This one popped in the paper towel... totally ejected the seed casing. I immediately put it in a 1 gallon airpot which will be the final place. Learned my lesson last time attempting a transplant...
Seems to be a bit slower than Beary White, despite the fact the seed germinate with sheer force in the paper towel!
Raised the lights 4" to get a bit more stretch.
She's a little smaller than Beary White but looking really healthy.
Watered once last week. Will probably only water once again but with more days in between...
I was watering once every 4 days but I think every 5 is better at this size.
She's starting to drink water faster so I'll be increasing the watering frequency to about 500mL every 2.5 days.
I will also begin light feeding this week (1/4 strength).
She’s got a little deficiency popping up, gonna lightly feed tomorrow and adjust ph so hopefully that takes care of it.
Good growth last week, with a height gained of about 2.5". Feeding 1/4" strength nutes has begun.
I water with ~6.6 PH and feed with about 7.2 PH. My reasoning is that the Big Bloom nutrients seem to lower the soil PH significantly over time and if the feed is below 7PH then the soil drops out way to low causing lock out. At least that's what I think was happening to my last grow.
Starting some early flowers. Lots of bottom growth which looks like it will fill out nicely! I need to decide which bottom stems to axe and which ones to nurture.
Will continue veg nutes this week.
She's definitely in flower mode now. I think she'll end up being a bigger yielder than the BW. Again, I wish I had LST'd these ladies from the get go...got scared of the spacing from the previous grow.
So far so good, there is some slight nute burn on the tips of the leaves. I'm going to replace one feed with a watering this week just to back off a bit.
Got new quantum boards from HLG and they're are bright AF! Curious to see how well they help the density of the flowers compared to the blurple light. Also, these lights work so much better for pictures!
Got busy with work and missed a few weeks to update. Started flushing her last week, plan on chopping her down in about 4 days. She's packed on a nice healthy amount in the last week so I'm thinking she'll yield ~1/4 oz more than the Beary White. Planning on this being a couch lock sedative batch, so I'm letting the Trichs get a bit more amber than normal.
Update 9/16/18: one last flush today, gonna chop her down tomorrow evening!
She was really resistant to any sort of environmental changes or lack of water. Rarely ever looked droopy or shocked... I think she’s responded well to the lighting change at pre flower. I changed from Mars Hydro 300 to two HLG QB120s. Much brighter but also rubs a bit warmer than the Mars Hydros.
@bobo420, agree! I just realized I confused my comment with the Beary White. The Kush is still stretching everyday...went from 8" to 12" in like 6 days lol!
Loving my new lights and I'm curious how it will affect the bud density since the Kush is just starting flower on the new lights (vegged in blurple). The Beary White flowering mostly happened under blurple so not sure the new lights will have much impact this late into flowering... Unfortunately, I can't operate them at max because of the heat and I don't have a dedicated AC to bring down the temps.... sucks because the brightness from 75% to max is significant (so is the temp). 😐
