GrowmieDeLaStreet First week of learning. The pH of the reservoir fluctuates a lot during the first 48 hours, so I need to plan the water changes in advance to let it stabilize. I thought I could put it in the system way too early, and it quickly started showing signs of deficiency. I put it back in the dome while continuing to water it every day with the solution, waiting for the roots to come out a bit more. I even colored the bottom of the shot glass I use to support the plug to block the light and protect the young roots. The glass ensures they aren't crushed by the weight of the plug. After a few days, the leaves turned green again. I can't wait to see the long roots coming out of the NetPot.

GrowmieDeLaStreet The plant is now in the system for good. I'm having trouble with the water temperature, which is way too high, making the environment conducive to bacteria growth. To solve the problem, I tried covering the bucket with a blanket to isolate it from the rest of the tent, which is warmer. I also extended the air pump tubes to put it outside so it can take in the cooler outside air. It only dropped by 1°C, so I'm going to try removing the reflective layer from the bottom so the bucket has better contact with the cooler floor. I'm also going to freeze some water bottles and put them in the reservoir for a few minutes to cool the water from time to time. I'm also adding enzymes that are supposed to help with the bad bacteria. The reservoir was filled with smelly crap, and the plant suffered a bit from this issue. I hope it doesn't continue.

GrowmieDeLaStreet Everything to make me a liar. Last week I said she was in the hydroponic system for good, but fuck that, there are too many problems. The roots turned black and gelatinous, and the water kept stinking like hell, even with the new techniques. The last thing I could have tried was adding a filter to the system that would remove the crap as it went along, but I figured it was too complicated for just one plant. I really wonder if it's just the water temperature that's the problem. So I transplanted her into soil, and she already seems to be doing much better. A homemade mix: 5% Ash, 5% coffee grounds, 5% compost, 30% perlite, 55% soil. I added a lot of perlite to have a very airy and porous mix for good drainage.

GrowmieDeLaStreet Not many photos this week, I've been out of the house a lot. I have someone taking care of it when I'm not around. Still no nutrients other than the Roots Excelurator. I'll give it some next week, but the soil is still rich enough for now. She's recovering well from her habitat change. I'm going to top her too, but I'm waiting for the tip I'm going to cut to be long enough to be transplanted and make a clone.

GrowmieDeLaStreet She has grown tall enough for me to top her. I planted the cutting in a Jiffy pellet soaked in a solution with Roots Excelurator. I also added rooting powder in addition to scorching and cutting at 45. She is now in the dome. I gave nutrients to my plant that was starting to need them. I'm still going with Fred T. Lizer because I still have a lot left. With now 2 plants, I want to try making feminized seeds. I'm going to buy colloidal silver and spray the clone when everything is stabilized. I can put my other plant outside until I've harvested the pollen from the clone and then bring the other plant in and dust some flowers with the pollen.

GrowmieDeLaStreet The big plant is doing super well and reacted beautifully to the topping. I gave it another more concentrated feeding to help it out, and I started LST on the pretty big branches. I also removed a few leaves for better airflow. The clone is doing well too and is managing to survive despite its tips starting to yellow. I keep the jiffy well-watered and I’m staying patient. I continue to give the Roots Excelurator because I have a large quantity to use up, and during the vegetative stage, it can't hurt. I'm talking about the big plant, of course, I’m also giving it to the clone. For now, I’m only giving that, but I might need to start giving it a low concentration of nutes. It still has some leaves that need it. Not counting the DWC part at the beginning, this run is going much better than the last one.

GrowmieDeLaStreet I feel like the plants are starting to flower, but they're not autoflowering and I haven't changed the light schedule. I have the impression that stabilizing the clone will take longer than I thought. It took a nasty hit, but it has new roots growing, so I know it's still alive. It seems to have the same kind of early flowering as the mother. I transplanted it into a bigger pot and I'm waiting for it to have noticeable growth before preparing it for feminization. I increased the nutrient dose to 3ml/L; I found the TDS a bit low and the plant a bit too pale. A bit more defoliation to let more light through to the bottom. The smell is really strong and we're not even in flowering yet. I'm going to let the enzymes do their thing next week; it seems like they lower the soil pH if I use them every week. I test the runoff with every watering and I'm managing to keep the soil between 6.2 and 6.6.

GrowmieDeLaStreet She's definitely flowering now, so too bad, I've switched for good to the lights on 12/12. I estimate I'm on day 14 of flowering based on my previous grows. I'll update last week's diary but only the stage and not the condition values. I got rid of the clone that was just getting worse even with the best care. The feminized seeds will be for another time. The nutrients have stayed boosted now that I know why she seemed to be lacking, and I've started giving carbohydrates and PK Bloom. I didn't give any enzymes this week, so I was able to add H202. I also stopped the roots excelurator.

GrowmieDeLaStreet I started giving some Big Bud that I had left over from previous runs. The buds are starting to swell and they smell great in the tent. It's a shame that they started flowering too early, but I still think I'll have a good yield. I occasionally give plain water. I always analyze the runoff and make sure it's not too high.

GrowmieDeLaStreet Nothing special to note, she keeps growing well. The smell is increasingly lemony and the colors are starting to turn yellow and purple. I still have some Overdrive from Advanced Nutrients left, and I will definitely start using it in 2 weeks.

GrowmieDeLaStreet Everything is going well in the best of worlds. I often leave the house and I have someone to take care of it, but I don't trust them with the nutrients, so they only give water while I'm away. The fade continues, but it's still too early for my taste.

GrowmieDeLaStreet I've fallen behind on the diary because I've been busy with other things, the plant is lacking a bit of attention too but it's still doing well. I've started the Overdrive and the colors are turning purple and yellow.

GrowmieDeLaStreet Still not much attention, but the flowers keep growing without any issues. Same nutrient recipe as last week and the last week before the flush.

GrowmieDeLaStreet QCS disappoints me once again. It was tested at 12% instead of the +20% indicated on the site. The buds were oozing resin at the end and I’m not sure what that’s due to. I let them flower for 9 weeks, 65 days, and the trichomes still appeared clear.
