Grow# 37 - Auto Mimosa Cake

Welcome back fellow growers, as we kick off the start of another grow. For this grow I decided to go with the company I trust the most, FastBuds, but this time I went with the only strain I haven't grown from their previous release ( Not the strains they just released), which is Auto Mimosa Cake. This is a fast flowering and massive producer Sativa-dominant hybrid, this strain reaches around 130cm and can yield up to 550gr/m2, rewarding growers with extremely resinous buds in 63 days. This strain also offers a strong and well-defined fruity aroma that comes along with an extreme sweetness and earthiness, and thanks to the insane 24% THC, provides a strong head buzz with and a faint yet still pleasurable corporal relaxation. Now before I get started with the germination process down below will be a list of the equipment I'll be using : AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T4, Quiet 4” Inline Duct Fan with Temperature Humidity Controller AC Infinity CLOUDLAB 642 Advance Grow Tent, 4x2 AC Infinity RAXIAL S4, Inline Booster Duct Fan 4” with Speed Controller AC Infinity Flexible 4-Inch Aluminum Ducting, Heavy-Duty Four-Layer Protection, 8-Feet Long VIVOSUN 300W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum with Double Switch VIPARSPECTRA P1000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Light AC Infinity Air Carbon Filter 4" General Hydroponics pH Control Kit General Hydroponics FloraBloom 0-5-4 General Hydroponics FloraMicro 5-0-1 General Hydroponics FloraGro 2-1-6 Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus 2-0-0 Fox Farm Happy Frog Organic Potting Soil Mix Pro Cal 1.7-Gallon Premium Nursery Pot 3 x 6-inch 2-Speed Desk Fan with Clip and Fully Adjustable Tilt Vicks Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier Ruolan PH Meter On March 30th I placed the Auto Mimosa Cake in a glass of water to start the germination process, I then let the seed soak for 18-hours. On March 31st I placed the seed inside of a jiffy pellet which was then placed in a humidity dome inside of my tent. After about 72-hours the seed had finally made it above the soil. Even though the seed was above the soil it wasn't quite ready to start counting days yet in my opinion. I officially started Day 1 on April 5th, this is when the true leaves were truly visible. SInce then I've been keeping the top soil moist with a spray bottle, giving the young seedling only ph water. After the first 7-days I must say things are looking good, but I have noticed some yellowing just like my Auto Ghost Cookies #3. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Back for another update on the Mimosa Cake Auto. Really hasn't been much to do at this point but keep the environment in check and water when dry. Water her too soon this week and now she's showing the effects of it. I'm certain she'll be fine though. Well, that's going to be all for this week so until next time fellow growers, and remember ... After a very long and busy week, I finally made time to update my Growdiaries family about what's been going on in the garden. This week I noticed she was showing sex so I decided it would be a perfect time to see how tall she is before she starts to flower, and it turns out as of now she is 9" inches tall. I planned on doing some LST but the stems of the plant are already pretty stiff, so that won't be happening. Also like last year around this time, the temp going up is affecting the temp in the grow tent which went up to 83°F this week, I've been looking for a good oscillating fan while waiting for AC Infinity to release theirs. Still haven't made it around to giving her any nutrients yet either maybe next week. Well, that's going to be all for this week so until next time fellow growers, and remember ... Another week down and boy how things can suddenly change. Since last week this lady has started flowering basically overnight it seems like, normally this wouldn't be an issue but in this case, the plant had too much nitrogen in the soil and is now clawing 😭. Going to change the regiment around for the next feeding but until then she'll be getting just water to help flush some of the nitrogen out of the soil. Here for another update on the Mimosa Cake Auto. This lady has been through the heat and nitrogen toxicity, but still growing strong and smelling good. I know next time to do some LST to prevent the plant from getting so tall, which will prevent it from being so close to the light. Despite all the issues, this lady has some crazy trichome production going on pretty early into flower, this one might get real frosty before it's all said and done. The plant started out fine but then took a turn, having problems with the heat and nitrogen toxicity. I need the grow early to make sure I wouldn't lose any yield, even with the difficulties this lady ended up bringing in 31.2 grams dry. I definitely want to give this strain another go but with better conditions and a bigger pot.
