I soak the seeds in a glass of RO water for abut 4-6 hours followed by an overnight inside a folded damp paper towel in a Tupperware stored on a seed starting mat. The mat is on a timer set to run for 15 minutes on followed by 15 minutes off.
With this method, I've achieved consistent germination 99% of the time within 24 hours.
Moved to 5 gal DWC pots after they had popped out of the rapid rooters for about 24h. For the first 7-10 days I use drip rings to water while the roots make their way out of the netpots to the solution below.
Fantastic progress this week. Lush green growth that stacks rapidly. I don't believe I'll train them as the stalk is already too thick for a significant bend.
White Crack (left) is really beginning to dwarf the Double Grape on the right. Pre-flowering progressing nicely but just airy pisils at this point still. No real budset to speak of. Minor defoliation this week.
Fantastic budset and stacking on White Crack (left in the pictures) who is really quite impressive. She hasn't developed much of a scent by this point but I can tell It will be top notch when she does.
White Crack continues to progress well (to the detriment of her Double Grape tentmate who struggles to compete for light). All in all I'm happy with progress.
Budset continues to impress with this cultivar; she stacks very nicely into uniform colas spanning the vertical length of the upper branching. Already she is starting to show her namesake as she the trichs start to fill out. Her root structure is dense and healthy and she easily drinks 1-1.5 gallon per day.
Getting very close now! I'm thinking she will be ready for the chop within 10 days. She continues to put on weight and her trichs have not gone fully cloudy yet so I'm holding off for now. The smell is skunky with a very deep funk like CDLC... almost unpleasant in a certain way but sure to be fire.
She was ready to come down at day 86. She's been an absolute pleasure to grow. I see why folks in /r/MephHeads seems envious of my running her as apparently this cultivar has not dropped in quite some time.
Top notch cultivar for extraction work. Not my all-time favorite Mephisto strain but she'll definitely make another run in my garden. The dabs give a heady, upbeat high that is good for getting shit done but can give a racy, anxious high if over-indulged.
White Crack was a pleasure to grow and was definitely true to her name. She was dense, frosty, and produces top notch quality dabs. I can't say I had any complaints with this strain. The rosin was a bit waxy and I felt like I left a lot behind on the pucks as she didnt press the oil out far from the bags. That said, she got me through to my next harvest with some great meds, so that's all I care about.
