Yet again I'm a bit worried about leaf tips. Are they looking normal?

I'll go with both Hashy and HerbalEdu on this one - a magnesium deficiency - but the question is, more accurately, WHY... Magnesium is a micronutrient that is only available to plants if the PH is in a good range... if the PH is out of whack, you can force feed pure magnesium and it won't do any good... So check the PH and get it in balance (runoff should be between 6.0 and 6.5)... If it's not in balance, do a good flush because you're most likely in a lock-out situation... run 3 gallons of PH'd water for each 1 gallon of pot size through your plant and then run a feed to them. Going forward, make sure you're giving them water/feed that's been PH'd and you should be good to go. If you don't have one, do think about investing in a good PH pen... Apera or Blue Lab are two excellent choices... Good luck!

Hi, continuing the previous question. pH runoff was 6.1 So I decided not to flush and gave it CalMag. Since then yellow tips doesn't spread any further, but the fan leaves on lower branches become fully yellow and died. Does that mean problem is getting bigger and I should flush?

hey there Rawsome, the yellowing of the leafs at the bottom is a nitrogen-related symptom, when the plant has too much nitrogen it can "lock out" meaning it stops absorbing it through the roots and starts cannabalising itself. You can tell it's nitrogren excess from the "too dark green" and "shiny" aspect of the leafs as well as the burnt tips. right now you're giving three additives, two of which contain N. You should be giving one NPK, one cal mag and one additive. Try to cut out all the additives except zym. Enzymes will help break down the excess N. The bad news is that lock out is quite a hard thing to fix, so the problem will get worse for 5 days to a week before it gets better. Keep a cool head , follow the plan, maybe try a flush if you like. Hope this helps ! 🚀

hey there, hope i answered your question, turns out pH is important but in soil 6.1 is pretty much perfect . By the way what's the pH of rainwater? 😉 anything else you need just let me know 👊

@CRiSPrGrow, yeah I know the answer too:) Funny I knew all of those things regarding NPK, but I was so distracted by the feeding schedule, trying to follow it... that I forgot all those things. I will change green sensation to PK 13-14 (0-13-14), obviously keep bloom and remove sugar royal. Anyway, I'm getting more experienced and that's cool, thanks man

@rawesome, haha it's not actually a joke, i know the answer, you should too right? Indoors, it's all about wrapping your head around the fact you're just trying to recreate perfect nature impectly. Rainwater pH clocks in at 5.5 , the optimum in soil is 6.0 , and that's all done through microbial life in nature (up to 6.5) .... anyways about NPK : for flower you want an NPK ratio like 4-9-9 , so right now you're giving bloom nutrients and feeding extra N . that's your problem right there, get rid of the sugar royal balance out your P ... you might need to work off of a PK booster. the thing is right now you're probably giving the NPK ratio for roses more than Canna, canna needs more P that some flowers. good luck man, always check your labels, and never listen to the vendors for these things
