Laughing Buddha

First week for my two little Laughing Buddha seedlings. They are not as fast as the FastBuds genetics next to them but still perfectly within normal growth parameters.

Some scraggly ass looking seedlings these are. Hoping they'll grow out of it soon. Third leaf pair is looking better than the first two.

Seedlings no more and potted up, the young plants moved into the DP90 over the weekend. Unlike the FastBuds plants next to them, which had a bit of a transplant shock and needed a few days to recover, these just soldiered on almost without skipping a beat.

They've done enough growing this week to take the tops as cuttings next week and flip them once they recover, to go into flower with 4 tops each.

Cuttings taken from main stems last weekend after the previous update. Recovery was quick, and they were flipped to 12/12 on Monday with 4 shoots each.

Week 2 of flower has seen them stretch pretty well, one more so than the other. Not much in terms of pistils yet so they're only getting straight A and B. I also had to take one of the shoots of #2 because I lost the cutting. 😕 Oh well.

Final week of stretch, just waiting for the clones to establish themselves a bit better before I lollipop these (or not if I need to re-veg one)

Budding started in earnest this week for these so I added the PK booster to their feeding regime.

Buds are chunking up. #2's cuttings have both rooted, even the one I initially thought I had lost (hence taking another one and only flowering with 3 instead of 4 shoots). #1 I'm probably going to have to re-veg because that cutting never rooted.

They chonked up a bit this week, #1 more so than #2 which has a decidedly higher leaf-to-bud ratio.

Week 7 saw them gain a good bit of weight. Starting them on their flush for the final two weeks or so, some will come down earlier and some a bit later - unfamiliar plants so going to have to go by trichomes to determine chop day.

Chonked up reasonably well considering they grew in tiny 1L air pots. They're meant to finish in 10 weeks, I've already started to flush, looking forward to seeing them develop a bit of a fade.

I only gave them 9 weeks after all because the other ones are ready for chop and these look ripe enough to come down too if a week early. I may give them 10 or 11 on their second run if they vape nicely. Harvest & vape reports coming in a month's time after a long dry & a bit of a cure.
