Thanks goes out to AMS seeds. Looking forward to getting this strain going. Sure glad tweety didn't eat my seeds.....
Spent the evening cleaning the grow room out from the last run and getting things reorganized. Always a good clean and scrub after each run.
Will be planting the seeds sometime tomorrow. This will be AMS seeds feminized Candy Kush. Will be buffering the PromixHP to 5.8 ph, and getting these seeds in and some warmth to them. Love the new tie I got in the mail...
Feb 24
The babies have all popped up today. Will have some pics up when the light come on tonight.
After the seeds sat in minus 24 weather, all the babies have survived. A.M.S.seeds have some amazingly strong genetics.
Thanks for the looks and likes guys. I always return the appreciation...
Babies are all up and going. Gave them a 400 ppm feed just around the girls at 5.8 ph.
100% success rate on the germination. Planted a little deeper than I normally do as the promix isn't as dense as the old promise. Made sure the seed jackets got pulled off on their way to the surface...
Thanks for the likes and comments. Very appreciated and the appreciation will be returned.
Feb 28
Girls got a 450 ppm 0.9 ec feed today. watered to runoff to get some nutrients into the promix.
AMS Pepe the seed, sent me some nice girls. Their growing nice. Judging a 5 week veg before the light switch. Girls are sitting at 3" under 600 watts of HID blue light at about 18 to 20"
Girls are one week into veg
Upping their feed this week to 500 ppm 1.0 ec and 5.8 ph.
Thanks for the looks friends..
Mar 5th
Fed the ladies today. Upped their feed to 500 ppm 1.0 ec ph'ed at 5.7
First runoff check comes in at 530 ppm 1060 ec. ph was at 5.9.
Next feed will be with a ph of 5.5 or 5.6, just to drop it to 5.8 in the planter.
Raised the lights to 21 inches and increased to 700 watts of hid blue light.
Mar 9
Fed the girls tonight.
upped the nutrients to 550 ppm 1.1 ec of flora nova grow ph'ed at 5.6
runoff came out at 580 ppm 1.160 ec. ph is at 5.8 bouncing 5.9
Thanks to AMS for their great seeds....
Girls are 2 weeks old today and looking very healthy. Starting to branch out now. Another 3 weeks of veg ought to do it, before the switch.
I will be upping their feed this week to 600 ppm 1.2 sec as they took their last increase like champs. Their actually showing a little red/purple in the stems of the leaves, and their not a purple trait plant., so they are asking for more food. Those leaf stems should stay nice and green through veg, as long as they haven't got a natural red/purple in their Gene's.
Stems are starting to thicken, everything is in parameters and growing strong.
Mar 13
Fed the girls tonight.
600 ppm 1.2 ec of floranova grow ph'ed at 5.6
Runoff water ppm was at 650 ppm 1.3 ec and the ph is sitting at 5.9
Mar 17
Fed the girls today.
650 ppm 1.3 ec of floranova grow ph'ed at 5.5
Runoff came out at 680 ppm 1360 ec and the ph was 6.0
Seeing it is hard to get the ph in the planter down, These girls must be eating up their nutrients quickly, and seeing a little red in their leaf stems, They are wanting a little higher of a dose.
Shout out to AMS seeds.
Candy kush seems to be a little lighter of a feeder than the OG kush. slight tip burn on in branch leaves. Og loves where their at.
Mar 21
Gave the girls a 700 ppm feed of floranova grow ph'ed at 5.5
Runoff water came out at 740 ppm 1480 ec.
Plants are starting to explode now. pics coming at the end of their week Friday night.
Girls turned 28 day old today.
They received a feed of 800 ppm 1.6 ec of floranova grow ph'ed at 5.5.
Runoff water came out at 800 ppm 1.6 ec with the ph sitting at 6.0
Likely switching the lights to 12/12 sometime this week.
OG XTRM is not quite as bushy as the Candy Kush, but that was expected. Plants look great..
Thanks for the looks, likes, and comments....👍
Mar 30
Flipped the ladies to 12/12 today as the smallest girl was nearing 18 inches. Others are about 22"
The switch is on. transitioning to flower begins.. 35 days and all is well...
Mar 2
Girls got a feed at 800 ppm of floranova grow, ph'ed at 5.5
Runoff was at 820 ppm and the ph came out at 6.0
All is well...
Mar 5
Fed the girl today. 600 ppm of floranova grow and 240 ppm of floranova bloom ph'ed at 5.6
Runoff comes out at 900 ppm 1.8 ec and the ph is sitting at 6.1
Plants are getting ready to flower soon. preflowers everywhere, and girls are looking very healthy.
Thanks to AMS for proving great genetics and to all the looks and likes from all you great growers...Appreciated very much..
Girls took their feed today.
600ppm floranova grow, 240ppm of floranova bloom for a total of 840 ppm, ph'ed at 5.6
Runoff values are at 920 ppm and the ph is 6.0
April 11
Fed the ladies today. 500 ppm of floranova grow and 340 ppm of floranova bloom for a total of 840 ppm.
Runoff water is sitting at 900 ppm and the ph is at 6.1. Will be changing their status to flower this Friday.
Girls had their first feed of massive bloom formulation today. 300 ppm of Massive, 300 ppm of floranova bloom and 200 ppm of floranova grow for a total of 800 ppm 1.6 ec.
Runoff is coming out at 900 ppm 1.8 ec. Girls are growing very well. Not much time to look after them right now. Big jobs are being done and the cash needed.
One of the Og kush doesn't dry out as fast as the rest so she shows a little sign of over watering. Have not got the time this round to give the girls individual needs, so she gets watered with the rest.
Girls are done their 3rd week of flower and stacking is slowing. Time to start their bulking now.
Thanks goes out to AMS Seeds for their fine genetics. Can't say enough about their strains. These guys know what their doing and they stand behind their products....These girls haven't had the best care this round as I have been very busy, but they thrive anyhow...
Thanks also to all my friends here for their comments and support....
4th week of flower is in, getting closer to harvest time. Girls are mostly happy. The Candy Kush grows good with the nutes I am giving them, the OG Kush are telling me they want a higher ppm. I don't give them extra though. They get the same as the Candy Kush. Fourth week of flower was their first week of bulking instead of stacking. Maybe 3 to 4 weeks to go. All their pistols are still white and vibrant going into their 5th week of flower. That is what I like to see. This means you have not over fed....
Girls are being fed at 840 ppm 6.3 ph. Their last runoff check was at 900 ppm 6.2 ph.
Thanks goes out to AMS Seeds for supplying me with their fine seeds. Northern Lights XTRM and Gelato Xtrm to follow this one... If you have never tried their strains, your in for a treat when you do....
AMS seeds are the greatest genetics I have had the pleasure to grow. Worth their weight in gold...
5th week of flower is in and the girls have some nice big colas going on. Covered in beautiful crystal and most of the girls still have all white pistols, which means their gonna get bigger yet. These girls have had minimal care, as I am a little busy at work. By the time I get home, not feeling like doing much, so the girls get about 5 minutes. With AMS Seeds it doesn't really make a difference. They take the lights the feed and lower humidity very well...Running my RH about 35, highest 40. Buds are pretty big and dense. I don't want to risk bud rot. Figuring hopefully, only 2 more weeks. All grow formula and the massive bloom formulation
has been removed and their running on the flora nova bloom now. Starting to pale in the leaves a little, which is what I was looking for...
Thanks to AMS Seeds for their support and much respect to all my fellow growers, that visit me here....
Into the 7th week of flower and the girls are going strong. All white pistols and the buds keep getting larger and larger. AMS has amazing genetics. These plants grow near the lights and doesn't seem to be detrimental at all. The bud is nearing the size of the MOAB bus, and rock hard buds fill the girls. Makes me happy watching these girls thrive...
Thanks goes out to AMS for their awesome genetics and to all my fellow growers for the comments of support....
AMS put out amazing genetics. Big stinky flowers form from all their strains. The taste of old school you will find here if that's what you seek, or tasty hybrids that grow super bud if you know how to grow... Largest indoor harvest I have ever enjoyed growing out their strains. Can't say enough about the people at AMS seeds. They stand behind their products for sure....
AMS Seeds provided me with a great big harvest with one plant 14 grams over 900 grams and another just under 900 grams...The smell when harvesting was overwhelming for my bud that came in while trimming..
@PremiumBudsEU, Thanks my friend. We Will be enjoying this for quite some time...The only way to get a taste of Amsterdam here in Canada....is to grow yourself...And it's well worth it...👍👍
Really nice again Pal.. so was reading thru the 1st few weeks. When you say you ph'ed to the mid 5. So, with promix, is that not like soil. Only reason I ask. Is I'm using biobizz all mix 40% and light mix 60% (the light is more coco based) so with my GREENHOUSEF synthetic line, it mainly gives a PH of around 6, as its the mineral line, but I PH it to mid 6 as that's what you need to be aiming for with soil. My water is 6.7 so, I thought why not PH the nutrients to that to right? Just, a bit of what you do. As I see, you use a much lower PH and your plants are tops, that's coco levels?? The mid 5s, is that what promix is? Coco based with some nutrients based soil mixed in with perlite and that?
@GMSgrows, yeah, I was thinking that's what you had. (Coco values sub). Great growth. Yeah, cal/mag is a bitch even with biobizz light mix I've had calmag issues early with fems from it. Will definitely having a look at this orange Cross stuff, cheers.
Yeah, I'm not so great at doing all that ppm and run off tests. Too many plants to look after to do that tbh. But, when I find a good strain. I'm gonna do 3-5 seeds, take clones from all. And bring them through veg right up until the mothers are dry and best bud and that. Still trying to find that strain though.. the Super Lemon Haze is my best. But still not what I want. Any suggestions?
Ok..I get you what you mean. Yeah, will have a look for sure at how you do it when I scale things back when I find the 1.
Cheers 🍻
@gottagrowsometime,Thanks bud🙏🙏🙏 Promix HP (orange cross) is a top quality all peat based with plenty of perlite. Just like coco except no need usually for cal/mg like coco. The peat retains it very well., so it is cheaper growing with my setup than coco. It is like coco for values, basically hydroponic rules. With keeping and eye on runoff waters, I never just plain water when I water them, always run enough ppm for the stage their at...I give them enough so that their getting a little flush through every feed. It helps keep the ec from building. If I see it creeping up, the I will ph the water lower the next feed. They get fed every 3 days, whether their dried out or not. Pretty hard to overwater, just like coco. So I maintain the ph and don't let the runoff waters ph go past 6 in veg and 6.2 to 6.3 in flower. To follow this setup, you pretty much need to use my nutrients as any other would cost a fortune to run this way. 1 jug of my stuff last a real long time for a hundred bucks. Very concentrated, looks like mud. Not good for a drip system, that's for sure...
