At the beginning of the week I notice a strange "rust" on one of the colas, just after I performed some defoliation. This problem did not progress during the rest of the week. I am considering the possibility that I accidentally damaged this cola while removing some metallic staples that were used during the training stage. They were pretty oxidized. The plant seems to be doing pretty well.

I have realized a sudden change in one of the colas, as you can see in the pictures, the newer leaves seem to have a problem. Can somebody recognize the issue? Help :(

Hi there physicist, so i see you're on quite an "intense" light schedule. so what happens is the plant uses more Mg to regulate photosynthesis and what you're seeing now is a Mg deficiency. You can probably double or even triple your calmag , just reduce your N by a corresponding amount. If you do this the problem should stop spreading. You can also make a calmag spray 1mL/L twice a week because absorption is better through the leafs. If it keeps getting worse and you're already doing this , the only way is to lower the light schedule. But normally it should recover. Hope this helps ! 🚀

I would do what gmslave said and check your runoff to see what your medium is doing.

How often are you feeding your ladies with 750 rpm? Once, twice a week or more. if it is more you likely have some lockout happening. Check your runoff waters ph and ec and make sure each one is in the proper parameter for a soil grow. To high or low on ph can cause lockout and to high an ec can cause lockout

Hey there, hope i answered your question, anything else you need just let me know 👊

@physicist, off the top of my head i think calmag, bioheaven and activera might all have magnesium. you should be watering with water around 6.0 pH btw. just dial all that in ... you might want to flush with only top max (which should be humic acid , but double check) to get rid of the surplus nutrients

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks! Indeed i added Calmag a few weeks ago since some leaves shown some sign of Mg defficiency. Maybe now there is too much since tap water should contain a fair amount. I'll try to not use Calmag for the next waterings to see if it solves the issue.

@physicist, good question, only long answers for it though : basically it's still Mg related but now i'm less sure it's not an excess. Check your nutrients, calmag is a micronutrient , mg is a micronutrient, so look to see if you're giving several different types of micronutrients, what i can see is you're probably giving three different products with Mg, so it really might be a Mg excess, which is actually a pretty huge problem... DM me once you check i'll walk you through it 👊
