So these are clones from my last run of planet of the grapes. Have diary to check out. These are not the healthiest girls as I was kinda letting them coast during the time I was finishing up the other crop to decide on a keeper pheno. Kept #1 These are phenos 2,3,&4 2 up front left 3 back left 4 back right All under the Mars hydro FC-E 4800 This thing is a beast and I’m loving it’s even distributed photons. Only complaint is it runs too cold lol which is great normally but I could use a bit more heat right now.. This 480W driver runs cooler than my SF 200w boards

Kept #1 These are phenos 2,3,&4 You can see plenty of redding of stems from under feeding likely in Veg cycle.. I was waiting to pick pheno, once I did, it was was throw these out or flower them. Seeing as they were in decent shape in elected to flower them, but I’m sure I’ll have some issues as the cycle moves forwards. Well these are coming along nicely.. so tempted to pollinate them with some stuff I have but I think I’m Gonna leave them be. It’s day 20 of flower and I should be doing it now, or two days ago really. They are having similar salt build up issues, but I’m using bigger containers and watering more frequently. There’s MUCH less perlite in this than the last PotG run. Definitely not the healthiest girls.. but I’m working it. I wasn’t sure what my plan was with these clones and so they weren’t well maintained, so they got put in flower a bit unhealthy. Very happy with Mars hydro FC-E4800 production at this point. Wish it kept tent a bit warmer tho I’m needing a heater to keep it warm and I do not like that. ThNks for checkin it out folks! ——— midweek update——— I did some mild defoliation which I normally don’t do anymore, but we’ll see how it works out. Still dealing with some salt buildup even this round which is unfortunate, trying to feed more regularly.. used bigger containers. Nothing like last time but runoff is higher than I’d like it to be. This time around, number three is really stealing the show in my opinion. Wish I would’ve kept a clone of that. Good thing is these genetics are pretty damn stable so buying another pack should get very similar results to these. But that number three is a little bit of an outlier Pheno I believe.. Day 27 I believe.. Feb 6 I was away for 2.5 days and love seeing them when I get back. 2 is struggling with some micro issues/ salt build I believe because for a week or so it was super cold and I was having to use heater pointed right at it.. so heat issue also. It’s run off was higher because it was solidifying salts on that one quickly.. before plant had a chance to take them up. That’s my guess They all are showing some overfeeding signs but I believe it’s still much better than last time grow.. —-update—- Still got some salt buildup issues. This is Day 32 of flower over the last day or two you can see the color coming in on the sugar leaves. Mainly on number 3 a little bit on number 2 not at all on number 4 Still having mild pest issues that rebound. It’s getting super frustrating. This is the result of bringing an outdoor plant in this summer, and still dealing with the effects of it six or seven months later. After this run, I am bringing everything to the ground and working from seed. That’s the problem is that when there’s always mothers and clones constantly in rotation it’s easy to keep pests alive.. These are looking quite a bit frostier, that’s probably due to the fact that they are more mature plants. Working from seed takes a little bit away from your final product when you’re flipping the flower in the first month or two. These plants biologically are like five months old. That was Something that was pointed out from the ethos founder in a podcast I watched him do that I never thought about. But it seems very apparent now after seeing original plants from seeds, then the clone run months later. Surely part of that is just learning from what that plant likes and what does not like.. so you can improve upon that on the second run. Alright I’m rambling.. Dealing with aphid flare ups.. so tired of this shit. Using Athenas IPM ($170/gallon) and it’s just keeping them at bay but not eliminating them entirely. This is from working with mothers and introducing them in my basement last summer. Little assholes. I’m starting from seed next and getting some ladybugs in here ASAP. Anyhow. Girls getting their color this week Day 34 of flower 3 is the one showing out now.. 2 is doing ok but having some micro issues the last 2 weeks 3 has got amazing frost, color, and looking to yield quite a bit too! I do have a clone of it luckily still MIDWEEK UPDATE Girls are looking decent still definitely some issues with number two, I wish I had more time to dedicate to these on their own but I have a lot to tend to on a daily basis so these don’t always get the love they need. That said. Running low feed same thing thru out Bloom - around 1.5 EC has been fine. That’s the main issue is with all I’ve got going I don’t have time or energy to mix up so many different feeds for so many different plants at so many different phases of growth.. so I just used a generic feed for everything basically and crank up PK a bit for flowering plants. Coming right along. Still having issues cuz of dryback a bit.. just overall need to get drip feed or automated shit setup if I’m gonna continue running a similar set up.. but I’m increasingly leaning towards DWC. I have POTG 1 & 4 clone going in DWC in another diary. Very excited to see the comparison between clones in different mediums. I did this before I realized that you had to use clones not seeds.. for more accurate results at least. Anyhow, color coming in strong now. 4 is struggling to stay up. Going to have to put some more yo yo plant hangers It was transplanted just days before flower so it makes sense it doesn’t have the strength of the others. With that quick trigger of the clones.. these should be done well before last time. I’m thinking day 50ish for 3.. 55 for the others maybe? 4 probably needs more time than all of them Grown under Mars hydro FCE4800 Link to store www.mars-hydro.com

Not sure on the pics which phenos are which but I have the hangers labeled and I’ll update that.. Chopped right about 55 days from flip or just about 8 weeks (56 days would be 8 weeks) Trichs are on point ! Man i have to highly recommend getting a cheap microscope from Amazon.. for 2-3x the price of a jeweler loupe.. it’s amazing the clarity compared to it. The loupe often makes some cloudy look clear.. this microscope gives waaaaayy better pics. #2 was smallest but frosty as I expected I expect 4-4.5 oz on this one #3 showed out and was wayyyy diff than original seed run. Messed up that one with salt build ups and dryback issues. Keeping a cut of this one and killed rest off. Will easily take the crown on yield . I expect 6+ oz from this one #4 coulda gone another couple days but I decided I wanted em all down at once. This one didn’t have the foundation, it was a later transplant so it wasn’t as strong roots as other one and started falling over in late flower cuz branching was weak. Still yielded well I expect 5ish from this one. Overall I will get right around a pound. Probably closer to 14- 15oz conservatively. Going to really try to control my temps and RH during drying.. 2 days of getting a lot of moisture out.. then several days of closer to equilibrium. Terps are just magnificent.. even more refined now that they’re more mature and biologically several months old when I started Veg.. More ETHOS on the way. Stay tuned. So still had some salt build ups. These were mothers I just threw into flower one day after I selected a pheno I wanted, even tho I changed my mind and went with number 3 Anyhow, I’ll get between 13-15 oz dry I’m thinking at this point. Really dialed in the drying and curing process and that took things up a notch.

Interested to see if you notice any difference in end result with the new light. Looking great so far!

@TragicTerps, I did the whole flower of my Gnostikos diary under this FCE4800. Turned out amazing. The main advantage frankly is light distribution man, with the par meter is so consistent across the 4x4.. and if you’re canopy is even enough you can drop down the light real close and turn the dimmer down and get great numbers at like 50-70% still. Save some energy and get great results still.

@Ezzjaybruh, yeah I follow what you're saying. I've been looking at the next class up for lights but want to see the comparison before I commit lol. So as usual, I will be following til the end.
Ezzjaybruh
Ezzjaybruhcommented3 years ago
@TragicTerps, there should be a difference just from running these from clone. Almost always the clones will have a bit better cannabinoid numbers, terps, etc.. just from being a more mature plant than that first one from seed. Unless you veg for several months. But you usually end up with a little better results off clones compared to the flower from a short veg cycle and flip from seed. It’s also nice because there’s a quicker flower trigger on clones as well usually.. again, all this is under the assumption that you only veg the first from seed plant for less than 8 weeks or so.. hopefully all that made sense lol. But I should be able to get a good sense of what this light can do also. I have flowered some other strains under it but this will be a good comparison, you’re right. The stuff I mentioned at the beginning shouldn’t be to obvious to the eye

@RunWithIt, Thanks man.. I kept the Pheno #1 that yielded 10 oz and then the 3 phenos in this diary are phenos 2,3,&4.. Still have #3 also luckily cuz I had a feeling about it and I’m glad I kept it I’m gonna breed with it too. It almost died but it made it !

@RunWithIt, thanks brotha. You can check out my other POTG diary that has the original ones from seed.. had some salt build up issues on that one too but they turned out gorgeous

Ezzjaybruh
Ezzjaybruhcommented3 years ago
@Baron4linz, yes getting lower night temps will help. They usually just come on fast starting about day 45-50 in flower / 12-12

Very Nice looking garden, interested to see how they do compared to those from seed, best luck the rest of the way!

@Canna96, thanks man it is interesting to see as well. Low yielding #3 is now a beast. I think it was heavily effected by salt build ups last run
the end.
