AllGrower Popped 5 into a shot glass of de-chlorinated water, then after 14 hours, into moistened coffee filters. l put that on top of a plate over a heat mat. I also put the plate in a large bag to keep moisture in, as itโs winter where I am and very dry due to the furnace constantly running. After 36 hours, all 5 were cracked with 1 cm taproots and went into the soil. I like making my own soil blends; I find itโs a part of the tinkering process that I love. Iโm using a mix of fox farm ocean forest with coco, perlite, and worm castings. I also include some Gaia green 4-4-4 for some initial nutrition, along with some azomite. 24 hours after going into the soil, 4 of 5 are up. Iโm thinking the other wonโt be coming up, as it was visible that it wasnโt pushing a taproot after it first emerged from the seed. No bothers, as Iโm in Ontario and am only allowed 4 plants; I just wanted a back-up seedling. Iโll be doing a style of growing Iโve implemented with good success in the past, which is a 100% Organic grow in veg, then a hybrid grow in flower, providing 1/4 to 1/3 of the recommended nutrition through salt-based nutrients, while also amending the medium with organic ingredients.

AllGrower Things are going well. As suspected, the 5th of 5 seeds never came up. The seedlings are a little leggier than I would like, so I gave them a crutch. Iโm also a day or two behind where Iโd like to be after 7 days in terms of progress, though Iโm only using 60 watts right now of heavy blue spectrum light. Iโm doing this for two reasons: this strain is known to stretch, so Iโm using blue light to try to keep a squaty profile. And also my true grow tent is occupied for the next 10 days with drying, so I donโt mind a bit slower growth until I get them in there. I top dressed with some diatomaceous earth as I have fungus gnats in the house, and wanted to keep them out of these seedlings, especially this early in the grow when theyโre susceptible to root damage.

AllGrower No major dramas this week. I got rid of the fungus gnats with a healthy amount of diatomaceous earth. One pheno is being cranky, but still living and growing, albeit reluctantly. Iโm sure sheโll mellow out in a bigger home. Still growing a little slow because of the low wattage too. Another 10 days before my big tent is clear though, so no problem with the slower growth. Also got a 4-fingered 3rd node, which Iโve taken as good luck!

AllGrower Week 3 and I up-potted into 1 gallon containers. Did a equal mix of perlite-coco coir- worm castings - and fox farm ocean forest, I also added Gaia green dry amendments, azomite, and mycorrhizal fungi. All the girls were pretty root-bound, so it was good they got a new home. No issues with the plants so far; hoping it stays that way.

AllGrower The girls are in the big house not. Did a topping last week. They seem to be responding well and are starting to stretch out. More fungus gnats, more diatomaceous earth.
