Firstly a big thanks to the “selection committee” for my participation in this event 😂🌱🌿 and to the guys at RQS Spain for the amazing package I received 👍😍 Secondly a big thanks for the likes, views, comments and interactions, I’m still in the early stages of my foray here but appreciate it all the same! 340+ 👍 so thanks…… So my setup this time round is the same, 2x2x5 by spider-farmer with the intelligent fan to go with it, I know 6 inch is overkill but I do plan on upgrading my tent and light in the future, the light I’m running is the XS1500 from Viparspectra, it’s a perfect light for my tent. I have a 6” oscillation fan from ram. Soil is a Biobizz light mix/perlite/vermiculite mix at a ratio of 70/15/15 and I will be adding the easy boost supplied by RQS to this mix when I prepare the soil in a few days time, I will also be using the 1 15L fabric pot supplied by RQS for this grow. I shall be using all other RQS grow accessories supplied for this grow 🤞👍🌱🌿 5 April: Started 24hr seed soak 6 April: Used an Easy Start chamber that was also supplied by RQS, after mixing the pre supplied bacto pack in 1L of water and pre soaking the pot I popped in my seed and put it in a germination chamber and have left it now in the dark until I start to hopefully see life so 🤞 7 April: Noticed the seed had broke surface, 2 days and I’ll plant into final pot 😊 9 April: Stem is around 5cm with husk still attached, I have mixed in with around 20L of Biobizz light mix soil the 100g of Boost supplied for this grow by RQS and 5L of Vermiculite/Perlite mix (this is a mix for 2 pots) and filled the 15L RQS fabric pot 3/4 of the way to the top with this mix and then topped the rest of the pot of with the Biobizz light mix (yes I’m high and going into extreme detail for some reason). I then transplanted the Fat Banana seedling into this pot which I had sprayed a few times around the planting area with distilled water, the root of which was fantastic, I did bury about 2cm of the stem into the dirt but I’m not bothered about that. I coved the seedling with a plastic bottle bottom and and then watered 250ml of distilled water that was at a ph of 6.50 and 6.64 (2 electric sticks for a better average) around the bottle and then stuck my Viparspectra Xs1500 lights on to around 40% at 26 inches and will now wait until the cotyledons have fully emerged and the 1st set of leaves are visible and I can call time on a successful germination 😊👍🌱 11 April: fully germinated, have removed the bottles, have set my fan to turn on every 15 minutes on the hour, have set the spider-farmer intelligent fan to kick in at 82f and 80% rh, I have set my light now to 60% and is at 25inch from seedling, I watered an extra 250ml water just to finish the week off 🌱👍

I have a 2x2x5 spider farmer tent with 1 passive inlet vent that is always a 1/4 open My spider farmer intelligent fan is set at 82f and rh @ 65 for veg, I have a 6” fan set to go off every 15 minutes on the hour and have a personal mist humidifier that keeps the rh at a nice level anyway during this stage. My Viparspectra xs1500 was set at 26” at the beginning of the week at 60% and will change height at the start of every week unless change is needed. 11-14 April: Important 1st few days and I’m working so I can only water/feed and allow the intelligent fan to do what it’s supposed to do. 15 April: Day temp 78f - rh 62 - night temp 62f 16 April: Day temp 80f - rh 58 - night temp 66f 17 April: Day temp 76f - rh 61 - night temp 63f 18 April: Day temp 77f - rh 63 - night temp 64f My feeding pattern is feed/water/dry day…repeat So this brown booster tablet which does 3-5 litres I have equally divided into 4 and will use 1 quarter per litre until flowering following my feeding schedule. Lights on 8am Lights off 2am Water/feed time 8:30am/9:30am Thanks for stopping by! *update April 19: after properly reading up on the RQS booster tablets and and easy plus tablets I found it advisable to carry on using normal products along with these items…😕😂 always read carefully

Day 10 I started to use the easy plus supplied by RQS, have noticed in the past few days that my intelligent fan doesn’t seem to be turning off in auto on the settings I have pre-installed, I did do a full tent move about on day 11 so I maybe could of done something then? hope this doesn’t turn into a long term issue, however fat banana is starting to grow nicely 🌱👍 I have a 2x2x5 spider farmer tent with 1 passive inlet vent that is always a 1/4 open My spider farmer intelligent fan is set at 80f and rh @ 60 for veg, I have a 6” fan that was set to go off every 30 minutes for 30 minutes on the hour during daylight hours and once for 30 mins every 90 mins during dark hours, that has changed slowly during the week to a point where yesterday I turned on constant during daylight hours and still at 30 mins every 2 hrs during the night and I am still using the personal mist humidifier that keeps the rh at a nice level anyway during this stage… My Viparspectra xs1500 was set at 22” at the beginning of the week at 60% this has changed throughout the week and is now set at 19” and around 87% My feeding pattern has been feed/water/dry day…repeat at 250ml Lights on 8am Lights off 2am Water/feed time 8:30am/9:30am *update 29th April: I have stopped using the Biobizz products in this grow, after properly reading up on all RQS products supplied and realising I’ve already mixed the easy boost pellets in the soil I’ve no need to use these products…hopefully this hasn’t affected my grow thus far, I don’t see any deficiencies as yet and don’t seem to be in a bad shape, she’s actually the tallest plant so far I’ve had in this stage 🤞

So after my 29th April update last week, I have only given ph’d water, I do have some nutrient burn but hoping that I can sort this out over the next few days, it’s my 1st issue I’ve had but my own doing due to giving too many nutrients as not reading properly. In a way am pleased because I won’t be making that mistake again. I did take a couple of huge fan leaves off that I considered “light blocking” on day 18 and she seems to have recovered well. Other than that it has been a good week.

A strong week, some excellent growth, been watering 1L every couple days using the boosters supplied by RQS, was glad to start using the bloom, have decided with this grow just to lightly defoliate, will let the fat banana just grow, will decide about more heavy defoliation in a few weeks. The nute burn I encountered was very displeasing to the eye so those leaves went…no new deficiencies have formed on new leaves so that was my mistake. I’ve lowered the light now down to between 16-14 inches and it is now on full beams for flowering.

Again just a bit of defoliation this week allowing light to penetrate, I upped the water intake to 1.5L every 2 days with a dry day in between, I haven’t fed this way before but fat banana seems to like it. There are no more deficiencies that I can see and most of the burned leaves have no disappeared. She’s started to bush out and I think she’s hit her height.

Playing catch-up here because my phone has been in the repair shop…3 weeks behind updating, I have photos documenting my week but other than some defoliation for light penetration and watering every 2 days…..I can’t really tell much!……oh I did find a double headed cola which I got well excited about 😂

Again playing catch-up on 3 weeks whilst my phone has been in the repair shop, so this week I remember I had to take the intake fan out the small tent, the other plant got too big, I upped the water to 2L, again fed every 2 days using the RQS products supplied. It was this week fat banana started to show trichomes on her leaves and untelling aromas started to come from this plant, the double headed cola on this plant is just 🤤

That's a lovely fat banana you've got there! 😋 I'm also waiting for mine to sprout. Good luck on your last month of flower! Looks like she's gonna grow some dense fat buds 🍌
