I have to constantly check her to make sure bud sites aren't being overshadowed by fan leaves. Defoliate, partial leaf removal, tuck or LST - whatever is needed to exposed the bud sites to more light.
Pollinated 1 bud with each male pollen I had in stock. 5 buds were pollinated on each plant to make new seeds. While the rest of the 20+ buds are left to grow flower.
She's starting to show me why she's called Sherbet... getting some orang-ish throughout the buds & leaves are starting with a hint of deep purple.
Using dirty aquarium water has been going great through flowering so far, no nitrogen toxicity.
3/11/22 - Defoliated for the last time!
Defoliated so there's no moisture buildup between leaves, preventing PM. There were so many leaves, it looked pretty like a beautiful bush - but my intuition told me that those are going to hold too much moisture. Now there is enough space for the buds to fill out with even airflow throughout.
They don't look as beautifully full after defoliation but they'll be cleaner & easier to trim come the end of flower.

She's starting to show more coloring on her leaves, I think she'll be the first one to harvest. It looks like she'll be ready with 2 weeks. I'll keep checking trichomes often to pull her at the perfect time for my needs.
The trichomes are slowly getting closer to harvest date .
The bud sites have filled out beautifully & things are getting very stinky around here😁🤤
I flushed each plant with pure filtered water @ 6.25pH

She was always thirsty! She drank almost as much as my 10ft tall plant & she was under 2ft tall?! Handled LST very well. She had an abundance of leaves which looked like a beautiful canna-bush growing but come trim time ugh not so much. Her leaves started turning darker purple the last two weeks, making her even prettier! She was only 14 inches tall (LST) & wound up having 65 bud sites.
