Hey Growers!
I think you may be overwatering your plants. The leaves look super droopy. Would explain the bottom leaves looking like that also. Might be experiencing some root rot. As for the black flies I'd use azamax. It's an organic pesticide and super safe to use. Really the only pesticide I ever use. Other than that your new growth looks great on them so very promising.
@Noweed, the way I look at watering is 1. Only water once the soil is dry up to your second knuckle of your index finger. If it’s still damp wait. I too when I first started growing had a habit of overwatering.
2. When you do water them use enough water until you get runoff from the pot.
You’ll be surprised at how much less you’re actually watering.
The insectcide is safe up until harvest. I would take action now before you get further along with the flowering. Also you might be having a problem with nutrients uptake. What ph is your runoff water? you want to be somewhere between 6-7ph ideally 6.5ph. Let me know if this helps.
@Lemon_Honey_420, I will try next grow because this one is just finish but it's not updated yet because I had so many things to do and get under control. But this one has been one of my main problems in the crop i think. Thank u honey 😊.
@Noweed, I'm not fully sure. I'm cheap and still use drop solution. I basically just get a sample runoff sample and 3-5 drops depending on sample size. I'm more so trying to see if my soil is alkaline or acidic based on the runoff. I usually start my grow by just pH the water for the plants but once I'm a month in I'm checking the runoff as way to up or down my pH for the water there after. It works for me and people have told me this is the way. Still not a bad idea to keep testing your water for any spikes or dips in pH.
@Lemon_Honey_420, This is one of the main mistakes i did because I'm afraid to put my device into the dirty runoff water. ¿Is it secure to mesure your runoff water with the same device you mesure your water solution? Or is it better to buy this kind of sticks that turns into a color in fuction of the ph? Sorry for my dummy question but as I said this is my first grow 😅
