nothing much to say, the critical and the new lemon seedling are doing fine, while the defective one is not putting on any height. I covered its stem because it looked weak, I'll keep it as long as it survives

Hey should I have 2 separate diaries, one for each single strain? Initially I wanted to do one diary for each year, but then remembered I have different strains and that the diary is also made to track each strain separately. Thanks

So my 1 week plant just folded on itself like it snapped. Never seen this happen before. I propped it up and hope it recovers. Any reason why it did that?

Give it a chance to come back to life if not just start over. That happens when over watering or not enough water also very high/low RH is no good for them. When they seedlings its like real babies u have to be on top of them . Good luck ๐Ÿ‘

So this rqs Lemon seed during germination came out with the leaves first, so I removed the seed shell to uncover the roots, because I didnโ€™t know if planting it anyway wouldโ€™ve been good. Now itโ€™s been 20 days and itโ€™s still so small. Will it make it?

I'm going to be honest here and say it doesn't look really good... and I think you'll have to give up on her. But let me tell you some of the things you might want to do differently next time. First of all, try a different germination method. I know a lot of people germinate as you've done but I happen to like simply putting my seed in the soil, giving it a bit of a drink to moisten the soil around and under it (I've even been known to completely SOAK the pot of soil before putting in the seed since then I know I won't have to water the seedling for at LEAST a week but by the time it germinates, the soil is damp enough to sustain the seedling). I then cover the pot with something light cannot penetrate (a pot saucer? a cookie sheet? a pan lid?). I then cover all of that with a plastic bag to keep all the moisture inside... and I don't open it up for at least 3 days at which point they've just popped or are about to pop (if they haven't popped, they get covered back up for another day until they DO pop... and unfortunately, not all of them do). Now, the reason I like this so much better is because I am not running the risk of damaging the tender sprout when I have to take it from that glass of water and stick it in soil... it's already there and as SOON as that tap root emerges, it's "feeding" itself. Next up is a confirmation of what you already know... they don't like to be drowned with too much water around the roots - but they DO need high humidity because this is actually how they get their water at the very beginning... not so much from the roots! Some people will place clear plastic domes over their seedlings to preserve the humidity... me, I do things again just a little differently... I don't want to run the risk of mold at this stage (or any!) and so good air movement is also quite important. To strike the balance, I take a small towel or washcloth or a bunch of paper towels and soak them in water and encircle the seedling so that there is good humidity around it - but the top is still open and fresh air is still getting to it. One of the things I saw in your diary was that your humidity level was terribly low... you need to maintain at least 60-65% humidity during the vegetative stage! When your plants get large enough so they don't need the micro-zone of humidity the sprouts need and yet your tent isn't humid enough, just hang wet towels inside your tent and that should raise the overall humidity level to where it's good... Finally, your plants need a lot more light than the 13 hours you're giving them... If they're autoflowers, they can and DO tolerate 24/7 light... Most people, however, have found 18/6 to be ideal and this is perfect for photoperiods until you want to flip them to flower. I don't know what got into me... I've been rambling on and on but I hope there's at least something is some of what I've said that will be of some help. It's terribly discouraging to have some seeds and imagine a great harvest only to have the seedlings die off or not even germinate (please do know, not all of them do)... So take what you like from what I've said, try it out, and pitch the rest of what I've said! Good luck... and if you need clarification on anything I've yabbered on about, just msg me!

Edges of leaves burned, they dry and crumble. Reasons?

This could be down to the environment. While seedlings they take in moisture through the leaves. With your humidity outside being so low is probably causing the leaves to dry out. I try and keep mine inside until after they have finished seedling stage.
