After germination I put the seeds into small pots (0,25 liter) filled with Light-Mix from Goldlabel.nl and let them grow under the light of ONE SINGLE LED-lamp the SW4 from SANlight. The lamp hangs 50 cm above the babies and is easily strong enough from a good growth after germination. During the first few weeks I only give them ph-neutralized water with some BIO NOVA Roots. The BN-Roots will enhance the growth of the roots and give the babies a healthy start. I had them in the small pots almost too long... after 20 days the roots are coming out of the bottom already and the stems are pretty thick. Some plants start to get yellow, which I assume is from getting root-bound. When the roots run out of space and start to grow against the sides of the pot, the plant will stop to grow upwards. Therefore I have to transplant them into bigger containers asap...
The trichome stars I am growing this round are the following genetics:
- SERIOUS HAPPINESS from SERIOUS SEED (1 plant);
- SNEEZE from CNNBS.nl in coop with Seedstockers (3 plants);
- BLUE-MINT from Mountain High Seeds (12 plants);
- Mr. BIG CANDY and Mr. JEKYLL KUSH from Mr.HIDE - Seeds (2 and 4 plants);
- SUGAR BLACK ROSE from DELICIOUS SEEDS (3 plants);
- SHORELINE and STRAWBERRY SOUR DIESEL (3 and 1 plants) from ORIGINALDEVILHARVEST-Seeds (THIS IS THE ORIGINAL BREEDERS COMPANY! - PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE WITH Devil Harvest Seeds, who are copy-cats!)
In week 3 the 29 plants have been repotted the into 8 liter containers filled with a 2 cm layer of expanded clay-pebbles (for drainage) at the bottom and filled up with LIGHT-MIX from GOLDLABEL.nl . I added ONE TABLET of BIO-TABS nutrients to each container, which is sufficient for the whole cycle. The BIO-TABS nutrients are also SELF-REGULATING in ph-value, which means from now on I only have to give PURE TAB-WATER to them (without having to adjust the ph-value of the water to 6,0 each time). This will SAVE me a LOT OF TIME along the way and is sooooooo convenient! 👍😄 Twenty of my babies are put into trays of my 'EASY2GROW'- system from AUTOPOT-systems, which are supplied from a 100 liter foldable reservoir called 'Flexitank' and supply the trays of the plants with water all the time via gravity (the reservoir stands on a small table, so the water flows automatically). The remaining 8 plants (all BLUE MINT from Mountain High Seeds) also have BIO-TABS in their soil and will be watered by hand.
My three SANlight EVO5-150 LED-fixtures in the center are hung at 100 cm distance from the plants and are NOT DIMMED (they run at 100% power).
On the left and right side I hang my old Q5W-Gen.2 LED-lamps and tilt them inwards by 11 degrees with the easy-tilting system in the frame (I simply hang them up at one hole next to the center-hole). The two Q-series lamp are dimmed to 100% and also hang at 100 cm distance from the top of my trichome wonders.
Now in week 5 some of my plants have grown to 35 cm height while others (like the Shoreline) stayed a little shorter (15 cm). All have recovered from being slightly root-bound in the smaller pots and have a nice healthy green-color now. Therefore its time to switch to flowering (=12/12 hours of light/darkness) at the end of this week.
In week 6 my plants have grown tall enough (20-40 cm) to be switched to flowering. I change the timer I have added before the power-cord of my SANlight LEDs to 12/12 hours of light/darkness and thereby induce flowering. The three EVO5-150 and two Q5W-Gen.2 lamps are still 100 cm above the plants and run on 100% power. This way I ensure that the plants continue to grow upwards and get enough stretch during the beginning of flowering.
My babies all have a healthy green color and nice big fan leaves, which shows they love the BIO TABS nutrients. Since I added the nutrient-tablets to the soil I only have to give PURE TAB-WATER. The soil is now self-regulating (=adjusts the ph-level to 6,0) and has sufficiently nutrients for the whole cycle, its so convenient, I LOVE IT! Once a week I fill up my 100 liter 'Flexitank'-reservoir with water and I am good to go for another 5 to 7 days in my AUTOPOT-system. All pants outside the system are getting hand-watered every third day. Until now all is going well...now its waiting until the first flowers appear...👍😎
During week 7 and week 8 the plants continue to grow in height and develop into nice bushes with white flower crowns on top. All plants have a nice and healthy dark green color, the BIO-TABS nutrients are doing very well!
My lamps are still at 100 cm distance form the top of the plants and NOT DIMMED (=100% power) The light from the SANlight EVO5-150 and Q5W-Gen.2 LEDs is PERFECT for my ladies. They grown faster than under HPS and start earlier in the flower growth...I LOVE IT! 😍
The amount of flowers for this stage is AMAZING and the trichome production has started as well. My ladies start to get their awesome aromas now. Mor of that next time...
In week 9 my TRICHOME-WONDERS are doing GREAT! All plants continue to grow new flower crowns all over the plants. The branches starts to form colas now...its an impressive sight. The healthy green color and speedy devlopment tells me that the BIO-TABS nutrient tablets are still doing a FINE JOB! I love how convenient and time-saving my waterings are, since the plants ONLY GET PURE TAB-WATER. No more measuring and adjusting ph- and EC-levels feels like a LIBERATION...lol 😄
A few plants like the Strawberry-Sour-Siesel from DevilHarvestOriginal-Seeds are getting so tall, that I need to control their height. My favorite method to do this is SUPER-CROPPING! This is a method promoted by SOMA from SOMA-Seeds and works perfectly to control the height of a plant without having to top her.
I pinch the main-stem of the plant (appr. 25-30 cm from the top, right above a node) all around in a circle, so hard that I can feel the fibers inside brake. Then I bend the top part of the stem downwards (ar at least 90 degrees to the side) and let it hang there.
The plant will start to heal the stem where it was pinched (it will form an elbow-like shape) and turn the bent part of the stem upwards again. During this time the side-branches grow further in height and the plant will get bushier instead of taller. After the stem repaired itself, the buds on it will turn towards the lights as well and will continue to flower. This way I can control the height and still harvest the top-buds later.
In week 10 the flowering continues LIKE CRAZY! 😍 All plants produce new clusters of buds every day and start to form HUGE colas, an AMAZING thing TO SEE! The amount of trichomes is getting INSANE, the plants get FROSTY AS HELL under the SANlight LEDs 💪. All my TRICHOME WONDERS have a nice healthy green color, which shows the effectiveness of the BIO-TAB nutrients. They are soooooooo convenient and save me so much time when it comes to watering the plants, I LOVE IT! Since the BIO-TABS transform my soil into 'living soil', all I need to add is PURE TAB-WATER without a need for any ph-adjustment or measurement. Once a week I fill up my 250 liter 'Flexitank'-reservoir, which supplies my AUTOPOT-system, and I am done for the week....thats GREAT! The EVO5-150 and Q5W-Gen.2 LED-lamps are hanging at a distance of 60-80 cm from the top of the plants at this stage and are dimmed to 100%. The flower development under the new EVO5-150s is quicker and more abundant than under HPS, they are doing an OUTSTANDING JOB until now, two thumbs up! 👍👍
All 22 plants are doing GREAT in week 11! They have a healthy green color (shows that the BIO TABS nutrients still work well) and develop more and more flowers all over. The buds have started to form HUGE COLAS on some plants and the TRICHOME PRODUCTION Is in full swing now. The plants are GLISTENING with trichomes and some even have RESIN-RAILS on their fan-leaves, its AMAZING TO SEE! My wonderful ladies are SMELLING DELICIOUS now. The STRAWBERRY-SOUR-DIESEL from DevilHarvestOriginal-Seeds has an amazing CITRUS and LEMON aroma. The Mr.Jekyll-Kush from Mr. Hide Seeds has a VERY STRONG KUSH-aroma...it smells gassy and DANK! The SUGAR BLACK ROSE from Delicious Seeds has mildly sweet aroma, which reminds me a little bit of VANILLA. The SERIOUS HAPPINESS from Serious Seeds has a nice BERRY aroma, which is fruity and sweet. The aroma from the Mr. Big Candy from Mr. Hide Seeds is similar to that, fruity and sweet. The BLUE-MINT from Mountain-High-Seeds has a more EARTHY smell to it. The SHORELINE plants from DevilHarvestOriginal-Seeds stays very short and bushy and has a VERY FUNKY aroma...very refreshing, almost like eucalyptus. Until now I LOVE THE SPEEDY DEVELOPMENT UNDER MY SANlight LEDs! The plants are growing healthier and faster and develop more resin under the EVO5-150s than they do under HPS!
The flowering of my TRICHOME WONDERS continues through week 12 and they have grown to an AMAZING size now. The main branches form HUGE colas and some of the plants have started their fade (=the leaves start to get yellow and/or purple), which shows they are getting ripe now and that the BIO-Tabs nutrients in the soil are almost used up. Perfect timing until the end of the cycle. The amount of TRICHOMES on some of my babies is FLABBERGASTING! 😱😍 The topbuds are ENCRUSTED with a WHITE LAYER of trichomes and the plants are GLISTENING now. Especially the Mr. Big Candy from Mr. Hide Seeds is a VERY BEAUTIFUL specimen...she has hues of purple and red in the buds and is FULL OF CRYSTALS! The aroma is a sweet candy like smell, which makes my mouth water every time. The biggest colas are formed on the Mr. Jekyll Kush from Mr. Hide Seeds, she is HUGE! Unfortunately one of the HUGE top-buds has developed bud-rot, therefore I ha to cut off the invested top part of the plant. (see in pics) The SANlight EVO5-150 and Q5W-Gen.2 LED-lamps are doing an OUTSTANDING JOB, they are hanging at appr. 80 cm from the top of the plants and running at 100% (=not dimmed) now. The intensity and spectrum of the LEDs is perfectly designed for the development of Cannabis plants and the results speak for themselves. THOSE LEDs WORK MUCH BETTER THAN HPS-LIGHTS!!! 👍😃 I LOVE THEM!
During week 13 my plants continued to throw out trichomes all over. It is AMAZING to see how the plants are shining with crystals. The 22 plants are ripening well and get a nice fade, they will be ready to harvest soon. The three SANlight EVO5-150 and two Q5W-Gen.2 LEDs are doing an EXCELLENT job! They are still at 80 cm distance of the plants and running at 100% (=not dimmed). The intensity and spectrum of the lamps is PERFECT FOR CANNABIS, the plants get rock hard buds and GLISTEN WITH TRICHOMES! All main- and side-branches form big colas on each plant...this will be a GREAT result. The BIO-TAB nutrient tablets in the soil are used up now, thats why the plants have a nice fade and will be clean and smooth to smoke without an extra flush before the harvest. The aroma of the my TRICHOME WONDERS is VERY STRONG now, the room has an intense sweet and fruity smell...its mouthwatering 👍. I cant wait to harvest them soon...😃
The Shoreline has a nice uplifting sativa-effect and tastes VERY DELICIOUS! The aroma and taste are VER SPECIAL with a note of eucalyptus to it. She has a strong potency, but helps only little with my back-pain. She is more of a mood-lifter.
The Shoreline grows very short and compact and develops only fluffy popcorn sized nugs, she is truly NOT A GOOD HARVESTER! The little of bud she has is therefore covered in trichomes and the somke-quality of the bud is EXCELLENT!
The Strawberry-Sour-Diesel from DevilHarvestOriginal Seeds is a TRULY AMAZING PLANT. She had bright red stems and devloped hard nugs covered trichomes. She has an extreme LEMON smell and taste, VERY DELICIOUS. She smokes smooth with a delicious lemon flavor on the inhale and the exhale. The potency is high, she has a nice medicinal effect. She helps well against my chronic back-pain.
The Strawberry-Sour-Diesel from DevilHarvestOriginal Seeds was one of the BEST PLANTS of this cycle! She is a TRULY AMAZING PLANT. She grows with a great big internode distance and had to be SUPER-CROPPED for height control. The stem grow in a bright red color and the buds devlope a nice purple coloration, which was awesome to see. The trichomes are covering all side- and main-buds with a thick layer. SHE IS A TRUE TRICHOME WONDER!
The SERIOUS HAPPINESS from SERIOUS SEEDS is a GREAT strain! She has a very good medicinal effect and helps immediately with my chronic back pain. At the same time she lets me stay clear in my head to do my work, a VERY GOOD DAYTIME MEDICINE! She tastes sweet with hints of berries and is SIMPLY DELICIOUS!
The SERIOUS HAPPINESS from SERIOUS SEEDS is VERY EASY to grow and develops very big and compact buds. She grows to a medium height and bushes out nicely. The mainbud and all sidebuds grow big-colas and she harvests very well. Her aroma is sweet and reminds me of berries, simply delicious to smoke. A very good daytime medicine!
The Sugar Black Rose from Delicious Seeds has A VERY THICK LAYER of TRICHOMES and is a TRUE TRICHOME WONDER! The buds are dense and compact and form a HUGE cola on the main stem. She has reddish hues in the buds, which is AMAZING. Her effect is very strong, she immediately takes away my back-pain and lets me totally relax. VERY GOOD MEDICINAL EFFECT!
The Sugar Black Rose from Delicious Seeds grows tall with one HUGE COLA on the main stem and only a few sidebranches. Each sidebranch develops also big bus with a thick layer of trichomes. The amount of trichomes on the head-bud is mind-blowing, she is COVERED WITH A THICK LAYER of trichomes and looks WHITE on top! A TRUE TRICHOME WONDER! The plants grow tall, but did not have to be super-cropped. They harvested well and delivered a good amount of HIGHEST QUALITY BUDS!
The Mr. Big Candy from Mr. Hide Seeds smokes very nicely. She has a sweet, candy-like aroma and taste. You taste the SWEETNESS on the inhale and the exhale, very nice! Her potency is good and she is not too strong. She can help with my chronic back-pain, but still lets me function normally. A good day-time smoke. Her buds sometime turn purple and always have an abundance of crystals, she is TRULY BEAUTIFUL and another TRICHOME WONDER!
The Mr. Big Candy from Mr. Hide Seeds grows medium tall with a good amount of side-branching. She develops nice dense buds, that sometimes turn purple. All side and main-branches form colas and have an immense amount of trichomes on them, it looks like THEY ARE COVERED IN SUGAR! The aroma is sweet and reminds me of hard-candy. This aroma carries into the taste and is delicious when smoked.
The Mr. Jekyll Kush from Mr. Hide Seeds is a VERY POTENT KUSH VARIETY! She has a VERY STRONG MEDICINAL effect and immediately takes away my chronic back-pain. She is not for the faint hearted, only experienced smokers can handle her! She is best used in the evening, when you search for total relaxation and can be couch-locked for a while. Her aroma and taste is kushy and gassy, very DELICIOUS!
The Mr. Jekyll Kush from Mr. Hide Seeds grow to a MONSTROUS SIZE! She grows very tall and had to be super-cropped for height-control. She still developed into the BIGGEST PLANTS in the room! The size of her main cola is like my fore-arm and she is still throwing out new buds every day! A TRUE HARVEST MIRACLE! The HUGE buds are not too compact, but they are COVERED IN TRICHOMES. This variety is another TRUE TRICHOME WONDER! She has a VERY STRONG MEDICINAL EFFECT and a STRONG KUSH-AROMA! Gassy and Dank indeed!
The SNEEZE is a collaboration from CNNBS.nl and Seedstockers. Her parents are Amnesia Haze and White Widow and she is as white as them. The plants develop a thick layer of resin and the smoke is VERY POTENT with a GOOD MEDICINAL effect. She has a mild amnesia-taste and mildly sweet when smoked. She helps well against my chronic back-pain.
The SNEEZE plants grow to a medium size and have a good amount of side-branches. The main stems forms a big cola and all side-stems have big buds as well. The buds develop a nice layer of resin in flowering and in the end the plants are WHITE from trichomes (as her parents). SHE IS A TRUE TRICHOME WONDER! The buds are compact and therefore she harvested very well.
The Blue Mint from Mountain High Seeds develops RESIN RAILS on the fan-leaves, she is a TRICHOME WONDER in the truest sense. Her buds are COVERED WITH A THICK LAYER OF TRICHOMES, which makes her glistening like hell. The effect is STRONG when smoked and takes away my chronic back-pain right away. She has a mildly sweet taste with a refreshing note to it. Delicious to smoke, a perfect daytime smoke.
The BLUE-MINT plants from Mountain High Seeds are easy to grow and have a nice green color all thru the cycle. The plants grow compact with only a little sidebranching. The buds from big colas on all branches and the plants harvest well. Some are so resinous that they develop resin rails on their fan-leaves. the crystals make the leafs curl upwards, its amazing to see. The smoke is potent and has a good medicinal effect.
Nice looking room man. Clean setup. I remember when I designed and grew my own under current systems in a bedroom conversion. What is your PAR on the plant tops ? Lights might do better to be a bit closer. Having a therm gun or light meter helps a ton to maximize your growth knowing exactly how far you can push it. 77 for veg is a bit cool. Cannabis plants love heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. You would be more than comfortable to go up into the low to low mid 80s. Keep your day and night temp gaps within 10 degrees while in veg or early flower. Whats your humidity at ? Ever grown shoreline before ? I have been interested in it for some time.

@LegacyMarketFarm, I have grown the SHORELINE from ORIGINALDEVILHARVEST-Seeds before. It stays very short and bushy and grows airy and small buds, not really a growers choice. But the TASTE AND EFFECT ARE SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD, that I still HAVE TO grow some plants of this strain...👊😎
