100% germination put them into their autopots 3 days ago and fed 180 ml to each. Put them right under HLG550 and added tnb naturals co2. Did a foliar feed with velokelp and calmag plus as well as I've been having some issues with seedlings recently getting off to a fast start.
Day 14 , bleached the foliage doin a spray used the wrong bottle again like a dumbass. The stopped growing for a couple days but have seen improvement after last feed
Hooked up the autopots to the res and moved in another hlg550. I usually do lst with the velcro garden tape but it only really works with fabric pots so I been using soft ties for lst, but was a pain in the nutbag so I started doing some more heavy supercropping, defoliation, lolipopping and leaf tucking than I normally would especially cuz I have the extra space from cutting down to 8 plants vs 12 for the autopots. Had to limit the nute reg to the synthetics unfortunately but I might try using the nirvana in late bloom. Today is day 35 from sprout they should start stretching soon.
this grow is goin so bad I'm disconnecting the autopots tmm, handwatering the rest of the way thru, selling the autopots to whoever will havethem and going back to full time hand watering
Just about got things turned around from the ph disaster. Normal rapid growth continued again I got a hanna groline combo tds ph meter for 190 at a local shop saved me 20 bah but the thing is legit just have to keep up with calibrations and storage/cleaning solution. These 3 already stink like diesel cookie batter and arestarting to pack on the frost
These cookies smell strong and are very frosty. I think this strain has great potential for big yields and top shelf buds I just had that ph problem early which threw me off
first 2 harvested yesterday last one has a little longer. Flushing with nectar for the gods herculean harvest and aphrodite extraction. Buds came out great
Despite a rough grow these came out phenomenal. I mixed 1 and 2 up during the trim so idk separate weights but 3 was 130g. Classic gsc smell the 3rd smells the strongest but all the jars stink. Heavy hitting high good for anytime of day. Great strain for all levels I can see this having some serious yield potential with a smooth grow I wish I had more of these seeds but I'm out. Would grow again right now if I could.
Love these buds they are so dense and have great bag appeal. Highly reccomend especially cuz I've seen other peoples come out better than mine did and mine get me ripped up sucka
As you are mentioning the smell: Is it normal that smell changes totally on a plant? I have a northern lights that is partially harvested. During growth the smell was really pleasant. Fresh and piney. Now the buds are dry and are in jars since about five days and the smell is terrible. Hard to describe. It is sour and smells like a mixture of chemicals and cat pee. Any chance this might change again as cure goes on? Thinking about vaping this stinking stuff makes me shiver :(
@DirtBox, my wife mixed her own "super soil". She used some standard soil from discounter and mixed it with mature compost (from last year) from our own garden. The lower third of the pots was mostly pure compost and it got lighter the way up with the top third being a 30/70 mix. That's all. It seems this soil contained sufficient nutrients for the whole plants life. She has been a botanist 30 years ago and says that cannabis does not need really many nutrients and many people are spoiling their harvest by using too many nutrients and it is much safer to go without all this stuff. Even the term "nutrient" is misleading according to her. The only real nutrient a plant needs is LIGHT. Everything else should be considered as vitamins and it does not make sense to add too much of it. Initially I did not believe her, but when looking at the yield I have to confess she seems to be right 😏 She was also using way less water than most other growers I have checked. She does not want any runoff as this would flush the good stuff from the soil. This all only applies when growing in soil of course. A real master will probably use hydroponics and there you need to control every little detail. But with our first grow we wanted to keep everything as simply as possible. If there are too many variables, you cannot learn from your mistakes because you will never know what was wrong.
@@Buddha,
I'd be interested in your organic grow with no fertilizer. It doesn't seem to make sense to me. There had to be npk and micro nutrients in the soil to grow the plants and to me this is regarded as fertilizers. care to elaborate? Were you using a bought complete soil mix or creating your own organic medium.
@Hawkbo, thanks for taking the time to answer a rookie's question! I certainly can rule out nutrients as this was an all organic grow with no fertilizers at all. But heat definitely was an issue as we had temperatures of 29°C to 30°C for several weeks. Humidity was ok however, always in the range of 40% to 50%. Drying definitely was too fast as we had to do it in the grow room with the high temperatures, so it took only 4 or 5 days. While we have a perfect room in our basement (21°C and 50% RH), the smell was not acceptable; we tried it and after 20 minutes the whole house was stinking, so we had to go back to the grow room (the country I'm living in is run by ethanol drinkers). Anyway, out of curiosity I vaped a little bit of the stinking stuff last night and was pleasantly surprised: Not only had the smell improved drastically in just one day, the taste was really good, almost like mint. And the effect also was quite good given that it has been cured for only some days. So I'm confident everything will be fine two or three weeks from now. Thanks again and I'm looking forward to watching more art from you 😉
@PM_ME_YOUR_TREES, It would depend on the price difference and whether or not you care that much about saving a few extra bucks in electricity. I think they ssid the v2s only consume 480w but give you the same coverage and the 1s are somewhere around 520w depending on the driver you use. @timbergrowlights on Instagram just dropped pretty much and identical fixture to the 550 fully assembled for around 700 that uses the same Samsung chips as the v2s maybe that would be your best option cuz if you dont have the tools and hardware to build one it might be like a $50 difference in price overall. Spectrum would depend on what you want to use it for veg or bloom. If you going full bloom 2700k would be my preference, if your going for veg only 4000k if you want to be able to use them for both 3000k or 3500k. If your growing autos only and want to use them for both 3000k because you'll spend more time in bloom than veg. But my 2700k grows my seedlings and young ones perfectly so I dont really see the big deal about it tbh
@Hawkbo, Thanks, lastly, do you think the v2’s are worth as much extra $ as they are? I’m looking to get a couple 550s, should I get different spectrum for both? I haven’t decided on 2700, 3000, 3500, 4000+ etc
@Hawkbo, these here convos is why you're recognised as one of the best mentors in this community man, thanks for being an all round classy gentleman man ! cheers !
oh my the smile on your face when you pull out those drawers haha yeah man great result glad you're smoken it day or night or should i say day and night haha what a strain A+ 🚀
