Showing good signs she's going to be a strong lady.
Popped this because I didn't see any action from my mephisto seeds, but now looks like I'll be having three plants.
Wish me luck 🍀
I've been very slack with updating.
But neither of my mephisto seeds worked out so this gelato is my saving grace.
She's been working on growing up, I've got another update to go for the second week with this one so peace ✌️
So I repotted to a 5 gal pot possibly a bit early but I'm hoping to get them rooted before the big stretch comes.
Next time I think I'll start in a 5 gallon and just make sure not to over water.
She's smooth sailing so far and she's starting a new stretch so 👌
Strong week, lots of growth. I've switched from rain water to filtered tap water as I have a feeling my water butt might have something in it my plants aren't enjoying. Also picked up some PH perfect micro from advanced neutrients to pick up the ppm a little.
All in all looking good!
We are getting into it now sports fans! She's a week behind my cali snow but definetly doing a good amount of stretching now. I'll be tying down every other day now until the stretch is over 🤟
Another strong week from my special gelato.
We are looking strong!
Nice lovely green leaves, no discolouration they are sucking up all the feed and enjoying it so I'm happy as Larry.
Starting the stink up the place nice progress. I'm hoping this gelato grows a little more as she's only 30cm at the moment I'd like to see her get to at least 40 the fatten out. I've got all my bits crossed for good luck
Another pretty successful week, got a lot of girth growth which is what we like.
I retied all the side branches down and spread them all a bit. In the coming days I might de foliate a bit and chop off some of the larf.
Wish me luck
Still cruising!have some slight discolouration starting and I've no idea why it might be happening except I mightve dipped my pH too low last watering. I'll be checking all this after work tomorrow and trying to correct
The gelato will probably turn out to be one of my favourite grows no matter what I throw at her she's soaking it up! Even my rookie mistakes haha
We've got a little while to go yet but doing okay I think
Gelato still knocking it out the park for me, probably one of my favourite strains so far. I do need a good deleaf at some point soon to allow more airflow but she is looking 👌 very goooood
We've been flushing now for about half a week, should be ready in another week or so. Noticed my cali snow had seeded so just got my fingers crossed my gelato isn't fucked! Close ups taken on the 23rd
Haven't smoked her just yet. Such a pleasure to grow start to finish. Managed to get a good canopy on this girl and she took everything I threw at her.
I'll be getting this one again for sure.
I also weighed using bathroom scales with it hung on coat hangers so it might be around 700 weed weight.
Very pleased with this one, she has been a pleasure all the way through. Going to miss her I think but she had a tiny bit of bud rot starting on one of the buds so she had to come down.
These look to be the same thing a little to much N possibly to much food all around. I would check the ph and use just ph'd water for a couple times. Good luck 👍
@Benasquella, some growers like to allow them to dry enough for the plants to wilt but I wouldn't what I do is lift the pots to see how light it is there's a big difference in weight from wet to dry then water until I get about a quart of runoff
@Cyrusdavirus,
Alright I'll give it a go can't hurt to just ph water.
I do water to run off which usually takes around 4/5 litres which leaves the soil pretty saturated am I maybe leaving them to dry up a bit too much then saturating?
It's not easy this growing malarkey haha.
I'll probably start reducing feeding now each week and hope they'll recover a little.
Should I chop the browning leaves off the buds?
Thanks for the help man very much appreciated
@Benasquella, I would start by skipping one feeding and use just ph water just to see what happens but it might be a good idea to change to feeding every other time. Or you could try just cut the food in half for each feeding... do you water them to runoff every time?
The brown spots are possibly a calcium issue plants use a lot more calcium and magnesium when they first start flowering
