First Grow - Pineapple Kush

Setting up the grow room, got my seeds all set for germination. I am germinating 5 seeds and my hope is to get 3 full plants by the end of this grow. It should be clear to anyone that watches this progress that I am learning as I go. My goal at the end of this is to have 3oz of dried bud between the 3 full plants. We will see what plants survive my general lack of knowledge. Day 1 - Seed has been put into germinate in a jiffy pellet. Setup should be complete tomorrow, Day 5 - She has stuck her head out to say hello. I noticed that the heat in the tent got warm this morning with the lights on. I put an intake fan on the tent to hopefully cool it down and opened the door for 10 minutes twice to bring it back down. I have bought another extractor fan as the one I have is only 100cfm, adding a 2nd fan should hopefully help out a bit. The room I have the tent in is 19 degrees. Day 6 - Vented the extractor fan for my tent to the outside. It has helped keep the tent 3 degrees cooler. Once I get the larger fan into the tent I expect the temperature to drop by about 5 degrees. My little girl is looking healthy and not only has she gotten a bit taller, but her leaves have doubled in size. She is still the only one of the 5 to show her face thus far. Day 7 - The 2 new leaves she has have gotten bitter than the first two. She hasn't grown much in height, but has grown out quite a bit.

Day 8 - 2 new leaves have started to sprout from her. Spent my morning already starting to plan my next grow. This seems like it might become an addictive hobby. Day 9 - Hard to notice any growth overnight, but there is a bit more space between the 2 sets of lower leaves. The top has started to open up a bit as well. Day 10 - She is looking a bit bigger all around. Though she isn't growing up as much as she is growing out. She is now the shortest of my plants. Day 11 - Some good growth on her overnight. Her leaves are getting fuller and she had a bit of a growth spurt overnight. Decided to feed my ladies today, they each got their first drink of nutrients along with 500ml of water. Day 12 - The water I put on her last night dried out leaving some rinks on her leaves. She is growing leaves underneath and on top now. She is my fattest plant by a mile so far. Given how thick she is I have decided to name her Siri. Day 13 - Woke up to Siri having some small rust spots on her 2 lower leaves. I noticed them the first two days, but they went away. They are now back and slightly worrisome. It could be a PH issue, or a nutrient deficiency. I plan to water her again tomorrow,so I will take a soil sample and measure the PH level. Day 14 - I decided to flush Siri last night and put some more PH'd water into her pot. I will see if she starts to recover. I also went out and bought some calcium/magnesium today and if she continues to struggle I will give her some in the next 48 hours. Even with the issue she is still growing.

Day 15 - Siri continues to be a thick girl. She is only 2 inches tall and has not shown much in the way of height. Her bottom leaves are showing rust all over, I gave all my plants some extra water today with calcium in it. I also managed to break my ph meter, so I ordered another. I am hoping that she turns it around. Day 16 - Still growing, but the necrosis is getting worse. I added some CAMG+ last night in hopes that things turn around. Now all of my girls look sick. Their leaves aren't as perked up as normal. I think it may be due to over watering at this point. Going to ask around to see what can be done to fix it at this point. Day 17 - She is looking worse, not sure what to do at this point. I'll be doing research this afternoon. Hopefully someone has brought one back from this before. Day 18 - The advice I received from 3 experienced growers was to stop fucking with it. Another grower told me to flush and pluck all the drying leaves. I went with the majority. This morning I noticed the leaves were very dry. I decided to mist Siri with some PH 6.8 water. She was really droopy prior to the mist, about an hour later she had perked right up. Some good growth overnight, so I think I'll continue to love her from a distance. Day 19 - Not much to report in growth. I continue to spray Siri with ph'd water twice a day. Her top growth is a bit bigger. Most of her action has been underneath the canopy as new shoots have developed. Day 20 - Siri looks similar up top. A bit of growth all around though. Underneath she has some new leaves really coming through. She continues to be short and fat. I will likely start LST on her next week. Day 21 - Most growth underneath. Not a whole lot to report on the grow front.

Day 22 - Great growth underneath and up top. I will be topping her very soon. She is also starting to stink. Very skunky form this girl already. Day 23 - Smell has gotten stronger, and she is growing quite well. She is small and bushy now. I will likely top her tomorrow. Day 24 - I took her out and topped her today and gave her underbrush a bit of a trim. Got rid of some dead leaves and made her look pretty. 1.5l of water today, without nutrients. Day 25 - Most of the growth under the canopy last night. The topped area appears to be healing. I bent her sideways in hopes that she might start to stretch out a bit. Day 26 - Great night last night. She added some height and a ton of foliage under the canopy. I also can see where she is starting 2 new nodes because of the topping. Very ecstatic. Day 27 - In a rush today, won't be much of an update. Just a picture

Day 30 - She is starting to fatten up, and all of her branches are starting to get long enough that I can train them. Day 31 - I did some more LST on her today. Tons of growth all over, it is getting difficult to access her main stem through all the branches and leaves. Day 32 - She is really bushy underneath, very difficult to grab the branches as they are all rather short. Trying to bend them outwards but there isn't much to grab on to. Day 33 - I did some more LST to her, the area I topped looks like a nightmare of branches right now. I'm not sure what happened. I cut some of the large fan leaves off of her to open the canopy up a bit. As you can see she is really bushy underneath. Day 34 - Tons of growth, and by god she is bushy. Almost impossible to get my fingers on the main stem. Hope that undergrowth starts to come through. Day 35 - Some good growth last night. I want to top her again before I flip next week, but she is too bushy, I can't discern where she starts and where she ends at the top. I'll have to continue LST on her to spread her out.

Day 36 - I see some slight hings of nute burn on some of her leaves today. I'll be watering her again tomorrow. I will dial back the nutes on her, and I will also go until runoff. She looks happy otherwise, just a very bushy girl. Very different than the rest of my plants, but I suspect that it will be to her benefit when she begins to stretch next week. Day 38 - Did some defoliation today and some light LST. Trying to get her growth in the middle to become more pronounced. It is just a mess of small branches. It was like untangling hair just to clip the large fan leaves that did not appear to be helping. Day 39- She has really become an awkward plant. I suspect that will change during her stretch though. Day 40 /41/42 - Great growth, still seems to have some issues with being bushy. Some leaves are having issues getting lights. I flipped to 12/12 on Day 42.

Day 43 - The flip has happened. Nothing yet, but she is looking healthy. Gave her some Bloom nutes today. Hope to see pistols within a week. Day 44 - Did some LST on the side branches to expose the middle more. She is a really oddly shaped girl at this point. Not a lot of space between branches, I hope that changes when she enters stretch. Day 45/46 - Gave her a bit of a trim today, and noticed that she is starting to stretch out a bit. This is exactly what I wanted to happen and she is looking great. Day 47 - Did some LST today to move all the side branches to where I want them. I will keep working on her for the next few weeks. Day 48 - Water today and not much else. I rotated her a bit to try to get some sun to the places that need it. I notice flowers starting, but no stretch on her yet. Her nodes are still very densely concentrated and short so it is difficult to do LST.

Day 50 - I did nothing to her today. Just snapped a picture. Day 51 - I gave her a trim where I could and removed some dead leaves from underneath that haven't been getting any light. Also gave her some water. Stretch appears to be starting now. Day 52 - She is certainly stretching, a big difference overnight. The nodes are all starting to space out and reach upward. The flower sites are becoming more pronounced as well. Day 53 - Did some LST today, she is finally big enough to start pulling branches. Though I did accidentally split the tip of the plant. Day 54 - My oddest girl right now. She isn't stretching as much as the others, but her bud sites are starting to become obvious to the naked eye. Day 55 - Bud sites are pronounced, and it looks like 2ndary bud sites are forming under the canopy. Really concerned that she isn't stretching, I might have a dwarf on my hands. Day 56 - The canopy is getting really thick. I think I'll have to make some space in the middle for light to penetrate.

Day 57 - I took a photo and then decided to trim the larger fan leaves in the middle. It is my hope that the light penetrating her will make her stretch a little bit. I just need a bit more so I can do LST and really open her up. Day 58 - The defoliation seemed to have helped as she has stretched overnight. I hope that continues as tomorrow I want to move her stems around again. Day 59 - Did some more defoliation today. She isn't stretching, and it seems to be hurting growth under the canopy. The top however looks amazing. Day 60 - Some difference in height today from the main nodes. The side nodes still have a long way to go. The main bud sites are developing, but not much secondary growth yet. Day 61 - Moving the light up seemed to help. She has stretched a bit overnight and that is what I want to see. Still a shorter plant, but that may be because of how I trained her. Day 62 - A bit more stretching, but really surprised at how large her buds are already. Day 63 - Did some LST and gave her some water and nutes today.

Day 64 - Bud site development looks good, but she is not a looker by any means. A really ugly gal right now, but this isn't a beauty contest. I just hope she can space out a bit more so light can get at the secondary bud sites. Day 65 - Her tops look amazing, everything else looks like complete crap. Not sure what to expect, but I do see bud sites under the canopy forming. I hope she ends up with a bunch of fat buds, but I am not sure what to expect from this plant going forward. Day 66 - I grabbed a different angle of her today. She has many bud sites, but all the branches are short. Not sure what to expect, I hope she gives some fat buds. Day 67 - Buds are growing, no real distinct odor yet. Day 68 - Not sure what to do with her at this point. I think i'll just let her do what she wants and hope for the best. Day 69 - Bud sites are developing, but not much outside of the main tops. Hopefully they get fat, I would ideally like to get an oz off of her. Day 70 - She is developing flowers up top, but not much underneath yet.

Day 71- Bud sites are starting to get larger. Still not a lot of secondary sites, but hopefully her main buds perform well. Day 72 - She looks happy, but is still an awkward plant. It looks like her tops are starting to fatten up a bit, so I'm a happy dude. Day 73 - She looks healthy, and her buds seem to be getting bigger. Still not much smell out of her. Day 74 - Not much to report today. Just a picture and back into the tent. Day 75/76 - Didn't really check on the girls yesterday as I was busy. Today I fed them some water. Day 77 - She is short, and doesn't have many secondary bud sites. Yet her main bus are starting to fatten up under the canopy. Though I can say just by looking at her that she is going to be a pain in the ass to trim.

Day 78 - Her buds are starting to get fatter, and very sticky to the touch. They are also incredibly dense compared to the other girls so it will be interesting to see what she does over the next few weeks. No real distinct smell from her yet. Day 79 - Still not much smell, and she will be getting some water today. Her buds are getting thick underneath. Day 80-83 - I don't smell pineapple yet, but I do smell a peppery lemon from her. She has the biggest buds of all the girls. They are fat under the canopy and very dense. While the critical looks to be the biggest yielder, this plant could give her a run of her money. I hope she continues to add weight over the next couple of weeks into harvest. Day 84-85 - Getting thicker every day, and starting to smell quite a bit. A very peppery smell with a hint of lemon. She has potential, not sure where the pineapple name comes from though, I assume it is from the pineapple shaped buds.

Day 86 - She is a very misleading plant. The tops look like they have added no weight over the past week. Reality is quite different though as they have put on quite a bit of thickness under the tops. While I'm looking forward to sampling her, I am not looking forward to trimming her. Day 87/88 - Starting to smell a bit more, and also getting very sticky. Day 89 - She keeps on chugging along, smell is getting more powerful every day. Day 90 - Did some defoliation last night, nice to see what she had under that skirt.

Day 92 - She is really sticky and her smell is starting to get a bit dank. Trichomes are about 70% cloudy and she has really dense buds. I don't think she will shrink as much during dry. Day 93 - Not much difference from yesterday. Trichomes are cloudy, but no amber spotted yet. This is likely her last week. She will be getting some water later today. Day 94 & 95 - Didn't see any amber today when I checked. A little water, and not much else. Day 96 - I think she is just about done now. I might even harvest her as early as tonight if I have time to trim. Otherwise I'll give her some water and wait until I do have time over the next few days. About 90% of her trichomes are cloudy. I would expect to see amber as early as tomorrow. Since she is a Kush, I don't think I want to have too much amber as it might induce couch-lock.

I ran into some issues with my plants early, and I honestly thought at one point I was going to lose them. They pulled through and eventually made it to harvest. This girl was short and thick. Lots of bud on her, and it was very dense. Oddly enough she smells like KFC chicken. A very peppery odor with a hint of something else. Maybe that is what the colonel uses as his secret ingredient. She was a pain to trim due to the thickness and size of her buds. I might make an auto trimmer. 152 grams wet and I am very pleased with the outcome. I will put her in my drying box and see what I get in a few days. 26g dry is the final tally. I over dried this girl by about 2 days, so I think she might actually add some weight with the boveda pack. Either way, I'm very happy with this grow.
