber trichomes already the issue I had early on definitely affected her bud structure. This is strain is winning me over every time I grow it. Due to some issues I had, it didn't get as dense as last time but I was still more than pleased with all the trichomes the amazing smell, and that beautiful purple color!!!
