Buds came out really small in comparison to the other plant that did 3 weeks outdoor instead of indoor, but I think it was also my fault of not understanding the fact that for this light you must use smaller pot or use techniques to optimize the harvest.
So Gon is gone!!!! 119 grams after drying! That was amazing though there were a lot of small buds. They took only 3 days in total to dry at 22ºC and 40-60% humidity.
Now I will do about 1/2 week of curing ‘cause the buds are already dried almost to the right point and also I can’t wait to taste it 😻😋
In the meantime I will have to chop Killua, he’s almost ready so I’ll add another week to show the results for him also.
I will update the smoke review when I vaporize it.
UPDATE 06/06: Killua is also gone! And it comes with 145 amazing grams of big buds! This time the buds are quite big so I am really happy. Unfortunately, about25 grams had been lost due to rotting including ALL the main bud on top of the plant 😭; however I am quite satisfied, this was like a “basic level” genetic and I am very happy of what came out. Also I learned a lot from the small mistakes I made during this grow and it will come in hand in the future.
This is all from this diary, I will now update the smoke test and then goodbye everyone, good grow and see you on the next diary! 😊
I think Gon is coming too much close to the light. I have little to no more space to raise the TS1000 and it’s already at 30 cm distance. Anyone has any advice of what should I do? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻
I just started week 9 of my first indoor grow and here is Gon which has A LOT of bud site but they are all quite small in my opinion. Is there something that I could do or I just leave it like that?
Maybe the light has not enough power? Could I bring him outdoor at this stage?
There nothing perticular you can do, and most prolly that just genetic and phenotype traits.
Yep 150W remain pretty small lamp so you shouldn't expect the biggest colas and buds ever.
And finally sure you can bring her outdoor at this stage.
Happy growing HxH 😉
@CRiSPrGrow, thank you so much for answering, but do you think that (given the small light) is better to transfer the boy outdoor? Or should I stay indoor?
I also think I got another 2/3 weeks to go so maybe could it be better for him to stay outdoor?
QUICK UPDATE: so, as a lot of you have suggested in the Question thread, I LSTed the main canopy of Gon. It’s my first time doing this so I hope the main stem won’t break but for now it’s looking normal. Distance from lamp is 35 cm so I gained like 20 cm of space which is great... but I think more LST will come in the next weeks. But we will see in the future, I think for today that’s enough. As always thanks for reading and a happy 4/20 to everybody 😊🍁
@SwissKush, yes I tried it from a friend and it's very good overall but the very best for me was Gorilla Cookies. I grew it last year and it was the most dense buds i've ever seen and also the taste and the effect were both unbelievable, that's definitely my favourite genetic from FastBuds.
@PotentGrower420 no, I prefer doing wet trimming for a lot of reasons:
- It's easier to trim wet leafs rather than doing it with dry ones.
- Doing wet trim reduces a lot the probability of mold formation during the drying process.
-You can trim more precisely with wet trim.
-You can clean and eliminate all the insects on the buds before drying if there are any.
-The buds will take less time drying because there is physically less plant material to dry.
However this is why I prefer wet trimming, but it's not an universal method of doing things and I know that there are a lot of people who prefer dry trimming
