Welcome to my Peyote Cookies closet grow! This will be my second grow and after having some success with an autoflower, I'll be making the switch to photoperiods. Got three little shoots going with one of them slightly lagging behind but by a day max. Growing in a 70:30 mix of coco/perlite and feeding a with a weak rhizotonic solution every other day. 08/07/18 - Day 1 Two have nice green shoots with cotyledons getting greener by the day, the other one just popped out of the shell. I'm letting them stretch and will then bury them after a week. More updates on 10th. 10/07/18 - Day 3 All three have at least one set of leaves and looking nice and green. Been giving them a weak rhizo solution pH'd down to 5.8. More updates soon.

05/08/18 - Day 28 Both got topped two days ago - naturally, the larger plant recovered quicker and both have two growth nodes where they were topped. I'm looking to switch to flower in roughly two-three weeks so I hope I can get atleast another topping in there just to maximise the yield in an already small space. Worrid about vertical height so i'm certain most colas will be getting supercropped as and when needed. 09/08/18 - Day 32 Both plants show growth from being topped and two new branches have emerged. I've been LSTing them to keep them short but will have to do something more effective next week as I'm hella worried I'll run out of vertical space by the time the flower stretch is done. More updates soon.

12/08/18 - Day 35 Excellent growth on both; the smaller plant seems to be finally attempting to catch up to its bigger sister. I wish there was a way for me to fast-track the veg part of the grow; fortunately it's coming up to flower in the next two weeks so not too bad. Lots of bud sites on both plants. Lovely stuff. Busy week ahead, updates mid week. 16/08/18 - Day 39 Topped both plants again, might have been a little early but I know this will give them what they need to get a nice even canopy, wanna get two fat knuckles and a strong manifold. either that or a fucking bushy plant, i'd be happy with either haha. just finished a bowl of ggno.4, feeling relaxed - my plan is to switch over to flower in the next 10-14 days as I know they'll grow a lot during that initial stretch; to make to most of thew vertical space, I have lowered the light down to roughly 12" and will reduce it by a further 3" in the next few days to ensure the plants stay short and bushy! excited for what this grow has in store, i'm very optimistic. bring on week 6!

how to deal with watering plants while on holiday? I will be gone for 1 week, 1 plant is in 8L the other in 20L coco/perlite 70:30 mix. They will roughly be 3 weeks into flower when i'm away, i've considered using 6-8 ceramic water spikes hooked up to a 5L bottle. any ideas? thx

Hello Truro ! You systeme will run out of water too soon with the ceramic water spikes , It's summer (drying) and your plant will get bigger so will drink more during your vacation. The wicking technique is good (passive hydro) but you need to put a big water container for at least 3 weeks (math will helps). My better method in that kind of situation is to ... ask your bestfriend to do it 😂 , sound simple but it is in fact 😝 ! But seriously I would recommande you the "Tray" method , here is a link to ir : www.youtube.com/watch ! Here are links to tutorials : www.youtube.com/watch (wicking tech), www.youtube.com/watch (tray tech part 2) Hope it will help a bit 😁

20/08/18 Day 43 Relatively early switch to flower; I can see a lot of side growth as well as growth from multiple LST-ing of the two colas from the original topping. Those colas were then subsequently topped and there are two growth nodes on each of those so recovering pretty well. Due to the stretchy nature of this plant and time constraints, among other things, I've flipped to 12/12 today. Gave a veg feed last night so I'm not sure how that will affect the switch but from Wednesday, I'll be feeding bloom nutes to both girls. The smaller one has definitely started to catch up, I think it's roots have finally established properly and it's lapping up as much feed as it can. I've raised the light by a few inches to allow them to stretch over the next two weeks, this is all so I can supercrop and LST them into a nice canopy by the time September rolls round. 24/08/18 Day 45 Need to stop tending to the garden when high lol I fed with veg nutes again on Thurs. Just gave a little top-up of AN pH perfect bloom, i'm sure it'll help. Hopefully from Wk 7 there will be less mixups and I can stick to the feed schedule. If anyone has any tips on any safe PGRs I could use to maximize bud growth please hit me up! Atleast 8 tops on each plant so I'm to go into the flower period, should have a decent yield. Both plants recovering from the second topping well.

27/08 Accidentally chopped off another top - so fucking pissed off, this shit always happens at this time of the grow cycle. Otherwise looking great. Roots hit the bottom of the bag so should see an increase in growth rate.

02/09/18 - Day 14 Flower I'm filling this out at 2am - new batch of Stardawg keeping me nice and medicated, will probably have a lot of nonsense in here haha. I've changed the format of checking what day it is in cycle, this should make it easier to see what's what. They're finally showing signs of flowering and over the next couple of weeks I'll be tinkering with the nutes to see if i can get some nice juicy buds. i'm also going to be experimenting with a passive hydroponic wicking system to to deal with my watering problem at the end of the month.

09/09/18 Day 21 Flower A lot of growth in the past 7 days, the smaller plant has now become the larger plant and is stretching loads. A lot of bud development, fine layer of early trichomes across all of the buds. Considering adding new nutes to the feed but not sure which ones; bud candy or big bud are looking good right now. Moere updates soon.

16/09/18 Day 28F Alright no more faffing around with shitty pictures, hopefully these new filters will help out - any tips would be appreciated. The buds are starting to swell up, I'm going to lollipop the plants next week to allow max light penetration to the lower parts of the branches as well as to stress the plant a little and bump up those THC levels. I've come up with a solution for my absence at the end of the month; the larger plant can go 7 days between watering, will be a little dry at the end but it'll hack it. This plant has a shitty root system, barely drinks any water so most of the time the medium stays soaked for ages between watering. The smaller plant drinks like there's a drought coming so I've tried to get over this by using a gravel tray full of perlite as a passive reservoir for the pot. I last watered yesterday so we'll see how long they can actually go without watering. This should be a good indication. I've added CANNA BOOST as well as CANNA PK 13/14. I will be increasing the quantities of both of these in the coming weeks. More updates nest week.

23/09/18 - Day 35 Flower The smaller plant (which, of course, is now the larger plant as always) has really started to swell up. The tops are becoming purple and swelling up and we're only five weeks in - I can't wait til harvest day. Seeing Flavoursuk's PC diary has made me so excited for it - only about a month to go. More updates next week.

08/10/18 Day 50 Flower Coming along nicely, the larger plant seems to be more mature than the smaller plant and should be done within the next 10-15 days. Will start flush with a half feed tomorrow followed by pH'd water till the end. The smaller plant has atleast two weeks left but I will still be starting the flush at the same time for both. Thinking about how much overlap I want with my next grow; will probably be germinating at the start of next week so as to get atleast 2 weeks of overlap from seed which should mean I can expect another harvest at the end of January. Praying these buds swell up in the last two weeks, they're caked in crystals I'd llike them to fluff up a bit to hit my aim of atleast 1.5 oz.

12/10/18 Day 54 Not long left now, started the flush 4 days ago but I feel as if I might have left it a little too late. Looking to harvest day 60, some of the trichomes are cloudy but the buds have swollen quite a bit and the calyxes are retracting more and more daily. Not too worried about the relatively short flush since I didn't really go overboard with the nutes but I'd like to get the colours to fade a little before chopping, even if this means pushing it to day 64-65.

Happy Harvest Day!

Very easy to grow, had absolutely no problems (other than me snapping off 3 colas during weeks 6-9, although me being an idiot is not Barneys fault). Lovely purple colours all round, ice, spike, 2 days of dark followed by a wet trim. Hung to dry for 7 days. Harvested the small plant first as it was more mature, about two days between the two. Will post first smoke report in a week, second in 3 weeks. Will definitely grow again.

Love peyote cookie . It’s a great plant that has lots of branches. Standing above mine I did previously they looked like a spoked wheel. Branches everywhere. Good luck and hope to see pics . When you say stretch and bury, do you mean you will re pot with the stem below the soil top ? I’ve got a baby peyote critical that’s stretched and was toying with this idea . Does it work out ?
Truro
Trurocommented7 years ago
@Jollyfarmreview, hi man! thank you for commenting, yes that would work perfectly fine! yes that's exactly what i mean; as Kirr put it, whatever part of the stem you bury will eventually start growing roots so if you're having a stretch problem then definitely do so. If you cant find any rooting hormone or it's a little out of your budget, rhizotonic will help speed things up. Good luck! 😉
Kirr38
Kirr38commented7 years ago
It does, the stem will begin growing roots after sometime...just rub a lil rooting hormone or ground cinnamon in the stem before the re-pot to speed that process up some.

@OutForReal, believe me the colours are mesmerizing, at this point i'm a few days into the harvest window but I think I'll wait until day 60-65 atleast before chopping, no point coming this far to become impatient. mate do it, it is so good that I would consider growing it again right after this one finishes if I had the seeds!

@gellrin_greenthumb, cheers dude, glad you like it! i'm limited on vertical space so i've had to train them to stay short and bushy - topping and LST-ing have been great for that. looking forward to seeing how you train yours - good luck (:

I am a little constricted in width due to the closet I've set this up in and the amount of plants I ended up placing. I have a small 120×40x40 cm grow tent I still need to set up as well but I'm not sure that will suffice for 1 or 2 full grown plants.Any advice on training is always welcome
