airboygemini Put seedlings in reservoir with 43 gallons. Let them adjust for one day to the RO water, then added hydroguard. Let them adjust for another 2 days and added the nutrients. Doing some work on my environmental monitoring and raspberry pi at the moment so no PH, EC, or temp from reservoir yet.

airboygemini Without my environmental monitoring set up going into Week 1 I didn't realize my ph was at 3.4 so my plants got pretty stressed and weak. Once I got my monitoring back online I corrected the PH and the plants started recovering slowly. Increased nutrients because I was still worried they weren't getting enough even though it was probably still just a hangover from the ph issue.
Using raspberry pi with atlas scientific probes and EZO boards going to google cloud for my environmental monitoring. I can check my tent conditions from my phone anywhere at any time and get the current environmental conditions with a 10 second lag. Pretty nice.
Going to start topping the strong plants as they form their 4th nodes. Hoping to do 2 toppings per plant.

airboygemini Had some spotting on the leaves that I hadn't seen before, which (hopefully) I diagnosed as a P deficiency, so added so I added some more "Bloom" nutes. Topped each plant above the 3rd node, and growth has recovered. I also have not yet changed a reservoir, still using the original reservoir just trying to add nutes a little bit as indicated by the plants. PH is steady so far so I think I can make it to bloom (week 4) before changing... fingers crossed.

airboygemini Nutes finally got to a happy medium this week. Fortunately it seems despite their genetic differences, in Veg the critical mass and LSD don't mind similar nute formulas. Started Flowering 12/12 cycle yesterday Feb 17th. Haven't changed the reservoir yet since seedlings, but I will change out and do a good rinse with RO water before filling up the new reservoir. Using the single 40 gal reservoir so far has been great. Much less complexity than the recirculating DWC setup I used in past. The smell finally hit and I had to hook up the carbon filter. Smell was gone in 20 min.

airboygemini Plants loved the switch to bloom, starting with light nutrients I'll get at least one if not two more weeks out of the same reservoir, increasing nutrients each week. Started the week with only 2.51ml/gal of bud ignitor but plants were indicating some phosphorous deficiency so I added more ignitor. I'll be upping all the nutes today for week 2. Root health is looking great on all the plants.

airboygemini Plants are doing great. Eating and drinking a ton, so I had to top up nutes and water 3 days into the grow, but with how fast they're eating they're already back to the same PPM. Roots are looking good. I did a thorough cleanout during the last reservoir change.

airboygemini Yet another great week of hungry and thirsty plants, starting to look like a SCROG. I only topped once so each plant has two main colas forming. We'll see how the buds turn out, but next time I might top twice so there top canopy is more uniform in height.

airboygemini I decided to aggressively defoliate this week, mostly just to see what would happen. The plants took about 4 days to recover, and then came back to life. I'm still not convinced it really does anything, but I do feel the lower bud sites are looking stronger. I did a 90% defoliation. No other defoliation this whole grow besides a single topping in Week 3.
I also had to add another 200W spider led light to help get more light into the newly defoliated canopy so those lower bud sites would wake up and soak in the sun. I'm running out of height though for the LSD plants. They really stretched. The Critical Mass plants are about half as tall. One is quite runty, but the other plant is very healthy and has many good looking bud sites. I'm excited to see how that one turns out.
So far I've been pleasantly surprised by the ease of managing two very different strains sitting in the exact same 40 gallon bucket. So far they have played nicely. Time will tell, but I'm optimistic I can harvest them when both are mature. I do think this will go at least to week 9 or even week 10 before flush.

airboygemini Started Flush 5 days ago, leaves are just starting to spot. Trichomes are stuck on "slightly cloudy" so we'll see if they actually turn. Hopefully they turn in 3-5 days and then I can switch to 48hrs of darkness and harvest 1 week from today. The fox-tailing on one of the LSD plants is quite apparent now. I'll need to try and figure out what I did to cause that.
Really nice mellow high. Very little resin production compared to the LSD plants that were grown in the same reservoir. My plants stayed relatively short, and had a good quantity of nice colas. No foxtailing like the LSD plants did.

They look like they could use another 2 weeks at least, in my opinion! It's gonna be a great haul, don't cut yourself short by chopping early. Just some friendly advice and my 2 cents 😊
