I'm in love with cloning in cups of water. Anyone who thinks you need all this expensive, fancy gear to clone is crazy! Its as simple as a cutting, some rooting hormone, water, a cup and a window(or light). Its not 100% but no method really is. Watch your water, keep it reasonably clean, and when you can avoid clear cups (algae build up yuck). I recently lost a lot of photos during a storage purge...so bear with me on any gaps. Happy Growing everyone

Whoo...a little messy the beginning of this grow...but bare with me. I let the plant be in the window for a bit and it totally started to flower on me! What a weird shape it has now.. This Cherry Punch is just delicious and wonderful, its one of my favorite strains right now. And she definitely gets a place in my permanent plant heart and line-up. Mars hydro sp6500, 2x4x6 grow tent. What life savers these have been. I love the quiet zippers...why is that so important to me? No idea, but it is one of my favorite qualities of this tent.

Ok wow what a difficult start to a grow. You don't think about how much a plant going into flowering can set you back when you need to reveg it to even really get started. Lack of light can be a huge problem. Being that the days are longer now I really didn't expect letting a plant be in the window so briefly would trigger flowering...but a good learning experience. Typically I would have them under a temporary veg light, but there's only so much room. So for now its the Hurry Up And Wait game. I also made a significant mistake when moving her to her permanent home in the 2x4x6 growtent. I went to change my timer to be 18 hours on 6 hours off...and I totally did the opposite! So for two days she only got 6 hours of light! Omg! Someone send me to grower school cause I am making some stupid mistakes! From the low light she did get a bit of leaf yellowing, but fortunately Once I got everything corrected her green color came back and she bounced back. I also noticed that she was feeling not so secure in her cup so I added extra soil and pressed the soil down to get her more upright and secure. She's now happier and healthier in her comfortable tent and with the proper lighting from the Mars Hydro SP6500, I kept the % down a bit still and will ramp it up slowly. Happy growing all.

I love cherry punch its an amazing strain, and I don't want to lose her, but I had a bit of bad luck when I had some garlic and strawberry roots from the garden store nearby....they ended up giving me spider mites. So now all my photoperiod plants have been quarantined and received a variety of mite treatments which made them very unhappy and unhealthy looking. This plant is still in recovery mode. Basically I panicked and started to look into every mite treatment available. However with that was probably a few treatments that were too hard on the plants. I tried, an alcohol spray, a insecticidal soap spray(homemade not store bought, Doktor Doom. Eventually they did seem to work and kill off the S.M, but it took several applications and variety. But they're on the mend and thats the best I can hope for. Grown with Mars Hydro SP6500 LED and 2x4x6 Grow Tent.
