There she is. First week's progress.
Nothing too much done this week aside from water.
Was it too much watering? nutrient burn? (Fox Farms Happy Frog) light burn?
I notice little light yellowish/green spots at the center and towards the tips, as you can see in the photo. I thought I had over watered, as I've read that's a common mistake as a beginner grower. I had cut back the amount of watering throughout the week, hasn't gotten worse.
Could it be nutrient burn or light burn? Is it distinguishable?
Thanks in advance,
We'll see how she's looking next week.
Definitely more growth showing this week from her.
Minor concerns regarding leaves folding (I can see a slight fold in this weeks photo); I ordered pH up/down to help control the pH levels to possibly prevent leaves from folding.
I haven't added any nutrients to this grow, yet. I have the FoxFarm trio liquid nutes. Maybe I should begin a light nute feeding starting week 4? Maybe I should've started feeding with nutes already?
I'll do some more reading and see where we are at next week.
Still have not given any nutrients. I feel a bit nervous that I'll give too much.
Maybe I'll just add in a bit of liquid nutes from Fox Farms on the next feeding and see how it goes.
Started LST (first time doing so). Tried my best to arrange them so that bud sites are getting light. I'll keep an eye on it and adjust accordingly.
Continuing to maintain LST.
I added 1/3 liquid nutes according to the schedule (Fox Farms Trio) at one feeding this week. She didn't look as I expected the next day, and that made me nervous. So this week was only that one feeding with liquid nutes (went back to pHd water).
I will try another feeding this week with a little bit less nutes.
Other than that... things still seem to be going alright and I think she's looking good.
Again, this is my first grow and still discovering the process.
Continuing to flower.
I re-introduced Fox Farm trio with small amounts.
I also introduced Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus.
I cleaned up a couple of lower leaves that had turned yellow (in hopes that her energy wont go towards those anymore).
Things are still looking alright. We'll see when buds start coming in. I'm a little worried that they're going to come in... under-developed, small, airy.
Maybe too much nutrients... Leaves are wilting (or too much water?).
I trimmed yellowing / dead leaves based on research.
Feeling a bit antsy for her to finish. Just going to keep doing what I'm doing as she isn't dead.
Still looking good. Will post 9th week shortly since I am behind a week.
Trimmed off some dead leaves. Continuing with liquid nutes from Fox Farms at small doses (1/3 of what is recommended). I could probably boost it up but I think she's doing alright.
9th week.
I think they're looking pretty, pretty, pretty good. Happy with the turnout for a first grow.
Not sure if I should do another feeding this week and then flush for a week?
I'm not sure how much longer they have. Pistils are about 50/50 white & brown. I'll probably wait to harvest until I see a little mix of amber trichomes. So maybe I will do another feeding this week followed by flushing for another week maybe 2?
I've read a few times that Northern Light autos can take a little while in comparison to other autos.
I believe this is week 11 as I've missed taking photos for one of the weeks.
Trichomes are looking white, few clear, no ambers spotted.
Pistils are maybe 60/40 or 70/30 brown.
As the trichomes are looking good... I think I'm going to pay more attention to the pistils and once more of the fresher, whiter ones, turn brown is when I will plan to chop.
pHd water only from now on, no more nutes.
I'm antsy... I wanna harvest. Been flushing for the past week. pHd water only.
Seeing a bit more ambers pop up. However, seems like a lot more white pistils are showing. Will let them continue to flourish.
Seeing a few ambers here and there on the trichs, but also some are clear. A lot are milky though.
Once it's easier to spot ambers I'll consider chopping.
Letting her continue doing her thing.
I will come back and add some proper photos of the harvest.
Hygrometer reads 51%
They were just jarred, letting them sit for a while and will re-check the rH. I have 62% boveda packs just in-case they do not start climbing up.
Harvest total was a little over 2oz.
Buds are not super dense. I believe the light that I was using isn't that strong and could've prevented further density being formed.
Overall grow difficulty was easy. Just pHd water and tried my hand at a bit of liquid nutes throughout the grow.
2 week flush before harvest.
Difficult part was reading the plant itself and figuring out what she needed.
This was my FIRST grow. I am happy with the results and excited to start another shortly. Possibly Gorilla Glue autos or AK autos.
Smoked a bit of a popcorn bud from one of the bottom limbs. I got stoned... Can't wait to try an actual bud.
