I was surprised to find the PH Perfect do better in DWC than coco. Plants were fed 700ppm most of their life. This proved to be too low. But adding more means costing more too. Once both bottles were finished, I went back to old faithful. GH FloraNova grow.
I found the AN products very expensive for the results obtained.
My only complaint about FloraNova grow. Is the lack of Magnesium in the mix. Plants tend to grow a little on the pale side.
Adding epsom to the water mix to 70ppm then topping off to 750ppm with nova grow works like magic.
This was fed to 4 plants from a young age to harvest.
I have about 8 LED Phlizon lights. I prefer the 600 to the 1000 for cost, and not burning the plants. You want more PAR put them closer, you're tight on space in a tent, turn down the control...I also have 2 Mars Hydros T1000's, good lights but not better value compared to the Phlizons.
I own 2 Vivosun tents. a 2X4 and a 4X4.
What I like about them is the zipper quality and panel (window) placement.
They're very well made, and easy to open side panels for watering.
The frame is very well made, easy to assemble and great options for ventilation at several ports.
I wanted original Deadlights from NorStar not some immitation.
4 plants were grown, 2 in coco (females), 2 in DWC, one turned hermie without reason, the other was a very healthy male.
Now that the pollen has been collected and the females are being flipped to 12-12.... the seed run should be just as plesant an experience.
If I had to advise someone on growing these plants. It would be to start with fresh seeds. Fresh always makes healthy seedlings and eventually big health adults.
Growing this strain was quite easy in terms of feed, lighting, enviroment etc..I blame the stunted growth in the coco because of a calcium def'c and wrong PH when the coco was first prepared.
Once this was corrected with a PH flush, the plants regained their vigor and grew normally.
