GreenOrganicGermany I am more than satisfied with the results this week. The seeds germinated within a few hours, so I was able to plant them in soil very quickly. I chose a Light-Mix as the medium, which I only enriched with mycorrhiza cultures. The temperature is 25.5° during the day and 20° Celsius at night, with humidity at 65%. So far, I am extremely satisfied. I can't see any signs of deficiencies or stress-related problems.

GreenOrganicGermany My little lady is starting to grow! So I will begin with the feeding. At first, I will provide her with a light mix of Bio-Grow and Fish-Mix, so as not to overwhelm her. If Madame continues to thrive like this, her hunger will probably grow in the coming days =D I'm very excited!

GreenOrganicGermany Today is Day 14. The beauty is growing very well, and I will probably transplant her in the next few days. I will wait at least another week until the first topping. Overall, I am very satisfied with the progress of this round so far. However, I won't change the amount of nutrients supplied yet; for the transplanting, I will brew a compost tea to give the soil a little boost and reduce stress. A little update for Day 15: My Chocolate Haze lady is showing slight signs of a nutrient deficiency. The pH level was in a good range at 6.5 during each watering, so I can rule out a blockage. Since she has grown excellently in the last few days, I suspect a sodium deficiency. To be sure, and since I can't completely rule out a potassium deficiency, I gave her an extra dose of CalMag today. Tomorrow (Day 16) I will transplant her. Afterwards, she will receive a foliar feeding to reduce stress. This should also help counteract the deficiency symptoms. Day 19: Today she was transplanted. I moved her into a 20-liter fabric pot. This is prepared with 3 Biotabs, and the soil is activated with compost tea. I am very satisfied with the development of the roots. They look healthy and strong, and there is no sign of root circling. I inoculated the root ball with 3 grams of mycorrhiza before transplanting. The slight deficiency symptoms are still a bit concerning. Let's see if I can manage these with the additional nutrient supply and the transplanting. This should show in the next few days.

GreenOrganicGermany Next week is starting! Unfortunately, I had a few small problems with her last week. She was crying out for calcium, and I gave it to her =D Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with her development, so I decided to do the first topping. At first glance, she seems to have handled it pretty well. I'm really liking the way her branches are spreading so far, so much so that I'm currently leaning towards skipping further topping and continuing with LST.

GreenOrganicGermany Tag 36: Today the flowering is starting! =D I set the timer to 12 hours this morning, and I'm slowly lowering the humidity. I will also carefully continue with the LST this week, but I will give her a few breaks to help her cope with the light change. In the heating cellar, a compost tea is brewing right now. I will feed it to her in 24 to 36 hours and hope it provides her with extra energy. In the past, this has always worked well =D

GreenOrganicGermany A new week begins. After last week was pretty uneventful, I'm curious to see how the next few days will develop. In the coming days, I will remove the lower leaves and some small shoots to ensure adequate ventilation. Additionally, she's getting a top feeding. Just like with my fat banana, I'm using the Bat Guano from RQS here. For my 20-liter pots, I usually add 100 grams. If necessary, she'll also receive more LST. And I'm almost 100% sure she'll need it as a strong Sativa =D Also this week, there's compost tea again. It's already bubbling away and should be ready to feed in 24-36 hours. Day 45: Today, the lady has suffered a bit =D She got her LST for this week. I also removed the lowest shoots and some of the large fan leaves. But not too much at once; I don't want to stress her out too much :) She's slowly getting a proper stretch, but seems to be a bit more Indica-dominant. I'm really looking forward to the results. Either way, the Chocolate Haze is one of my absolute favorites =D Last but not least, she got her portion of Bat Guano today, as she's starting to get really hungry.

GreenOrganicGermany A new flowering week begins. Today my lady got a little LST again, I adjusted one of her shoots in height and removed some of the large fan leaves, as well as the lowest shoots. Nobody likes popcorn buds =D It seems she has also overcome the stretch and is now starting to form flowers. I thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the grow box again. Additionally, I reinforced the exhaust to slowly lower the humidity. In the basement, a compost tea is brewing again, and I set up a mushroom culture to feed it later. The hot phase is slowly starting, and my ladies want to be well taken care of after all ^.^

GreenOrganicGermany Today marks the 8th week of her life. She's slowly starting to develop beautiful, sticky buds, and her smell has increased as well. To improve light efficiency, I removed a few leaves and some new shoots from the lower part of the lady. I'm also preparing a fresh compost tea for feeding this week; other than that, I don't have too much planned for her. I'm satisfied with her growth and eagerly waiting to see what changes the week will bring. To minimize the risk of mold, I completely cleaned and disinfected my grow box today, as I do at the beginning of every new week. Day 63, the week is coming to an end. So far, the chocolate lady is developing quite well. She's forming some beautiful, already sparkling and sticky buds. I estimate she'll need another good 5-6 weeks. She definitely seems unstoppable =D

GreenOrganicGermany With day 63, another week of flowering begins. I'm very satisfied with the progress of her growth so far. She shows no signs of deficiency and is forming some very nice flower clusters. I’ll probably have to give her a bit of a rough time this week =D She will lose some of her larger leaves, and a few new shoots have developed in the lower area, which I will also remove. This way, I hope to largely avoid popcorn buds. Otherwise, she will be fed again with a strong flower tea, this week mushroom dominant. I'm also excited and curious about what this week will bring. Annoyingly mentioned on the side: I had to visit 5 grocery stores to buy a pack of oatmeal =D I need this as food for my mushroom colonies. Slowly but surely, real gaps in the basic supply are starting to show...

GreenOrganicGermany Here we go into a new week =D So far, the last few days have been relatively uneventful. I've removed some leaves and fed them with compost tea. A final boost for the home stretch. I've further lowered the humidity. Right now, it's settled at 48 to 52%. Everything's looking good in my opinion. Nothing special planned for her this week. I'll just relax and wait to see what happens. Slowly but surely, the lady is turning into a true bud monster =D The smell is chocolatey, slightly fruity. I'm looking forward to the final product^^ Day 76: Slowly but surely, her delightful buds are starting to swell nicely. A wonderful sight =D But she'll need a few more days to reach her final ripeness. Makes sense, with such Sativa-heavy strains. Still, I'm surprised by her rapid development. Just like my fat banana, she's ahead of my original time estimate. My new Sanlight seems to really please my ladies. I'm absolutely thrilled!

GreenOrganicGermany A new flowering week begins and there's not much to report =D I've lowered the humidity in my box to 40-42%. The lady is still getting regular water, but her trichomes are already starting to cloud up. The buds are swelling and getting heavier and heavier. And quite a lot of them too =D I'm definitely excited about this Chocolady, a true bud monster. Her profile is as expected and hoped: chocolatey =D Perfect, I love this strain! Since it's finally getting a bit warmer here, the first fruit flies are showing up. Not in my box yet, but to be on the safe side, I need to go to the garden center tomorrow =D A little update on day 80: She's almost done! A large portion of her trichomes have already turned milky, some amber. I'm a bit surprised, she's quite early in my opinion! I don't like my sativas too heavy. I want to be able to stay active, so I’m harvesting her at about 25-30% amber. Day 81: Today she got her last drink from me. Now she's going to be dried out, as her ripening is progressing very quickly. Day 83: The week is coming to an end. I'm sure she'll be coming down next week!

GreenOrganicGermany And here we go! With day 85, a new week starts, and my excitement is slowly reaching unimaginable heights =D She has developed beautifully and is now beginning the last days of her life. Her trichomes are all milky cloudy, about 25% are amber. She is maturing incredibly fast; I’m checking her trichomes twice a day to hit the perfect moment =D She’s not getting any more water. I almost feel sorry for her seeing her so thirsty. My current conclusion: Excellent! She is fully packed with beautiful, rock-hard buds and has a strong, very chocolatey smell. I’m super excited to finally smoke this stuff =D On days 86 and 87, I only removed a few old and yellowing leaves. And so we come to an end: Day 88 will be her last!

GreenOrganicGermany I'm very satisfied with this run. The chocolate lady didn't give me any problems at all. Before the harvest, I let the lady go a few days without water. When I chopped her, the soil was bone dry in the end. I removed larger leaves, chopped the branches from the main stem, and hung everything up to dry in the box. Wet, the yield totals 734.2 grams.

If little black flies appear around your Plants,,, its not fruitflies, but fungus gnats, called trauermücken in German. get yellowstickers and if it gets worse use nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) Plants look great , nice budsites

GreenOrganicGermany commented4y ago
@Cold_Farmer, is it really that bad for you? I had really bad luck with those pests once, since then I've been very careful. I can only agree with Mrs_Larimar, nematodes keep those critters well in check =D Wow, I'm impressed, already going outside? I'm just germinating my outdoors, they'll go out around mid-May^^ I'll follow you with curiosity =D

Cold_Farmer commented4y ago
@GreenOrganicGermany,@Mrs_Larimar Okay, it's really not warmer for me. You can see a huge difference between indoor and outdoor. Inside they're three times bigger and starting the flowering phase, outside nothing is happening. And these damn pests are annoying. I made the mistake of using good compost soil... nutrient-wise it's great, but in terms of guests, it's lacking. Check out my RQS WW blog.
