Grow# 34 - Auto Ghost Cookies #1

Welcome back fellow growers, as we kick off the start of another grow. For this grow I decided to help celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Original Sensible Seeds and decided to go with their Auto Ghost Cookies. It's a cross of Girl Scout Cookies x Auto Blueberry x Ghost OG, which sounds quite delicious, it's supposed to have a harvest time of 70-75 days from seed, and a THC level of 20%. This will be my first time growing anything from this company so I'm really excited to see how it turns out. Now before I get started with the germination process down below will be a list of the equipment I'll be using : AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T4, Quiet 4” Inline Duct Fan with Temperature Humidity Controller AC Infinity CLOUDLAB 642 Advance Grow Tent, 4x2 AC Infinity RAXIAL S4, Inline Booster Duct Fan 4” with Speed Controller AC Infinity Flexible 4-Inch Aluminum Ducting, Heavy-Duty Four-Layer Protection, 8-Feet Long VIVOSUN 300W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum with Double Switch VIPARSPECTRA P1000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light AC Infinity Air Carbon Filter 4" General Hydroponics pH Control Kit General Hydroponics FloraBloom 0-5-4 General Hydroponics FloraMicro 5-0-1 General Hydroponics FloraGro 2-1-6 Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus 2-0-0 Fox Farm Happy Frog Organic Potting Soil Mix Pro Cal 1.7-Gallon Premium Nursery Pot 3 x 6-inch 2-Speed Desk Fan with Clip and Fully Adjustable Tilt Vicks Filter-Free Cool Mist Humidifier Ruolan PH Meter On March 27th I placed the Auto Ghost Cookies in a glass of water to start the germination process, I then let the seed soak for 18-hours. On March 28th I placed the seed inside of a jiffy pellet which was then placed in a humidity dome inside of my tent. After about 72-hours the seed had finally made it above the soil. Even though the seed was above the soil it wasn't quite ready to start counting days yet in my opinion. I officially started Day 1 on April 4th, this is when the true leaves were truly visible. Since then I've been keeping the topsoil moist with a spray bottle, giving the young seedling only ph water. After the first 7-days, I must say things are looking good, and hopefully, it can stay that way. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Back for another update on the Auto Ghost Cookies #1. Really hasn't been much to do at this point but keep the environment in check and water when dry. Of the three plants, I'm growing of this strain this one looks the best and is also growing the best. Going to start feeding and LST in Week 3 for this plant. After a very long and busy week, I finally made time to update my Growdiaries family about what's been going on in the garden. This week I finally gave her a nutrient feeding, and so far so good. I decided to go down on the amount of nutrients compared to what I normally do because I would always get some light nutrient burn, so we'll see how the new measurements turn out. I also noticed she was showing sex so I decided it would be a perfect time to see how tall she is before she starts to flower, and it turns out as of now she is 7" inches tall. I planned on doing some LST but the stems of the plant are already pretty stiff, so that won't be happening. Also like last year around this time, the temp going up is affecting the temp in the grow tent which went up to 83°F this week, I've been looking for a good oscillating fan while waiting for AC Infinity to release theirs. Another week down and boy how things can suddenly change. Since last week this lady has started flowering basically overnight it seems like, normally this wouldn't be an issue but in this case, the plant had too much nitrogen in the soil and is now clawing 😭. Going to change the regiment around for the next feeding but until then she'll be getting just water to help flush some of the nitrogen out of the soil. Back for another update on the Auto Ghost Cookies #1 and things are still going good with this, over the last few weeks I've been dealing with some heat issues from the temperature, to the plants growing too close to the lights but this one seems just fine and right on schedule. You can see the effect of the heat stress but it's minor compared to the others in the tent. Got some beautiful trichomes coming in along with a wonderful smell. Not a bad strain as far as growing, my setup just got extremely hot and was causing damage to the plant. Even though this happened and affected the overall growth of the plant it still had a yield of 23.4 grams dry, so not bad for a plant in a 1.7-gallon pot that went through a lot of stress. I probably could have let it go a little longer, but I couldn't risk more damage being done to the plant.
